I don't listen to a lot of music, so here's my one favorite band.

Angels and Airwaves: The leader singer is Tom Delonge (Blink-182). He writes all of the songs, along with his band mates as well sometimes. His writing to me is just simply amazing. It's not filled with a bunch of profanity or songs about girls, cars, drugs, money, etc. Instead his songs have a lot of meaning and of course he does a great job portraying this when he sings.

In general, my musical tastes are moreso decided on the lyrics and message the band is trying to get across than the sound of the music. I can't stand most rap for that one reason as it's mostly about the same thing. (Note, that I did some most rap and not all.)

I have a very varied taste in music (as a musician). It would be hard for me to actually list an write about half of the bands I consider my favorite because it would take me a week to do so, however if I keep it simple and restrict myself to my absoluta favs…

The Smashing Pumpkins ~ The most talented alternative band both lyrically and musically.
Led Zeppelin ~ The definitive rock back.
The Beatles and by association George Harrison, John Lennon & Paul McCartney ~ What can I say that hasn't been said?
Bob Dylan ~ The greatest songwriter of all time.
The Kinks ~ Right there with the Beatles, sadly they never caught on here in America the way the Beatles did.
The Clash ~ The only band that matters.
Pink Floyd ~ Between 1968-1980 they did things nobody else could have imagined.
Buddy Guy ~ The worlds greatest living Guitar player, king of the Blues.
Cream, Derek & the Dominos, Clapton ~ Anything where Eric Clapton plays guitar.

Great bands. I would definitely have to put The Beatles and Pink Floyd in my favorites categories. I am also a big fan of Led Zeppelin and The Smashing Pumpkins.

I like so much music though, I mean it's hard just to list those. If I had to break down some genres…

Blues ~
Buddy Guy, Anything Clapton, Robert Johnson, etc (you could put Zeppelin in here as well)

Punk ~
The Clash, The Dead Kennedys, Agent Orange, The Sex Pistols, The Ramones, Black Flag, The Misfits, and so on.

Funk ~
Funkadelic & Parliment obviously, Sly & The Family Stone, Eddie Hazel, The Ohio Players

Soul ~
The Delfonics, The Spinners, Al Green, Otis Redding, and so on.

I mean, this is just me getting started… lmfao.

I just can't get into music that much. I was in to it a lot more back around the Groups era. Mainly because I listened to it while I rped and browsed around. Now I'm always playing video games or outside playing sports and stuff that I never really have time to listen to music. My commute to work is so short that I just listen to ESPN Radio to and from.

I actually just listen to music, like I don't do anything while I listen. I put on an album and just listen.
