I was a huge fan of this game on Gamecube and am siked to see it being remastered and the sequel, I think. This is one of the few games outside FF with summoning, and even though its hard to use and I don't think I ever used it, I still like that its there. Anyone else a fan of this game?

I'm not a fan of this specific game persay since I've never played it before, but I'm a HUGE fan of the “Tales of” series.

I just got this game today and played for about an hour. Even in HD it feels dated, but I'm going to keep on trucking through it because I've heard great things about the story.

I have ToS on the Gamecube and it's alright, I mean out of the RPGs on the GC it is one of the best. That being said, there aren't a whole lot of great RPGs on the ole Gamecube so that isn't exactly saying something. As for the Tales series as a whole I never got into most of them, I did like Destiny on the PS1 but aside from that, eh.

I just got it and I gotta agree with lydeck. It's definately better than when on the GC, but nothing crazy about the change. Its takes a while for the storyline if I remember correctly, but I'm looking forward to the sequel. Its seems much different, with monster capturing. I really love the skits and theres one at the beginning that pointed out some big flaws in angels. 1. Must be hard for them to change shirts (I can't think of a way for it to be done). 2. They'd have to cut holes in their shirt (Pretty big holes since it would have to be big enough for the widest part of the wing). 3. Must be hard for them to sleep (Seems you'd be forced on your belly which I just can't do). That one skit had me laughing for a while cause its got some good points.

It did take an exceptionally long time to get rolling story wise… as a matter of fact most Tales games are like that.

Not sure if you've already played it, but I highly suggest both Vesperia (X360) and Xillia (PS3) if you get the opportunity to play them. Fantastic games (much much much better than Symphonia so far, imo).

I haven't played Vesperia (as I lack a 360) however I did DL Xillia I just never have gotten around to playing it, to many other games on my backlist lol. I also believe I DL'd another one for the PS3 as well.

I've played Vesperia, didn't get too far I think, but they have the greatest character concept EVER. They have a blue dog that smokes a pipe and fights with a sword. Can it get any better?

Symphonia gets really good. Where are you? I'm only two hours in, gonna play some more tonight, so not too far, but I've beaten in before. I've always enjoyed Tales fighting though. Tbh, I'm not very good at it, but I get through. Just push through if you wanna see it get good. Kratos is an awesome character by the way. The one thing I don't like is when I'm playing the game again I see all the hints and its really obvious.

I just got past the Fire Temple. Obviously not far into Symphonia.

I ended up stopping it for now because I got Tales of the Abyss for 3DS. Having a much more fun time playing it so far, and even though the main character is a total douchebag right now, the rest of the game and cast is really fun and I'm assuming the MC will “grow up” throughout the game lol.

I could not get far in that one. I only put maybe a few hours before I returned it. One big hindering factor for new players for ToS is its slow build up. Second play through isn't so bad as you get what they mean when they hint at stuff, which happens a lot more than I remembered. I surprisingly good 3ds game is the Final Fantasy music game. It's kind of like a tap tap revolution, but with a lot more to it and got good reviews. If interested, I can give you more details.

I agree. I've looked at my iphone options and its pretty pricy. I got the music game used for 25 which wasn't bad. Figured I'd try it to and return if it was bad, but its really good and really challenging.

Most of their android titles are like $15 or $20 which is more than I'm willing to pay for a game on my phone. Considering I have an SNES emulator it's much easier to just stick your FFVI or Chrono Trigger ROM on there and play it that way on the go. Of course you can pirate on android pretty easy as well, so that's always an option lol.

Ironically, they'd probably make more money if they made the games less expensive. It is all digital so I really don't see a reason for prices having to be that high. Are there any prices involved once the games been coded to the phone? Do apple or google get a %?

So I've been getting back into this game pretty much whenever I get a chance and unfortunately its not till about 12 hours (with 30 mins of grinding) that the story starts to get good. But, didn't notice this my first time through, you get a character whos lvl 2 personal ex skill is when he talks to women they give him items. It says its not all the time, but I've always gotten items or gald and I've been doing it alot. Basically, he flirts with them and they give you items, even if they deny him. The only time he doesn't flirt with them is when they're elderly, but that doesn't stop him from little girls, wonder if any of their name's are Lolita. The lines are really cheesy, but the back and forth is pretty funny. I rarely use him, but stick him as party display and enjoy the free stuff, its really useful.

The main reason I got it was for the sequel. I'm rly looking forward to X HD, got it preordered for the art book that comes with it. The sequel is new people, but you meet up with the old cast and also has a monster catching system. Seems interesting once I beat ToS I'll move to that.

I'll likely download it for now, buy it sometime used down the road on Ebay or something. I've been wanting to get the KH 1.5 HD Remix as well.

Bought it, started the movie for 365/2 days and never touched it again. I beat 1 and CoM too close to its release so haven't been really interested. The art book is lacking as well

I haven't played KH at all since like 2006 so I've been wanting to do a replay and I'd like to do it with the HD release. Not interested in the artbook or anything like that since you can find all that online already. I'll likely pick up a copy (I had issues with the 20gb downloaded copy, some HD re-releases don't play well in pirated form due to their disc structure)
