Backstory: Christian is an only child, raised alone by his mother after his father abandoned the two. He was left in the company of family friends quite often during his childhood, while his mother would work full-time in order to support him. When he reached an age where he was mature enough to look after himself this changed; he would stay at home, sometimes venturing outside to speak to the neighbor, Robert Paulson. The man was the closest thing in his life to a father figure, and as one might expect Chris would often seek him out when the man's advice was necessary. It was something Chris could always count on, even during his especially difficult teen years.

Throughout the majority of his teen years Chris was well-known among his peers as a troublemaker. When things would get heated it would almost always wind up getting physical, and Chris usually came out on top; something that only made his terrible reputation even worse. When his mother finally found out their argument could clearly be heard outside the house, though Chris eventually succumbed to her authority and began to avoid fights when at all possible. Things continued on like this until he graduated from high school, and then he immediately enlisted in the military.

For the next two years his mother didn't hear from him at all, until one day when Christian showed up at the doorstep; he returned home on leave to make amends, having matured significantly in the previous two years. Before he left the young man paid Robert and his wife a visit, returning to base shortly afterwards. Over the next four years Chris would return home every few months to visit family and friends. One year ago this all came crashing down; Christian had been dishonorably discharged following a court-martial over an incident in which he had physically assaulted a superior officer. To this day he hasn't quite gotten back on his feet, and still refuses to discuss what exactly prompted him to attack his superior with anyone.

P.S. Just a reminder here, John. As far as most of his skills go he's rather out of practice. Also the military knowledge is pretty general stuff, wasn't sure what to categorize it as; pretty much tactics, formations, and so on.

I'm running a little behind on this, we had some pretty hardcore storms move through NC yesterday took down a lot of huge trees and with those my power until pretty late last night. Also, all the power surges appear to have blown my PC's power supply, I can get it started via the hair dryer trick but I only got it back together this afternoon. I'll do as much as I can to get stuff setup tomorrow.

I like your idea much better Clerith. I wrote the history as if we had an older brother, but didn't mention him other than the fact that he exists.

Name: Abraham “Abe” Charles Winchester
Age: 16
Height: 5'0″
Weight: 110 lbs.
Life: Abraham was the third and youngest child of the Martin family. He was always smaller than kids his own age, but what he lacked in height, he made up with intelligence. He was reading by the age of 4 and never stopped. He had the best grades in almost any class he was in. Add that to his small body and he was an instant target for bullies. Most of his early life was filled with running from said bullies and staying home, studying, and reading. In the 3rd grade, the young boy realized that he could recall anything he's seen with perfect clearity. By 7th grade, Abe discovered a skill that could help keep bullies off him and make him some money. With 3 signatures, Abe was able to recreate the signature with it being identical to any of the three. By charging his fellow classmates a few dollars and not helping those that harrassed him, Abe was able to make some money and keep bullies off his back. Of course, bullies who didn't know he could do this would still harrass you, until they learned his worth so running was always a staple of his. It was so important that he worked running into his detail routine since the 5th grade.

In the summer before high school, Abe came upon an interesting book about engineering. After reading the book, he found several others and began breaking apart anything he could and trying to put it back together before his parents found out. His first projects were the door knobs and locks of every door in the house. After a few experiment, Abe felt confident he could pick a lock given enough time and for the most part it was true, though it certainly was an awkward conversation when his parents found him with a bobby pin. Over the next couple years, Abe began taking apart bigger and bigger machines until he finally got to the car. He was unable to take apart a car before the outbreak so most of his knowledge is theoretical, but the knowledge is there.

Yeah I like that idea a little better. You two can be related, but instead of actually RPing the meeting event we can simply revisit that in RP that way we can avoid the 'setup' part of the RP and get right into actually doing something. Based on what you posted I can probably get you fully setup, Griff if you want to post up the same kinda info I can do the same for you and get all of our profiles up. I've started basic scenario building (IE I've picked the area of the city and general direction of our starting scenario I just need to do some maps and plan some encounters and then we can get moving on this, goal is to start this weekend)

My character ideas are that she (Jade) would be 19, in college but visiting her home in Oregon to be with family or something. She is athletic and somewhat proficient with handguns. Originally, this was because her brother was a police officer and he used to take her to the shooting range, but that can easily be changed to ex-boyfriend/grandfather etc. Appearance wise, I would be looking at Lara Croft from the new TR. I like how she looks like she has been through hell which is the look I'm going for haha. Kind of want her to be able to take care but look like she has struggled immensely in the process!
Perhaps Dys, you could be somebody who had rescued Griff/Jade earlier and the two tag along for your protection, seeing you as a grown up who can offer them that, plus doing their best to return the favour . The father and two kids things might be a bit difficult idk That's my character in a nutshell though, so I'm happy either way

I'm thinking Dys is a father, uncle, or god father to at least me or clerith (one applies to god father). Me and clerith are siblings and I'm a younger brother. With you being an older male, I can be like 16 and we still have a "leader" that appears strong. Plus we get an interesting question if we are immediate family, what happened to mom and how is everyone taking it.

It seems me and clerith are set on the brother/sister setup, if I'm wrong please correct me. Dys, you just have to decide how your guys related to us. The oldest of us two is only in college, so middle age works for father or the other two options I stated.

Ok, so Griff and Clerith I guess we need to discuss some character stuff before we get started and before I can start on the first scenario planning. Basically once I know a basic concept of our characters, relations, etc I can plan where we start everything and start making a map and get a few encounters planned and all that stuff.

My Character ideas...
Like last time I want to play an older middle aged man, who probably had a boring job and was down on his luck and all that in the real world and now has a more exciting life, lol.
