Though many people might not come here now, that can be changed. Once you have some solid physical work up to show people I don't think you'll have any problem finding your RPers. We'll get the word out.

Alright people, I've already been doing some work on the site's content. John can vouch for that. Might be a long shot given the activity here and the popularity of Mother/Earthbound, but if anyone reads this, are you interested in being a part of this? I currently have plans to only allow four or five players, so respond quickly if you have any interest at all! Thanks!

UPDATE: I finished Earthbound. The ending was a bit of a letdown, honestly. It didn't make a whole lot of sense. Mother's ending was much more put together, albeit sappy. Next in line is Mother 3, which will have to wait a couple of weeks I think. I have too much stuff to do. However, the RPG is looking like a go.

In other news, I'm 75% through Earthbound. One of the most frustrating, but addictive RPGs I've ever played. And like I told you on FB chat, THE SCRIPT IS SO GOOD.

I've seen them go that high before, usually they end up somewhere around like $80-120 for just the cart. That's insane, for that much I can by a flashcart and put tons of roms on it and play it on my SNES lol.

For sure. I was browsing the Earthbound wiki earlier and started reading about prices/auctions. Then went on ebay and saw that they were going for ~$150. Said screw actually buying a copy to play. So now I'm playing the SNES ROM, as opposed to the translated GBA version. I guess I forgot to mention that I beat Mother earlier and then went straight into Earthbound, haha.

I'll probably never play smash bros. however Earthbound is the shit. It's a SNES game that I'd like to buy, but it's always way to much. I mean CT and FFVI are not cheap games but Earthbound is like twice as much as them.

There's a lot of Mother/Earthbound stuff in Smash Brothers. Ness (who has been around since the first game), Lucas, Jeff and Mr. Saturn are summoned characters, the Franklin Badge, a couple of levels are based on places in the games as well as the accompanying music. Not to mention some items in SSB such as the Home Run Bat are inspired by the Mother series.

But yeah, Smash Brothers is extremely fun, especially if you have people to play with.

Ah I wasn't aware there were characters from the Mother series represented in those games (cause I've never played any smash brothers lol)

Well, if people have played Smash Brothers, they at least heard of Ness (and probably Lucas if they've played Brawl). But hopefully the content/presentation will be good enough for it to stand on its own and people won't just write it off because they haven't played the games.

I think Earthbound would make a good RPG, however it's kinda in that case of "who's actually heard of/palyed Earthbound that you know?" realm.

I obviously haven't been as active on here as I'd like over the last couple of months. However, even under the pressures of college/life, I've still found time to enjoy myself (probably more than I should). Lately, I've been playing Mother (Earthbound Zero) on a fan-translated GBA ROM. I really enjoy the story and the humorous nature of the game.

So, thinking ahead...once school lets up and I'm done playing the series of games, I'm considering developing a Mother/Earthbound RPG. There's already a lot of material to work off of. Pretty much, I'll come up with a story in the same universe as the game and allow players (probably just a handful) to play it out, saving the world in much the same way that Ninten/Ness/Lucas do. I consider myself a funny/well-humored guy, so I think this is a good place for me to jump back into the scene.

But only time will tell. Does anyone have any thoughts?
