This is a Starz original series that I'm really liking. I'm a fan of Da Vinci, but honestly don't know much about him, mainly vague concepts. Mainly connecting to him as an artist that likes “rules” over expression, but going back to the show its amazing.

It's mainly about Da Vinci joining a secret organization called The Sons of Mithras and trying to find the book of leaves. There is a story going on around him that is a war between Florence and Rome. Its really interesting with twists that Da Vinci finds ingenious way to get out, as you'd expect. It only has 8 episodes so far, leaving you hanging as expected in the first season, but season 2 starts March 22nd. It's definately something to check out.

My one problem is the same problem I have with all premium channels. Their nudity. Now, I have no problem with it in concept and is a good idea. I assume they don't need to follow as many FCC rules since you need to pay specifically for it so why not show off some tits. Sex sells to its kind of an added bonus. My problem with it is the actresses that they get. Its just disappointing. Multiple girls have bigger nipples than actual boob. Its like asking someone for a piece of gum and they give you nicorette, and you don't smoke. Or your friend tells you hes gonna come over with some people to play beer pong and brings over pong toss, a beer pong video games. A lot of the nudity is really not needed and I'm left thinking, ah thanks for the nipple. And I don't like the trend of showing dick now. I'm pretty sure not even girls like to see a penis surrounded by pubs so thick its fur. But most of this applies to most premium channels. I have seen a few good tits, tbh, but I'm pretty sure only teenagers get excited about seeing glimpses of boobs for like 10 secs.

Just a disclaimer, Da Vinci's Demons does show dicks from time to time, one I'm assuming is a prostectic, you'll know what I mean when it comes up. I don't think it takes away from it that much, assuming you can control your eyes and focus on other factors for 5, 10 seconds max.

Overall, it's definitely a show to check out if you like Da Vinci, it shows how his mind could have worked and has good graphics to show it. His inventions are awesome and he's arrogant asshole that can get out of anything. If you like shows that shows how the catholic church use to be, of course with artistic expression, this is also a good show for that. They even show ancient treasures that the vatican, may or may not, have it their secret archives. Its just really cool. I'll probably start reading books bout Da Vinci.
