This is a really cool british show thats been around since like the 60s I think. It's about an alien who travels with a female human in his time machine that looks like a police box. Each episode is generally a stand alone episode, maybe 2 total, and that story's complete, but their is generally an overlapping theme in them. It shows it has a small budget, I'm guessing british tv shows have smaller budgets than here, but its still really good. It got a relaunch in 05 and I've been watching since then. One cool feature is the actor for the Doctor changes from time to time. Along with that comes a new personality so really keeps the show interesting. The Doctor, the only name you get hence the Who, is from a race known as the Time Lords, he's the last one left. When near death, they can basically remake themselves. They generally stay 30s range, but he's like 900 years old. I should add that he's not actually immortal. If someone kills him, he dies. Its more like a he won or got away, but he's mortally wounded situation with a extreme weakness period after. Tea, of course, it what snaps him out of it, at least the first time I saw it happen. I really like the first doctor from the relaunch, but the 2nd seems to have potential as well. Definately a show to check out.
