The Jedi Order has a long illustrious history of serving as advisors, but also as defenders from Dark forces. The Light when Darkness spreads it’s shadow. The move to Kashyyyk came about first because the Wookiees, the Jedi’s long time allies because of Jedi Master Yoda, needed help combating a sickness. With their help it was fought off and the Jedi were given some territory of their own. The result of this move also allowed the Jedi to become self-sufficient and allowed them to flourish, discovering many new things of use that hadn’t been discovered.

Places of interest:
Light’s Landing, a small city and trading post for the Jedi Order. This city started out as an outpost for the Jedi when they first colonized the land they were given. The massive trees provided ample wood and ideal places to build temporary homes. After a better location for the Temple itself was found, it slowly grew into a full blown city as children who had no Gifts took to the location to not only help their family who lived in the Order, but to also live nearby. The main attraction is the marketplace, it is here that all sorts of good are sold and shipped from to the temple.

Halfway Inn, the name an intentional pun for Light’s Landing is the first half of the journey to the temple itself and is frequented by those seeking the Order. The current owner is a man named Mathias Keen is a tall, thin, short brown haired man with a jovial nature, but isn’t afraid to get into the thick of a fight and heave the offenders out the door. Bloom’s Tavern is another place within Light’s Landing that is popular, a bit rowdy in atmosphere, this place’s owner is named Jacob Bloom is current generations owner. A big burly man, with very short blond hair, with a keen eye for mischief and an even keener ear for gossip. He is more than happy to chat with someone, as long as they are a paying customer.

Light’s Hope Temple lays cross the bay, out of sight is the heart of the current Jedi Order. Similar to Light’s Landing in that it is built on the trees and ground, except even the upper boughs are built upon. The main tree in the center of the complex houses the main hub for the temple. In the highest reaches, in the center of the cradle of massive branches is a scooped circle that houses the Hall of echoes. It is here that the Jedi of all ranks gather to hear important details, witness those that have distinguished themselves and pay their last respects.

The Seat of Knowledge is the massive library that is housed in its own tree. It is here that the histories and other works are housed, along with all sorts of artifacts and a host of other things that have either been made, discovered, acquired and otherwise owned for the good of the Order. Seeker’s Hope is the outside training area housed in the upper reaches of a nearby tree, connected by a bridge of touching branches next to the Hall of Echoes. One doesn’t need to pass through the auditorium to reach it, there are stairs that lead from the living areas below the training grounds to it, but one can also get to it from the Hall of Echoes.

Light’s Rest is the name given to the living spaces that are built inside and outside the tree below the training area. They more commonly hold the Jedi trainees, up to Knight rank and more  comfortable living quarters are housed on and in a separate, but nearby tree. These two trees make up the bulk of the living quarters for those living in the temple itself. Around the base and suspended between the trees all over the temple area are gardens and rest areas that provide places to rest and gather, but also the medicines used within.

Arkhol’s Run located on the plains north of the temple, is the main source of meat, produce and other necessities tended for both Light’s Landing and the temple. What herbs that are not grown at the temple, plus fruit, animals, textiles and such are grown here. Those goods are then taken to the city and temple for use. It is also a place of learning for those who wish to learn to take care of these many things or just want to help out.
