    The crowd went wild as Yamcha burst forward with his series of powerful attacks which ended on the most powerful blow of all, a strike that would send Man-wolf flying backwards. Yamcha's foe eventually skidded to a stop near the edge of the ring, the crowd now going silent as they waited to erupt if Man-Wolf was able to pick himself back up, but aside from a slight twitch he remained motionless.
   ” I think, we have a winner! ” The announcer had made his way back into the ring.
   ” But not only that, the judges have informed me that both fighters have qualified for the touranment! ” He finished as the crowd cheered on.     —

For a moment before the first attack, Man-Wolf could have sworn he saw a wolf spirt behind the boy. With each attack, Man-Wolf could feel himself being pushed back, but there was nothing the figher could do. The last attack sent Man-Wolf flying out of the arena and sliding across the ground, knocked out. After a single twitch of his right leg, the hybrid warrior laid motionless.

    There was a sense of relief followed by the flow of pain through his body as he struck the hard stone tiles of the world tounament ring. Yamcha tumbled across the stone sliding to a stop and slowly pulling himself to his feet, the aches growing more severe with each moment. He knew that he could not tolerate much more punishment from his brute of an opponent and would have to attempt to end it quickly.
   ” To think I would have to show this attack to you, in the qualifying round. ” Yamcha addressed Man-wolf as his dug into the floor of the arena with legs darting forward, his speed increasing substantially with each step.
   ” Wolf Fang FIST! ” He shouted as he launched himself into the air off his back foot at Man-wold, both palms semi-open striking in rhythm one after another before he combined them and with all of his power pushed forward towards the check of his foe.     —

Man-Wolf had forgotten about how sensitive his nose was when he was in his wolf form and was momentarily unable to process what he was seeing due to the pain. Man-Wolf threw Yamcha away as he stepped backwards trying to regain his composure as he felt blood run from his nostril. After a couple of seconds, Man-Wolf regained control over his senses and went back into a fighting position while baring his teeth towards Yamcha.

    Yamcha felt the sense of accomplishment rush over him as his double kick found it's target squarely and hurled the Man-wolf back several meters across the arena ring.
   ” To bad I'm going to have to crush your tournament hopes. ” Yamcha found himself saying as he was regaining his normal posture, a sense of superiority coming through as he spoke. Brushing himself off Yamcha was caught by surprise by his opponents speed and within moments found himself bound, the furry arms of his foe squeezing tightly on his upper body. He felt the strain on his shoulders as he tried to push back, resisting the force of the binding squeeze.
   ” ahhh..err.ehhhhhh ” Yamcha vocalized his pain as his mind raced, sensing that his opponents grasp would be too tight to break with simple strength. Digging deep he knew he would have to use the only weapon he had left, his stubborn hard head, and with a swift strike he attempted to headbutt Man-wolf and break his terrorizing grasp.     —

A large snarl crossed his face as he sprung forward with claws drawn to chase after his opponent who had fallen to the ground only to see the feint a little too late. Tensing his abs to take the blow, Man-Wolf felt both feet connect with his abdomen and his feet staggered back several steps as he coughed out a little blood. "Could say the same about you." Man-Wolf spit out a large amount of what looked like blood, but was mainly saliva. Not wasting a moment, Man-Wolf rushed his opponent trying to grapple the young fighter and wrap his arms around Yamcha and squeeze with all the force he could.

    Yamcha watched in seemingly slow motion as his body twisted round and the all most full force of his kick connected squarely with his opponent's upper arm, heaving Man-Wolf across the area. Taking in a series of deep breaths Yamcha eyed his foe closely as he rose and with a loud hounds howl leapt back into action with another series of swift punches.
   ” This again, I've seen this alre— ” Yamcha was saying with confidence before abruptly stopping as Man-Wolf's own roundhouse kick caught him off guard and almost full force in the mid-section, his body having just enough time to tense up to absorb as much of the blow as possible. Yamcha felt his feet lift from the tournament ring and for what seemed like ages he seemed to float before toppling to the ring below. Slow to get up Yamcha wiped away a stream of blood that had emerged from the corner of his mouth. ” Not bad. ” Yamcha uttered before planting both palms squarely on the ring tiles below then with extreme quickness and force he swung both legs forward from under him attempting to catch his foe in the stomach.     —

His right fist relaxed and allowed the piece of Yamcha's gi that it had ripped hit the ground. Confident that he had a good handle on his opponent, Man-Wolf howled in delight, forseeing his victory. Believing he knew his opponent's top speed, Man-Wolf watched as Yamcha charged at him, ready to dodge, but Man-Wolf did not expect the increased speed. Instinct kicked in and the fighter's right hand came up to hit the side of Yamcha's hamstring. Man-Wolf's hand was too slow and did not reach his opponent till slightly before Yamcha's attacks landed, decreasing the impact, but still sending the fighter across the arena. 

Man-Wolf jumped to his feet, not underestimating his opponent again, and gripped his shoulder snapped it back place with a large snarl. Releasing a loud growl, Man-Wolf sprinted towards Yamcha with another combination of quick jabs ending with a roundhouse kick to the abdomen.

    Yamcha reacted as quickly as possible as the claws of his opponent ripped though his gi with enough force to still send him staggering back from the attack. Looking down at the tatters of his gi Yamcha felt his heart thumping in his chest, sensing that he could have just been gravely injured.
   ” Damn, you have claws too?! ” Yamcha's voice showed that he had under estimated his opponent and only now truly saw that he would have to go all out to defeat him. ” Since you're not holding anything back, then neither should I. ” A arrogant smirk had wormed its way across Yamcha's face as he kicked off his back foot swiftly cutting the distance between he and Man-Wold before twisting his body like a tornado and delivering a powerful roundhouse kick towards the shoulder area of his opponent.     —

Watching each of the attacks, Man-Wolf felt like he was being attacked by an actual wolf and could tell that the warrior in front of him was trained to imitate the majestic beast. Too bad for Yamcha, Man-Wolf was trained by an actual wolf, his father, and he been fighting one his whole life. Off in the crowd, Man-Wolf heard the raspy voice of one of Yamcha's cheering team, "Come on, wolf boy, beat that wolf man." Man-Wolf's teeth clenched at that comment as he continued dodging Yamcha's attack and his right hand mimicked the style Yamcha's, but his own baring sharp claws, "Try a real wolf's claw!" Man-Wolf planted his right foot, ducked his body, and swung his right hand forward towards the fighter's abdomen.

    Yamcha felt his nerves calming as he took in a series of deep breaths, his body beginning to find it's center and his mind starting to focus. He locked eyes with the wolf man, seeing that he blow, though it had been blocked, had still made a point.
   ” You're fast, but I'm fast too. ” Yamcha spoke as he lowered his stance, bringing his arms up in a swirl before clenching his fingers into tight claws. ” Let's see how you handle my speed! ” Yamcha said with emphasis before launching himself off his back leg, sprinting the distance between himself and his foe before unleashing his own brand of fast swipes.     —

As his frustation grew, as his attacks continued to miss and Man-Wolf hyper focused on his attacks to speed them up to no avail until he noticed slightly too late an attack going for his left flank. Only having a moment to brace himself, the fighter was able to get down his arm down to take the blow. Man-Wolf jumped back with the blow to reduce the force and regroup, the pain causing his mind to come back and see his opponent as a true threat regardless of his appearance. This time Man-Wolf watched his opponent with precision waiting for Yamcha to make his next move.

    The volume of the crowd grew to extreme levels as the announcer motioned for the fight to begin, it seemed for an instant like the entire ring was shaking but as soon as Man-Wolf moved the crowd fell silent, waiting to explode upon first impact. Yamcha's Combat instincts told him to move backwards and they proved to be correct as Man-Wolf launched himself forward with great speed throwing a series of quick, but weak jabs towards Yamcha. Doing his best Yamcha bobbed and weaved to move just out of range of the punches all while moving quickly backwards.
   ” He's fast, but how strong is he? ”Yamcha said to himself as he slid away to his left a few meters before reaching the edge of the ring and with one quick motion attempted to send a powerful strike with his right hand to the kidney area of his foe.     —

Thinking that Yamcha mixed up his name on purpose to point out his ugly wolf form over his much more handsome human aspect. Fist and teeth clenched as Man-Wolf bent his knees before running towards Yamcha, "It's Man-Wolf!" The wolf blood in Man-Wolf caused his anger to take over his fighting logic and led with a series of quick punches, not testing out his opponent, but instead trying to overpower with speed.

    The bass thump of the crowd energized Yamcha as he walked through the doorway next to his opponent, the creature named Man-Wolf. Yamcha was unfamiliar with this fighter, but he knew that taking him for granted would be a mistake, he would focus and give this fight his all, hoping to qualify for the actual tournament fights that would begin later in the week.
   ” Don't be so sure of that.. uh.. what was it? Wolf-man? ” Yamcha replied as he moved up the steps into the magnificent World Tournament Ring. ” Ladies and Gentlemen, here we have Yamcha and Man-Wolf two world class fighters on the cusp of qualifying for the tournament, our judges will be keeping a keen eye on both of them as they dual for your pleasure! ” The announcer said as he motioned to both of the fighters before slowly backing away down the stairs and with a wave of the arm signaling them to begin.     —
