ITEMS INTRODUCTION
Items represent any usable thing or piece of equipment your characters come across and can interact with on Biohazard. Items will be a very important part of how you experience this RPG as you will be able to pick up and use most anything around you any way you can conceive. Combat items (weapon, armor, etc) will be give hit points just like your characters and will break after a certain amount of use, while other items may be used in conjunction with skills or on their own to serve a specific RPing purpose. Because Biohazard is DM’d you will be free to attempt to use items in many ways, often requiring a dice check to see if your attempt was successful, because of this open nature there many times will be no set rules on items, so be creative and perhaps you will find great ways to use items. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
USING ITEMS
Using an item is generally a partial action, meaning you can generally move as well as use an item (including using items to attack with). In some instances item use may require a full round to achieve the desired effect, this will be up to the DM to decide, so if you have questions about specific item use, run it by the DM and he will give you a definitive answer on if your item can be used that way, and if so what type of action it is. However, most items will detail their stats and whether they are a partial or full round action in their description to alleviate confusion.

CARRYING ITEMS
In the real world, a person can only carry so much with them at one time, and that is true here on Biohazard as well. Based on your characters strength you will be able to determine how much your character can carry and how much stamina loss they incur for doing so. For more information on this please visit the ( Strength Chart ), it should be noted that any weight below the start of a light load incurs no stamina loss. Your characters will also have the ability to leave items and return for them if they do not wish to carry them everywhere.

TRADING ITEMS
Currency has become pretty much worthless in Ulysses Oregon since the contamination and rising of the dead. However items do still incur some worth, based on how useful they are. Your characters at times may come in contact with other survivors who wish to trade items they don’t need for items you don’t need in an attempt to better themselves for the long haul. It’s a barter system, so remember to haggle, perhaps they need something you have more then they let on and will part with more then it’s worth, supply and demand in action.

FINDING ITEMS
The task of actually finding items will be up to your characters, make sure to thoroughly check all the areas you move through, you never know what you might come across. The DM will randomly place items in each area before the characters enter it, based on the type of location it is. If you need something, the best possible thing you can do is go to where you would logically find such an item and chances are it will be there somewhere. It should be noted that conservation of items that are important to survival should be a must, there is no guarantee that you will come across needed items again, so make sure not to waste. |
