SUB-MACHINE GUN INTRODUCTION
The Sub-Machine gun, or SMG for short is a interesting class of firearm, one that takes the firing speed of an assault rifle but does so at a reduced size by using pistol ammunition. Though aspects like muzzle velocity and overall force and range are greatly reduced the SMG clearly posses clear advantages in weight, size, and reduced recoil that make them a very valuable weapon class. (note: like with all firearms, the stars located to the right of the weapons name represent it’s overall rarity.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
HECKLER & KOCH MP5 ****
First introduced in the late 1960s for the German military the MP5 has gained a great deal of support over the past three decades, quickly becoming one of the most used sun-machines by militaries and police agencies world wide. The MP5 has been noted for featuring great accuracy and it’s relatively simple ease of use.

THOMPSON SUB-MACHINE GUN ***
Perhaps the most iconic sub-machine gun ever, at least in America, the Thompson SMG or Tommy Gun is famed for it’s favorability by mobsters such as Al Capone in the 1930s. Though it’s a little on the heavy side it’s amazing rate of fire paired with the fact it fires .45 rounds rather then the more common 9mm has contributed to it’s popularity.

UZI **
First designed and manufactured in the late 1940s by the Israeli Military, the Uzi SMG has in the half century since then become one of the most common SMGs world wide. Due to it’s relatively cheap price and availability it has been adopted heavily by street gangs and other criminal organizations in the past decade as a weapon of choice.

MP40 ****
Though it’s availability in the United States is fairly limited, mostly brought back as relics from World War II, the MP40 is still a very usable sub-machine gun. Produced by the Germans as a equalizer to the increasingly powerful sub-machine guns used by the allied powers in second great war, it’s since become a major collectors item.

AMERICAN-180 *****
Noted especially for it’s unique magazine, using a pan magazine which like a drum stores a large number or rounds, but unlike a drum is mounted perpendicular to the axis of rotation, the American-180 is a very rare weapon, only produced for a few years and never really accepted as a viable weapon of war, though it’s rate of fire says otherwise.
