Chapter 3: Friction

The gunfire was sporadic in the distance, the sounds climbing up from the streets below to the rooftops where Jonas and Gil made haste towards the tallest structure in Dollet proper, the Dollet Hotel. Ahead Jonas spied a chimney that would provide good enough cover to stop and get a good view of what was happening in the square.
” Lets stop here. ” Jonas said with a quick look back at Gil who was followed close behind. ” They definitely have a presence in the square down their. ” Jonas continued as he pointed down to the large cobblestone paved square that was circled wide by shops on either side that conversed on a triangular building that was the Dollet Hotel. In the square below Galbadian soldiers were positioned behind blockades from the two western streets that led into the square, apparently waiting for SeeD to arrived. Jonas turned his focus up towards the towering hotel where he saw movement from one of the high balconies. ” They've got this place guarded pretty well, we probably need to do something about this before continuing on. ” Jonas said as he tried to stay out of sight, hoping Gil would have an idea on what to do. |
