	Hetake by Three
	Feeling that the end of the battle was nigh Jonas readied himself as he took one final attack from the Hetake. The creatures body weight sent him stepping back, pain rushing through his body. As the pain passed he looked at Soren, his eyes were determined, he was ready to finish it. ” It's over, I can tell. ” Jonas said as he was already twisting his battered body. ” Eat this! ” The young man yelled as his sword tore through the Hetake sending it to it's grave. The battle over Jonas let out a sigh of relief as he picked up his stained tunic and headed back the way they had come.

back pushed against the wall, the rain continuing to poor and the darkness now fully set it the final Hatake did all it could do and put all of it's energy into one last ram on Jonas.

	Hetake by Three
	Soren watched idly as the beast charged into Jonas once more, ramming into him with its full weight in a desperate attempt to subdue him. Unfortunately for it he was far too determined to succumb to its attacks and retaliated with a brutal thrust which bit deep into the Hetake. Even though the creature wasn’t even in the condition to fight anymore it continued to struggle against them. Soren respected its determination to continue the fight, but he wasn’t just going to hold back either. Once he saw his chance he moved beside the beast and swung his weapon with all his might in a horizontal arc that cut deep into the beast. It wasn’t quite enough to finish it off, however, so he took a step back and called out to his comrade. “Jonas, finish it now!”

	Hetake by Three
	The aches were building, the steady downpour starting to irk Jonas, he was uncomfortable in the rain, his movements were impaired. He eyed his friend who had removed his outer clothing, soaked with water and adding weight. Realizing the benefit of this he stabbed his blade into the soft ground and in a swift motion slung hist shoulders back to free his heavy water logged tunic. His under clothes were clean, at least cleaner, though still soaked through. ” Smart, we should have done that from the start. ” Jonas spoke as he reached out, clasping the hilt of his blade and with a tug freed it from the mud. ” When this is all over and I'm out of this damn rain I'm going to sit on my ass for at least two or three days! ” Jonas continued with a smirk, letting his friend know that he was fit to carry the battle through to the end. With his blade now raised and his body feeling somewhat lighter the thrust at the nearby creature which was continually attempting to get close enough to ram him. In the back of his mind he could feel his body nearing the end of it's reserves, they would need to finish this fight sooner rather then later or Soren might actually have to carry him from the forest back to Truce.

Hetake by Three

The Hetake was worn, it' sbody clearly showing fatigue and injury. The repeated attacks, though not powerful in their own right were wearing the fungi down, all it could do was fight on. Throwing itself forward, it's mobility aided by the mud, it slammed into Jonas.

	Hetake by Three
	As the battle waged on the drizzle became a furious downpour, and Soren’s damp and muddy coat quickly became soaking wet. It was heavy and uncomfortable now, more of a burden than anything else. Soren was starting to feel the effects of fatigue as well, with his breath becoming harder to catch and his joints starting to ache. Jonas was quick to comment on the rain and simply nodded in agreement. “It would seem our opponent is fond of this weather,” Soren observed as he thrust his weapon into the ground, then deftly undid the buckles around his wrists before tossing his soaked coat next to his scabbard. Without the waterlogged coat he felt significantly lighter, which was quite the relief; not to mention the cold feel of rain against his exposed skin was rather soothing? Soren reached for the hilt of his weapon with his right hand, and massaged his right shoulder with the left. “That’s much better.” Soren declared with a smile. Even though the rain had started to soak his sleeveless red shirt his arms were allowed free movement now, without the extra weight of the waterlogged coat to slow him down. Now that his movement was unimpaired by his coat Soren charged forward at the beast. With freedom of movement returned he was capable of the same agility demonstrated at the start of the battle. Something that Soren was all too happy to demonstrate such as he closed the gap between them, taking hold of the massive katana with both hands and jumping straight into the air with a rising slash. It was rare for him to display such a flourish, but then he felt it important to show the beast they were easily capable of exceeding its minor increase in dexterity.

	Hetake by Three
	Another attack had once again flug Jonas backwards, though he was able to keep his balance and not fall to the mud soaked forest ground. Looking upwards he cursed the weather, the footing was getting worse and worse but the Hetake seemed to have no trouble, in fact he could swear it was moving better. Waving off Soren who he thought may come to his aide he raised his blade up, grasping the hilt with both hands as it was becoming slick. ” It's this damn weather, it's harder to move, but look at it, it's clearly just as wounded as I am, push on. ” He spoke, hoping to reassure his friend who had up to this point mostly been ignored by the enemies, as if they had some kind of beef to settle with Jonas and Jonas only. Pulling his weapon back, the edge gleaming and refracted the little light left he jerked hard as he darted, all be it slower than normal, towards the final creature, slashing it across the back.

Hetake by Three

The rain was pooring down harder now, making it's way through the upper canopy in a downpoor. The final Hetake was weakened, it's fatigue was also showing, it was becoming aware that it was out numbered. Focusing on Jonas it rammed again, hoping to do as much damage as possible.

	Hetake by Three
	Soren couldn’t keep the beast’s attention away from Jonas, and it charged at his friend once more. In spite of his best efforts the monster was easily able to shove him out of the way, leaving Jonas exposed to further attack. It hadn’t managed to physically wound him when it forced him aside, though he couldn’t deny the blow to his pride. Such was obvious in his current expression as he clenched his teeth, brow furrowed in frustration. Normally he was a rather gentle person, but the concentrated attacks against his friend and the blow to his pride put him on edge. “If that’s what you want,” Soren quietly acknowledged while carefully moving to a more advantageous position. Once he was opposite Jonas, the beast between the two of them, he waited until his friend started to launch an attack. Soren took only a few steps forward before thrusting his weapon toward the beast while Jonas hacked at it.. Combined with the considerable size of his katana his one-handed wield style allowed him to stab the beast from quite a distance; though he couldn’t deny that the wound was only a shallow one.

	Hetake by Three
	Jonas was unsurprised by the Hetake's desire to see him finished, he was after all the most injured of the two. His fatigue was growing and he knew he would not be able to carry on like this for ever, however he was still strong enough to fight on and he would not ask Soren for aide unless it was dire. Nodding to his friend's words of encouragement Jonas picked himself up again, a nagging urge for it to be the last time was pervasive now, he would push on and do what he could. ” I'mn fine, just worn out, I haven't been in a battle like this in some time. I'll manage though, just keep hacking at the damn thing, clearly they aren't that tough. ” Jonas replied to Soren, before throwing his shoulders back and heading around the creatures back, using his superior speed to get an open swipe at the Hetake. Leveling his sword as he swung Jonas struck the fungi in the rear and plotted his movements to distance himself from the creature.

Hetake by Three

The final Hetake could see the weakness and fatigue in Jonas and continued it's pursuit of some kind of victory. Powering ahead it reared back as it closed the distance and allowed it's massive weight to fall into Jonas with a ram like attack.

	Hetake by Three
	Soren could only watch as the lone Hetake charged at Jonas, ramming into him and sending him crashing into the mud. There was no longer any doubt that Jonas was in need of a respite from the beast’s assault. Even though Jonas was quick to get back on his feet, Soren couldn’t shake the thought that it was only a display of bravado. If the monster continued to attack Jonas it was likely he wouldn’t be able to continue with the battle; something had to be done about that. “I have your back, Jonas. Take a moment to catch your breath.” Soren assured his friend as he calmly moved between Jonas and the monster, his weapon held out toward the Hetake threateningly. Despite the unwieldy size of his katana he showed no difficulty using the weapon with only one arm; an idea that was reinforced when he easily slashed at the beast. Soren kept his left arm slightly extended in front of Jonas, in order to offer his friend the chance to recuperate. “Once you see an opportunity take it, but be careful. I’d rather not have to finish this on my own.”

	Hetake by Three
	Jonas was sent flying backwards by the Hetake's ram attack, his body just not able to hold as the creature of the fungi's size put all of it's weight into an attack. Knowing that Soren would fear his health Jonas pulled himself up from the mud quickly, again smearing his tunic and pants as he regained himself. ” It's two on one now. ” Said to the Hetake, his eyes leering from across the forest clearing at the final attacker. He knew he was worn out, he would no longer have the energy to throw his body around as he had for most of the encounter but he could still do his part. Blade held up, Jonas charged and brought the cutting edge down swiftly, putting his full force behind the slash.

Fear had set in for the final Hetake, who had now watched two of it's own be cut down by the two adventurers that had stumbled into the forest. Rage present the last creature did all it could to survive, targeted the weakened Jonas with a ram that the young man could not avoid.
