Is anyone else going to pick it up?
I got it on release day, and I'm been splitting time between it and Path of Exile (anyone who loved Diablo 2 needs to go check that game out).
Anyway, this game really takes me back to the good ol' PS1 days of JRPGs. I'm not sure how to explain it, but it just has that charm that JRPGs have been seriously lacking for the longest time. It has beautiful graphics, a gorgeous world (including a world map that's gorgeous! imagine that, square!), a really fun combat system, and an itriguing world filled with interesting characters and some great voice acting.
Having a ton of fun with it right now!

I've downloaded it, waiting for a patch so I can play it. (I don't want to update my PS3's cfw to the latest because I have a ton of older PS1 and PSN games signed for 3.55 that I would have to resign for the new cfw.. to much work since I don't have the .pkg files for all of them anymore) SO for now I wait. I know Griff bought it though.

Oh, I love this game. I feel like I'm in a universe like Spirited Away, probably my favorite movie, or Howler's Moving Castle. I'm really loving this artwork. It's so good I'm actually spending time doing the side quests for merit stamps and I almost never do the side stuff. The battle system I'm still kind of iffy on, but haven't got that far to fully experience it so I'm just going with it for now. I LOVE the wizard's compendium, such a cool concept. I'll get around to reading it all eventually.

If it wouldn't be such a pain in the ass I would have upgraded my PS3 to play this. I figure it's easier to just wait for a fix than have to resign 40-50 things, some of which I would have to re-DL to get the original install files back. Once it gets patched I'm going to be all over this game though, I've been waiting for it for like over a year.

I couldn't care less about reviews in general (they aren't going to stop me otherwise), but it's received mixed reviews all-around from what I've read.

I've started it finally and I'm really into it, like I knew I would be. It's like all the best part about previous level 5 games rolled into one.
