INTRODUCTION TO CHOCOBOS
For many thousands of years before the present, in the time before vast technology, the inhabitants of the planet used the large flightless bird known as the chocobo as their main transportation from place to place. Now that the world has progressed so far, the chocobo is not thought of as it once was, but there are still many devoted trainers and breeders to these great animals that use them as show, or for one of the worlds more popular sports, chocobo racing.

THE DIFFERENT SPECIES OF CHOCOBOS
The world is a big place, and like with most species of animals, planets, etc there are different known types of chocobos, they are classed into five main groups, based on color. Each color chocobo has very specific abilities that it has that the other types of chocobos do not, so pay attention.

›  [ yellow chocobo ]: the yellow chocobo is the basic, and most common sub-species of the bird. these chocobos can be
      found all over the planet and caught with a lure, and some greens.
›  [ green chocobo ]: the green chocobo is famous for its unique climbing abilities, which allow the chocobo to cross tall
      mountail ranges. you can acquire a green chocobo by breeding a great female (class b) and a good male (class b).
›  [ blue chocobo ]: known for its ability to swim better then normal chocobos, the blue chocobo can cross rivers. to get
      a blue chocobo you must breed a great female (class b) with a great male (class b).
›  [ black chocobo ]: the black chocobo is well known for its rarity, as well as the fact it can cross both mountain and
      river. to obtain a black chocobo you must breed a green (class a) chocobo with a blue (class a) chocobo.
›  [ gold chocobo ]: the most rare of all chocobo, the gold chocobo can cross mountain, river, and ocean, and effectively go
      anywhere. to acquire one you must breed a black chocobo (class s) with a wonderful yellow chocobo (class s)

CHOCOBO TYPES
there are many different species of chocobo located on the planet, and along those lines there are also different types of chocobo, based more on their original place of capture. below these types are explained in more detail.

›  [ weak chocobo ]: the weakest statistical form of chocobo, these birds are slow and not great for much. they can be
      caught near the chocobo farm and icicle inn. to catch one you will need a lure, greens, and 150 word post.
›  [ poor chocobo ]: not quite as bad as the weak chocobo, the poor is still a long shot from being good at much. you can
      catch them at the chocobo ranch, and near junon. you will need the lure, greens, and 200 word post.
›  [ mediocre chocobo ]: slightly below average, these are ‘ok’ chocobos. these birds can be found in the rocket town
      area, and as always you will need a lure, some greens, and a 250 word post.
›  [ average chocobo ]: average in all areas, the chocobos are very common. the average chocobo can be found in the
      gold saucer and wutai areas. you will need a chocobo lure, some greens, and a 350 word post.
›  [ fair chocobo ]: slightly better then the average chocobos, and that much more rare as well. you can find a fair bird
      in the junon, wutai, and mideel regions, provided you have a lure, some greens, and do a 450 word post.
›  [ good chocobo ]: good chocobos are rare and many times are the low class racers. Good chocobos can be found in the
      gold saucer region of the world, if you have a lure, some greens, and do a 500 word post.
›  [ great chocobo ]: great chocobos are always racers, and are highly sought after in the racing leagues. you can catch a
      great chocobo in the mideel region. you will need a lure, some greens, and to do a 700 word post.
›  [ wonderful chocobo ]: the best wild chocobos that can be caught, these are very very rare and not seen often. you can
      acquire a wonderful chocobo only in the icicle inn region, you will nee a lure, some greens, and a 900 word post.

CATCHING A CHOCOBO
Catching chocobos is a fairly simple thing to do here on ffvii fortress. You will need a few things before you can start though, those being a chocobo lure (which you can by at the chocobo farm for 2,000 gil), some greens (which can also be bought at the farm) and then you will have to complete a required RP. Above you will see the different types of wild chocobos that you can catch, and where they can be caught. All you have to do is post a simple RP in that area stating how you caught the chocobo then request an update like normal.

CHOCOBO STABLES EXPLAINED
One character at any time can own a single chocobo without having a stable, however you you plan on catching more then one and attempting to breed the chocobo you will have to buy some stables at the chocobo farm. Stables cost 10,000 gil each, and each character can own no more then six stables.

BREEDING CHOCOBOS
If you ever wish to own a truly superior chocobo, breeding is the only way to go as all of the wonderful sub-species of the bird can only be obtained through breeding. Listed above, with the different sub-species are the required chocobos to breed that kind of chocobo. Once you have caught those chocobos, and raced them enough to gain b, a, or s class you can breed them, but you will also need a ‘nut’, which can be obtained by defeating certain beasts. Once you have everything you need, you will be able to breed the two chocobo. It will take exactly 96 hours before your new chocobo is born, and another 48 before it has matured enough for you to breed it again, race it etc.
