SHOTGUNS EXPLAINED
A Shotgun, like rifle, is a large firearm usually meant to be fired from the shoulder. Where the shotgun and the rifle differ is in the ammunition used, where a rifle uses a more standard design bullet a shotgun uses a shell full of small metal pellets or a slug. Shotguns are fairly common, especially in the American North West where they are a favored hunting weapon and have also been standard issue to police and military. Shotguns feature one key difference in damage formulation that normal handguns and rifles do not, when using shot and not a slug the distance between you and the target matters greatly in the amount of damage dealt. The standard formula for this is minus 1/2 the damage multiplier for every 20 feet.  WINCHESTER MODEL 1897 ***
One of the most historically famous shotguns of all time, the model 1897 has seen action in American combat operations for the better part of a century. Noted for a smooth pump action delivery system and a 5 round tubular magazine it’s also become a favorite among police and other law enforcement agencies.

 WINCHESTER MODEL 1901 ****
Though only produced for about 20 years, the Winchester Model 1901 is famed as perhaps the best lever action shotgun the Winchester Arms Company ever produced. Cherished by collectors due to it’s use guarding stage coaches it has continued to remain popular to this day, and is fairly common to see.

 WINCHESTER MODEL 1912 **
Perhaps the most famous of Winchesters many shotguns, the Model 1912 was at the time of it’s creator dubbed the ‘perfect’ shotgun. Featuring both 12 and 16 gauge models, a hammerless pump action design, and a 5 round tubular magazine, many would still attest that this is the perfect weapon.

 SPAS-12 COMBAT SHOTGUN *****
Though gas operated shotguns (for means of chambering a new round) have been around for a century, it’s only been recently that they have reached their true potential. The SPAS-12, perhaps the most fearsome combat shotgun can function as a semi-automatic shotgun, or operated via pump action, though one thing can be sure, nobody wants to be on the receiving end of what this weapon has to offer.
