I'm interested in making a rp, but I work better in a group and am looking for people to help. That would be creation and maintaining, more of a partnership then helpers. The concept's up in the air, I got a few concepts but as a group we can decide. With the rp directory up, sounds like a good time for a full rp.
Concept list:
- .hack: I just started replaying gu and will probably start infection shortly. Seems like a straight forward concept for a rp, just gotta decide time frame
- Digimon: I actually have a 50 – 75% done site for this. It takes place years after season 3 and involves a three way war. I was thinking of taking concepts from all seasons.
- Custom/Espolia: We can make a custom concept or use a universe I made over the last 2 years or so.
- Shaman King: Just started watching this and thought it would be a fun concept.
These are just a few ideas I had and I'm open to suggestions

I'm glad you're finally gonna get started on something. Dunno if you'll find help here on the forums though, so far I've kept this place pretty low key so it's not exactly like there's a lot of people browsing. We gonna figure out what kinda RPG you're gonna want to build and then find you someone to help.

Thats the thing, I'm willing to make any kind of site. I'd rather pick the type with the person helping so they're more interested in the subject. I know a buddy of mine wants to make a digimon site so maybe I can get him to help with that concept. If you know anyone who'd be willing to help, let me know. Most people say they'll help, but when it comes down to it they don't. I'd even be willing to help with someone else's site as well.

I'm doing my own RPG at the moment and juggling some other things, so I wouldn't be able to do the busy work of making pages and such, but I don't mind collaborating in the idea generation process. I used to do that sort of stuff back on MSN Groups, going back and forth on a forum (or other method of communication) to come up with ideas and sort things out. That being said, I'd probably have to know a bit of something about the content to be of some use. Out of those, I'd probably only be able to assist with Digimon and your custom universe, given you explained it to me (and your vision for it).

I'll link to the info in a bit but I decided to do a kingdom hearts rpg. It would be dmed so similar to how the rps here are done now, but hopefully multiple dms. I'm thinking the setting will be that riku defeats sora at the beginning of the game and this allows the heartless to get a strong grip as well as the nobodies so every planet will be ruled by full people (need a name for them) heartless or nobodies. The kh setting allows me to bring in other games and have planets for them. Maybe a dq8 word that allows alchemy, maybe a dark cloud world, and whatever else people think up. People can choose to be an awakened heartless/nobody or human, beast, and whatever else that applies. Someone who will give constructive feedback would be great, making the site itself should be too hard. I got some ideas floating around I'll write them down tonight so you can take a look when you get a chance. Oh yea I'm definitely having a LoD planet.

That's awesome. I'm at work right now but here's some ideas I had, they were written on my phone so kind of simplified but at least something to start with.
Intro thread: so this would be similar to the start of kh1. Basically a tutorial so the dm can ask some questions and get to know the character. They'll recieve a starting weapon and get a hang of the battle system. A dm starts this and when it over the player will start their dmed thread.
Level up system: I had this concept on ff//LoD where every 5 levels you get a new level up archetype and they add up to old ones for more stats. I wanted to transfer that here so I was thinking every 5 levels you get a base add-on plus a bonus, sword wand or shield, and a reduction, same system as bonus. The player would decide their bonus and restriction in the intro thread.
Gummi ship: everyone starts with one but idk what imma do with it outside that.
Keyblade: I see these as being for the pure. Whether that's good, evil, or one objective (neutral). It's not a starter but must be proven in rp then rewarded.
Beta: To make sure I can get people I was gonna have a beta on the rp boards with minimal info before making a full site. Beta will take place around the time sora is defeated the normal site a few years after

I don't know if you want to make all your ideas right out in the open like that. I mean, I don't think anyone will still them, obviously, but it still feels that out of place. That being said, how wide of an audience are you looking to play this thing out? Just a handful or do you want it to be more of an open thing?

I don't think we have to worry about people stealing ideas to make RPGs these days. Who else is actually making a RPG that you know besides like the few of us posting here? lmao. I think we can freely discuss things and now worry about it, hell someone might read it and want to be part of it.

The number of members I'm looking for depends on how many DMs I get. I'll have to see where I'm at when its complete to know how many threads I could take. If its just me, I'd group up members that could be grouped up. I'd like to have maybe 3 to 5 DMs.
I know what you mean now, Fevian. This doesn't seem like a forum for specific content planning. Dys doesn't seem to mind, but we could switch to my storage site if you like

Here's a link to the DBZES forum if anyone is interested. The skin isn't finished yet, we've been editing it all day (started with a stock theme), and should pretty much finish it up tomorrow. I'm really happy with it.

I had a bunch of different names, but the ones I used the longest were Ijin and some form of a (first name) Lydeck. I think I used Kaguya Lydeck a lot … maybe Jyakku too.
There was Shadow and Nythyia who also used the surname Lydeck, and we usually RP'd as brothers. Shadow was the original Lydeck, and – well, that's going back a while. I was mostly Ijin.

I have always been Griff, in one shape or another. I think griffinator## was my name forever, but still went by Griff. I was one create sites, though, RF, Fortress.
