Post Jedi Code of Conduct
on: July 23, 2013, 08:44

Here are some things that I want people to keep in mind while they play as a Jedi.

.
1. Jedi outside of Kashyyyk do not have any more authority than the average citizen and therefor are subject to the same laws, restrictions and boundaries that everyone else have to follow. Within our lands we may detain criminals, etc, but just because we are Jedi does not give us the right to act ill-mannered. This means if you get caught breaking a law you can be arrested, put in jail, etc, but also means that once you return to the temple you will also be subject to punishment as well. So, tread carefully.

.
2. Jedi of teaching rank are allowed up to a maximum of three students, this includes mentoring. Special circumstances can be made if need be, but you have to ask the Jedi Council, this is to keep people from getting too overwhelmed. Jedi Masters may take more if they feel up to it, but you know your limits and know when you are getting in over your head, there is no shame in saying no.

.
3. Jedi are guides, keepers of balance and observers, not instigators. Just because you see a Sith walking across the road does not mean you have a free pass to preemptively stand in their path because you think they will start trouble. Likewise if you see someone stealing you probably would be better off contacting proper authorities, unless you can persuade the individual into making a different choice. One's actions have consequences and to act might cause more trouble than should be caused.

If a Sith is cloaking their aura, even if you are a Master, this does not mean you immediately know what they are,
unless they use powers that are blatant ie: like using their powers to blast something to bits, but not if they mind-speak another, unless they mind-speak you then you might 'feel' something eerie about the 'flavor' of their mind-voice. Jedi are not omniscient and godlike, we can be fooled, tricked and any other manner of things that everyone else can be, its just a tad harder to pull the wool over our eyes.
