” Yeah, of course you do… ” Koichi mumbled after the demon bulked up even more as he seemed to pick his target. Sensing he might have to take a few punches to get a win Koichi decided to go all out, if he was going to draw his attention he was going to do it the best he could. ” Look here you big ass dumb brute, we're here to stop you and your boss from doing whatever it is he's doing. I've had a long day and honestly you know we're going to kick your ass so fine, have it your way. ” With a kick up of dust from the dirty warehouse floor Koichi took a quick step, leaping from his left leg out in front of him as he turned his body to his right spinning around backwards as he brought the spirit blade arcing again towards the thug, sensing he would be rebuffed but hoping that Ichii would land a strong enough blow on his wound to give himself another shot at a paralyzing blow. |

Case One: Demons Abound |
|

Iichi's punch landed square on the demon's back. The muscles that had bulked up to wrap around the wound began to recede back to their normal size. The yelled in pain as he brought left his arm forward, pulling off the bumper of the truck. The white cloth still wrapped firmly around his bicep. The demon attempted to react to Koichi's attack, but found himself feeling sluggish as he brought up his right forearm to the brunt of the attack.
The blade cut deep, dark blue blood flowed from the demon's wound. “What have you done to me?!” The demon said as he looked back towards Iichi. With a coy grin, Iichi reached out his arm wide. The two white cloths begin to glow red as they moved into each of Iichi's hands. The demon's arm caught tight behind his back, the muscles on not only his arm, but throughout his body began to shrink. Iichi strained as he focused his own energy through the cloths and restraining the demon.
A large should could be heard from outside the warehouse. “What is going on in there? That truck better be loaded.” The teen demon's voice could be heard coming from outside. Iichi looked over at Koichi, “Quick before we have more company.”

Case One: Demons Abound

| |
The demon let out a wallowing yell as Ichii struck the partially guarded wound on it's back and reacted slowly as Koichi came flying in for his second attack, which peppered a splatter of blue blood across his suit as he landed. Koichi looked down at the mess on his clothes then back up at the demon when he heard the shout coming from somewhere outside, it was the red-head.
” Yeah, this shit better not stain… ” Koichi muttered under his breath as he tensed his body letting the energy blade dissipate from his right hand for the moment as he focused everything he had into his fist, then with a leaping uppercut put all of his force into one strike which he hoped would finish the demon and leave them time to regroup. |

Case One: Demons Abound |
|
|
Koichi's uppercut landed squarely on the jaw of the demon, lifted him off the ground before coming down to the ground. The demon laid unconscious on the ground as Iichi called back his clothes, now back white, into his sleeves. The demon's mouth laid open and a similar creature as before fell out, also not moving.
Iichi walked over towards the body that had contained the demon then over at Koichi. His face showing utter confusion, “This guy's suppose to be human.” Iichi said as he gestured to the body they had just fought, “What are they doing to these humans?” Iichi was lost for words as a bright light began to make its way around the truck that was blocking much of the door to the warehouse. The sound of a car door opening then closing was followed by footsteps. Iichi walked towards Koichi and began to rummage through his messenger bag that hung off his shoulder, “Better get ready, those two seemed like actual demons and not just possessing human bodies.”

| |
Koichi felt the impact of the blow as his clenched fist connected with the lower jaw of the possessed Yakuza, lifting him from the concrete ground of the warehouse before he fell hard to it with a puff of dust rising around him after he struck. He watched as the man's mouth spilled open and another of the little creatures fell out, as stunned as the man, unlike the one that had escaped Hideki earlier the same day. Koichi felt a revulsion to the creature and as Ichii began to speak he felt himself compelled, and without hesitation he brought the sole of his shoe swiftly down upon the stunned thing, smashing it between the concrete and his boot.
” Whatever it is they're doing I don't like it. I guess we're going to have to do something about that right?! ” Koichi said as he lifted his foot and instinctively scraped it across the floor, trying to remove as much of the muck as he could from his boot. ” Let's get this over with, it's been a long day and frankly I'm tired. ” Koichi said as he didn't even bother to hide from the men, stepping from behind the crates into the headlamps of the car. |

Iichi thrusted his hand up in the air from out of the his messenger bag. His fingerless gloves back in his hands, followed by a soft hum, “Dun, dun, dunnn, dahhh.” Iichi mumbled to himself as he flipped the gloves on. The gloves sparked up with electricity immediately then returned to normal. Iichi looked over at Koichi as he waited in the warehouse, side by side with Koichi, “Yea, it looks we stumbled onto more than just a vault heist, huh.” Iichi looked at the once human body with blue blood flowing from it's wounds. The ability to store both demon and human energy in a human body intrigued him, but the horrors that came with it, not so much.

Case One: Demons Abound |

|
The two shadows could be seen set behind the bright headlights of the car. Each shadows walked on opposite sides of the truck. Once the two figures were past the truck and inside the warehouse, their features became apparent. The smaller of to was the demon they had seen outside yelling orders. His sharp teeth bared against the two intruders in anger, “What do you think you two are doing?!” His voice seemed to scrap against his sharp teeth as it came out as if dragged on gravel. The other figure, apparently the boss he had been speaking with, stood tall over the demon and eye to eye with Koichi. His anger seemed cold as he seized up the group. “Hold on, Eijiro.” The boss walked towards the human that laid unconscious from Iichi's attack.
The boss put his hand on the unconscious human. What appeared to be a white cloud came out from the human's mouth. The boss grabbed the cloud then grabbed it into his mouth. “Looks like the dinner came to me this time. Now before I eat your soul, who sent you and why are you here?”

Koichi keep his eyes focused on the movement of the two demons as the red head returned from his meeting with who he could only assume was the 'Boss'. The aura coming from the taller of the two was eerie and sent a sudden chill up Koichi's spine as he tried to look into his dark recessed eyes, attempting to get some kind of read on his strength, a effort that was rendered moot when the Boss as he was solely known confidently walked to the unconscious body of the Yakuza thug and without remorse ate his living soul from his body.
” What did you get me into? ” Koichi said as he turned towards Ichii who now was donning the gloves he had worn earlier in the day. ” Listen you two, whatever is in this truck, it's coming with us. I'm guessing we're going to have to fight about it, but you know who we work for. ” Koichi was explaining the situation to Red and the Boss now, throwing a side glance and shrug to Ichii as he spoke knowing it wouldn't matter, really just trying to buy a little more time to come up with a plan. |

Iichi's eye grew wide as he watched the Boss extract the soul from the thug and devour it. “A Kyukonki.” Iichi mumbled under his breath as he looked over at Koichi. “You're a spirit detective, what did you expect? A low class demon that devours human souls.” Iichi's eye darted towards the human bodies that still laid unmoving in the back of the warehouse then back to Koichi quickly, “This should be nothing for you.” Iichi removed his messenger back from around his shoulder and let it drop to the ground, “Now let's make this and come with us before anyone else has to get hurt.”

Eijiro gripped his teeth and clutched his fists as Iichi spoke, “A bunch of Koenma's lackeys.” Eijiro looked over at his boss, “That damn fox must have sold us out, Goki.” The boss, Goki, shrugged his shoulders, caring little, “Doesn't matter. I'll make you a deal, spirit detective.” The boss pointed towards Koichi, “I've never tasted the soul of a spirit detective before. I'll turn myself in nice and neat if I can't rip off your head.”
Eijiro laughed as his boss taunted the intruders, “Yea that's, right.” Eijiro sprinted forward towards Iichi engaging with a punching combo.
Goki smirked as he watched Eijiro jump into combat quickly. “Let's see what you got.” Goki ran towards Koichi. His hulking body lumbered forward towards Koichi. He may not move quickly, but his movement was fluid and the force behind every movement showed the power behind it. His left arm went wide looking for a left hook to Koichi's head.

The two demons had split up, and Koichi new that was also their best strategy. It seemed as if Ichii would have to handle the redhead and he would take on the brute. Before Koichi could finish his thought the towering figure was rambling on about eating his soul before taking the initiative completely with a faster than expecting dash towards the ex-Yakuza, now spirit detective. Goki wasn't slow but Koichi new he still had the edge in speed, and as the giant came in with his left the more slender Koichi ducked low and slid back away out of arms reach.
” You're faster than I thought, but but you're not going to win this fight. ” Koichi spoke confidently, even if he didn't feel the same. He took a quick glance down at his left hand and felt for the reiki energy within him. He was growing more aware of it's presence and with less effort than before the rippling blade of spirit energy was back in hand. ” Alright big fella, lets see how tough you are! ” Koichi said as he moved back in quickly with a jab of the spirit blade at Goki's torso. |

Iichi's eyes widened as he watched the demon come towards him, “Woah, hang on there!” Iichi moved with the demon's combination of punch, his body just barely being able to move out of the way. With each strike, they both seemed to move faster and faster. Iichi kept needing to retreat to dodge the strikes until the pair was towards the end of the warehouse. His eyes continued to clock and watch for a pattern in the demon's attacks until he noticed an opening and struck with his sparking gloves to the chest of the demon.

Eijiro kept up his strikes against Iichi. He blood began to rush as his strikes became quicker and quicker, “Can't run forever, human.” Eijiro seemed to spit the words out as he referred to his target. He could tell his strikes were becoming closer and closer to his target so he kept them up. Moving faster and faster only focusing on the target until….he felt a jolt strike him in the chest. He jumped back a little bit due to surprise as his eyes lifted up to meet Iichi's. A grin began to cover his face as his body began to become harder, and develop cracks in them. His body began to form into points along his hands and hair as he body began to turn into almost rock, “You'll need more than that to hurt my body.” Eijiro jumped forward with a kick towards Iichi's chest.
Goki watched as the spirit detective ducked his punch with his speed. Goki thought little of the spirit detective and wished only to feast on his soul. As he moved for a follow up with his right arm, his eyes caught sight of the energy blade now in Koichi's hand. He moved back in time for the blade to scrap across his abdomen. Blood began to fall slowly from the wound, but Goki didn't seem to acknowledge the pain. He merely laughed with joy. “Not too bad…but not enough.” Five horns began to grow from the top of Goki's head. His finger nails grew into long claws as he seemed to grow almost a foot in height. His muscles bludged till he shirt ripped out and his skin turn red. He looked down on the spirit detective with a laugh, “Wish you pick another career, huh.”

Koichi slid back to a slow halt as his movement carried him through the attack on Goki, his blade cutting but seeming to do only superficial damage. He kept his eyes focused on the demon even though he could hear the movements and talking of Ichii and the red headed one fighting their own fight just behind him. Koichi stayed in a low defensive stance as Goki started his transformation, the horns and size of his body changing, all of which was causing a tingle in the front of his mind, as if he could feel his energy growing.
” You don't look that different, maybe a little uglier. ” Koichi said smugly as he tried to hide his growing worry, knowing that he would again have to go on the offensive.
The ex-yakuza took a quick jab step forward, feigning an outright frontal attack before, with as much quickness and power as he could summon, he leapt up high towards the towering Goki, attempting to being his reiki blade down with both hands right across the creatures head. |

The kick his Ichii square in the chest sending the boy flying backwards. The demon's foot felt like solid right against his body, a dull ache remaining in his chest as his back hit the wall hard. Ichii's body slide to the ground as his right hand touched the ground to keep him from slumping down. Ichii's eyes stared down at the ground, specifically to the blood that had come from his mouth and dropped in front of him. “Human…huh?” Ichii rose his eyes as he stood back on his feet. “Fuckin' baby.” Ichii muttered as he spit a glob of blood onto the ground.
The electricity coming off Ichii's gloves began to glow anew. Ichii ran forward, the electricity seeming to dance along body. He leaned his body down low coming up with a right uppercut to Eijiro's chin.

Eijiro stood with confidence as he watched Ichii go flying across the warehouse. His confidence began to wane as he watched the human rise to his feet, almost unfazed by the blood coming from his body. His jaw dropped open as the electricity began to intensify. Fear began to replace the confidence as he felt the need to call for his boss. His eyes wondered to his boss until blue sparks filled his vision. He attempted to move until he felt a force from below his jaw sending him into the air.
Goki chuckled at Koichi's comment. “Very funny, detective.” Goki watched Koichi intently as he made his offensive. His eyes staying close on his blade. The human meant little to him, but that blade was trouble. Goki took a step back as the feint came in, his right hand reaching out to grab one of the crates stacked beside them. His left forearm went up to intercept the attack. The energy blade would find resistence the deeped in went into the demon's skin. As the blade got close to his bone, Goki brought his right arm around with the crate towards Koichi.

Lightning seemed to spark and dance through the air as Koichi hit the height of his jump before coming down at Goki with maximum force. The sparks dazzling around him were distracting and within and instant he felt the force of the blow from the crate send him flying away from his mark. Koichi hit the ground with force and a bellowing cloud of warehouse dust thrust in the air around them. He caught his breath and leaned up, putting his weight on his right hand which still had the ripple of energy surging in it that was his reiki blade.
” Damn man, you hit pretty hard. ” Koichi said with a cough that brought up a splatter of crimson red on the concrete floor. ” Maybe we should switch?! ” Koichi shouted into the void around him as he staggered to his feet, knowing that was not possible. He was going to have to deal with this one on his own.
Regaining his stance Koichi brought the blade up to his chest grasping in with both hands defensively. His eyes rose slowly to meet Goki's, who stood much taller than he, beaconing him to come at him, drawing him in, hoping for an attack he could side step or repel that would give him and opening to do some real damage. |

Ichii felt a rush as the electricty dance around his body and found a path as he connected with the demon's jaw. Eijiro was lifted off the ground from the force until Ichii's left punch hit his sternum and sent the body across the warehouse. Pain raced up up his arm as he hit the hardened body of the demon. “I'm having too much fun to do that. Plus….Seika wouldn't have wasted his time if you couldn't handle him.” Ichii ended with a smile, though not looking at Koichi to distract him. His eyes remained locked towards where Eijiro's body. The resistance he felt in that last punch told him the demon still had some fight in him.

Eijiro felt as the electricity surged into his body. His body hardened further as the electricity entered keeping it towards the outer edges of his skin. His body flew through the air crashing into wooden crates that burst from underneath him. A loud guttural yell could be heard from the crates as Eijiro emerged from the debris. His body seemed to be now completely made of stone. His teeth were jaggered, his skin rough and cracked, and his red hair stood as if chiseled out of ruby. A pink cat with a label that read “Welcome, Cat.” was pierced on one of his hair points, cotton falling out of the wound. Eijiro grabbed the doll and threw it to the ground. “You're dead!” Eijiro shooted as he rush towards Ichii, his knuckled carved into jaggered points waiting to make contact with the boy.
Goki watched as the crate broke across Koichi causing small pink cat goods fly across the warehouse. Goki paid not mind to the goods that the yakuza used to fund their business. He looked towards left arm and watched as the blood stopped flowing, but the wound was still deep. Even with his belly full with souls, he would need time to heal before he could use the arm again. “Come on, this is just getting fun.” Goki mocked as he walked towards the back of the truck and reach with his right hand, pulling off the bumper of the truck. He moved the make shift club to get a feel for the weapon. Goki dahsed towards Koichi and swinging the weapon horizontally towards Koichi's abdomen.

Koichi could hear the clashes and thuds of the other fight going on, and could only think to Ichii's response that his guy was kinda a lot bigger, but he knew that there would be no switching and that he would have to find a way to take the big guy down on his own. He knew it was probably going to take his Spirit Gun, but he would have to pick the right moment.
” Is this what you do for fun? ” Koichi said in quick response as he watched the rapid movements of the brute, who with ease removed the steel bumper of the truck and with surprising speed for his size came in swinging. Koichi shifted as quick as he could, feeling the air from the bumper swooshing past him as he slide to the side and then with every bit of force he could muster he bull rushed forward off his back legs attempting to take the legs out from under the demon. |
