ABILITIES INTRODUCTION
Abilities are what define your character and make them unique, representing your life experience. Here on Biohazard your character’s abilities will represent everything that your character is as well as what they were before they were thrust into the chaos that is now present. Your abilities are split into two different classes, basic abilities which every character begins equipped with, though at different levels of mastery, and advanced abilities which must have been taught or learned specifically. These two types of abilities will be used and maintained differently in RP, for more on that please continue reading. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BASIC ABILITIES EXPLAINED
Basic abilities are simple things that all characters understand how to do, but do at different degrees of mastery. All characters start out being able to perform all of the basic abilities, and based on their characters previous life experience they will start with different ranks in each. Unlike advanced abilities, basic abilities tend to always use dice roll checks to see how well the ability is pulled off. For example A character attempts to jump across a large gap, for which the dungeon master has placed a dice check (DC) of 15 on. That character will roll a d20 adding however many ranks in the jump ability they have to their roll, if it ties or eclipses 15 they succeed, if not they fall. Many of the basic abilities can be used in several ways, for completely information please continue to the ( basic abilities ) listing.

ADVANCED ABILITIES
Unlike basic abilities, advanced abilities must have been taught or learned in order to perform them. Many of these abilities will have very specific outcomes that don’t always require dice checks. Advanced abilities will also not follow the rank system that basic abilities do, instead most of these abilities will have several levels of mastery that require a certain amount of ability points (AP) to achieve. AP will be rewarded by the DM every time an advanced ability is used, allowing players to level up there characters abilities based directly on use, however AP will vary based on DM preference to how said abilities were used in the context of the RP. For more continue to the ( advanced abilities ) listing.

CREATING CUSTOM ABILITIES
At times you may come up with abilities of your own that you wish to be added to the listings here on Biohazard, which is completely allowed and encouraged. There isn’t a defined system for this here, so as to promote creativity in creating abilities and ability tiers. If you wish to work on some custom abilities just post your ideas on the ( abilities board ) and the DM will work with you to iron out all the system details and get the abilities added to the Biohazard abilities listing.
