techniques are very powerful and useful abilities that your character can learn through training to help them in battle some way. there are two main kind of techniques; active techniques and ones that require tech points to use. active techniques are active all the time. once they have been learned they do not require any tech points to use in combat. techniques that do require tech points can be used as many times as you like, so long as you have the tech points to use them.
 
h o w  t o  l e a r n  t e c h n i q u e s
upon starting on trigun project seeds your character will have 20 ability points which he/she can spend on starting techniques. when you have found a technique you wish to learn simply check the prerequisites of the technique to make sure you can learn it, then if everything is clear subtract the number of ability points from your bio that the technique costs. please remember that if your character does not have enough ability points to learn the technique, then he/she cannot.

ability points, unlike the slew of other statistics that represent your character, do not increase simply by leveling your character up. in a DM’d roleplay like trigun project seeds the dungeon master will award ability points for things you do in the rp, thread stats from the rp, or other reasons the DM feels the need to award them.

to use techniques that are not active you will be required to spend some of your characters tech points, these points will raise as your character levels up and after healing will refill. if your characters tech points run out in combat you will not be able to use any techniques that require those tech points, however there are ways to regain these through items.

one of the great features used here on trigun project seeds is the ability to create your own techniques and use them in combat. there is not a strict system about how to create the techniques meaning whatever you can imagine for your character (in the realm of believability within the trigun universe) is possible. when creating a custom technique a manager will work directly with you to make the technique work within the sites battle system. if you have an idea for a custom technique for your character and your ready to get the process rolling simply post it with details on the techniques board. learning custom techniques is done in the same way that your would learn any other technique, based on the skill level and power of the technique requirements as well as prerequisites will be decided by the managers and then you will have to learn the technique through rp as with a normal ability. custom techniques will only be able to be used by your character unless you decide to teach that technique to others by training them to use it.

many of you may want to create techniques that raise the percentages of a bullet hitting a certain part of the body (lets say head shot) remember that when you do this, you will have to subtract that same percentage from another body section. you may also want to increase the damage done by your shots, or melee attacks, this is possible as well, you will just use a damage multiplier (like x2 damage) the higher the percentages or multipliers, the more words and prerequisites your custom techniques will have, so make sure you keep that in mind before creation all powerful techniques.
