It is the year 500ABY, the Republic defeated the Galactic Empire more than three hundred and sixty two years ago and a new age of prosperity came into being changing them from two separate factions to the Alliance of Free Planets, becoming one whole at long last. Over time the galaxy settled in to a new rhythm as the peoples throughout got used to the new peace. The Jedi eventually settled on the planet Kashyyyk, the home of the Wookiees, building their home and releasing their ties to the Alliance to become self-sustaining so that they would not need to have outside government aid. The furred beings that called the planet home were more than willing to accept the Jedi for new trade, aid and mutual protection from harm. While the Jedi would not aid in tribal war, unless it was through non-violent means, they would help should an outside force seek to cause harm, this was to keep the balance as much as possible. The Jedi also made their territory open for trade, providing those who sought them followed their regulations.
The Alliance complied with these terms and the planet was considered off-limits for development. The change to a neutral faction brought about change for the Alliance as many had been used to having semi-control over the Jedi. However their main goal had always been neutral, the balance of the galaxy must always stay equal and thus stepping away made sure others could not pressure them for their own means. The Jedi would however still aid in negotiations, through healing and even trade, but unless the Alliance faced an enemy that they could not fight through non-powered means they would not fight. The Sith Empire took to the shadows changing their tactics. Unknown to the rest of the galaxy the Zekwryn Corporation became the public front for the Sith Empire, through trade, politics and wealth the Sith move as a shadow through the galaxy, the Jedi are unaware of their movements and the Sith hope to keep everyone in the dark. As a whole the Alliance ruled the galaxy, trade routes had protection, new technology was developed and exploration was looked upon with higher favor.
A new sense of creativity and peace was given that the past had not had for some time. While there were those that said they were growing complacent, eyes were still watchful lest a new enemy spring from the shadows.
The peace seems to be holding…
