FFVII FORTRESS BESTIARY
The world of Final Fantasy Vii Fortress is filled with beasts that inhabit both city and rural areas of the planet, because of this it becomes very normal to encounter beasts which can lead to combat if desired. Beast combat, being something so common it is the best way to train your characters and help them progress in our level/stat system, we will use this main page of the bestiary section to detail the different types of beast combat and the systems that run that combat, enjoy.

THE TWO TYPES OF COMBAT
Here on FFvii Fortress we support two basic types of beast combat, the first and most simple type is the basic RP based combat, which is strictly word based, and much safer, as it doesn’t use our stat system to govern it. The second type of beast combat is the full on stat based combat that is governed by our full stat system here on Fortress. The type of combat you choose to use when battling beasts is obviously up to your choice, but it should be noted that while RP based battles do reward the same EXP, Gil, and AP they do NOT! reward items, where the Stat system does.

SETTING UP YOUR BATTLE
Setting up your beast battle is the first thing that you will have to do when you have decided on training. There is a process to this that we like you to use that is pretty simple. Please name your beast thread in the following manner detailed right below this paragraph, and remember that you are required to make the first post of your beast battle the beasts FULL stat bio, weather your fighting in the RP system or the Stat system, followed by your Bio in the same, or next post, then and only then can you start your battle. This is required to make updating less of a chore.

STAT BASED COMBAT
Stat based combat is by far the most in depth way to battle beasts on FFvii Fortress. This type of combat is fully governed by our stat system which is detailed in the guidelines of the site [ link ]. Stat combat can be a little confusing at first but by looking over our sample stat based combat thread, as well as out detailed breakdown of how to read the bestiary bios you shouldn’t have any trouble learning the system. Below are the detailed rules on how to battle within our stat system, if you have any questions feel free to direct them to our questions board. [ link ]

MONSTER CONTROL
In our stat based system you will be required to RP your character (minimum of 100 words per post) as well as post the information for the beasts attacks. Starting combat isn’t unlike starting normal combat, where the beast/character with the highest DEX will go first followed by the second highest and so on. You will be required to randomize the attacks of the beast(s) that your controlling, to do this you will need to roll a dice with the number of sides equal too the total number of the beasts attacks. Rolling the dice is easy, all you need to do is enter our chat and use the command !roll# and our script will return the number you rolled, then you will post for the beast the corrisponding attack. (note you DO NOT have to RP the beasts actions in the beast(s) post, you may do all the RPing for you and the beast(s) in your character’s IC post.)

THE BATTLE IS OVER
Once you have defeated all of the beasts in combat, or they have defeated you, the battle is over. After you have finished the battle make sure to request an update from one of our updaters, posting a link to your battle, the victor, the rewards (if any) and a link to your bio and then the updater will get right on to doing your update. The updater will also be responsible for finding out if the beasts dropped any items at the end of combat for your character to gain possession of.
›  [ please remember ]: you divide your beast exp, and gil with your party members. AP is the same for all.

RP BASED BEAST BATTLES
Now that I have detailed how to do a stat based beast battle I will explain how to do a RP based battle. These battles as stated above have nothing to do with the site’s stat system and are completely word based. All you have to do here, is post a 100 word post to defeat each beast in combat, however as stated above you will not receive any items after combat this way, and you can also not perform such commands, like steal which can only be used in stat based battled. However there are a few things you need to remember when it comes to these battles, which are listed below.

THINGS TO REMEMBER
›  You can only fight five beasts every 24 hours, managers and updaters will check to make sure you are doing this.
In the RP system you cannot battle a beast who’s 6 stats combined are more then your 6 stats combined
›  HP and MP do not count in the combined stats to see if you can fight a beast in a non-stat based battle.
›  You do add the Attack and Defense bonus’ from your equipment to the total of your 6 stats to do a non-stat battle.
›  if a beast is 10 lvls higher then your character, gains are reduced by 50%, if a beast is 20 levels higher you can’t fight it.
›  when you fight with multiple people, rewards are added up and divided between your party members and yourself.
