The art looks pretty good, I dunno much about the game beyond what I read on a joystiq post. Who's developing it?

Ubisoft. Apparently, it's the guy who directed Farcry 3. I've watched some interviews, and he cites FF6, CT, and Grandia 2 as his inspiration for this game.

Ubisoft, interesting since they aren't really known for RPGs. I can see the Grandia style in visuals, I'll have to see more about it as it pertains to FF6 and CT, I don't want to be quick to lump it in with two of the (the two?) greatest RPGs ever.

They're definitely the greatest if you ask me. There's a pretty elaborate interview about the battle system being based on 'JRPGs' (Grandia 2 in this case). Side note, Amano also did some promotional artwork for the game too!

It definitely looks interesting, I'll probably give it a try on the PS3 at some point. Having watched the video I don't really pick up on the CT/FF6 side of things, perhaps it's more with the mood and atmosphere than the actual gameplay.
