JUMP INTRODUCTION
Your character can use the jump ability to leap over low objects, vault over low fences, or to leap between two points separated by some sort of gap. All placers have a minimum distance they can jump without much effort, which depends on the type of jump they are attempting. When attempting to jump farther then the minimum distance a dice check is used, with the additional distance determined by the amount that dice check exceeded 10. Players will also have a maximum distance they can jump, which is based on the height of the character and the type of jump. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Below is a table with some examples of different types of jumps you can attempt, also with all relevant information for that type of jump, including minimum and maximum distances. Beforehand it should also be noted that to attempt a running jump you must run at least 20 feet first. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

ADVANCED USES
All jumping distances count against your maximum distance moved per round, so for example if you can only move 25 feet per round, and you walk 20 of that and then jump 5 then you can no longer move. You can also use the jump skill to take less damage then falling when jumping from an extended height. the basic formula for this is the fall is calculated as 10 feet shorter then it actually is due to readiness for the impact (1d6 less then it usually would be). |
