ROLEPLAYING EXPLAINED
It goes without saying that Role-playing is the most important thing that anyone can do on a RPG. So we have created the role-playing guidelines to make sure that everyone from a seasoned role-player to someone that may be new to forum based role-playing knows exactly what role-playing is and how it is preformed on FFvii Fortress. If you have RP’d before then everything should be pretty normal to you, but you should still read over some of the guidelines below just in case.

THE BASIC RULES TO REMEMBER
› [ don't spam rp ]: a lot of RPGs these days want you to post just 10-20 words per post when role-playing on their sites,
    however we expect every post on FFvii Fortress to be at least 100 words unless otherwise stated.
›  [ one character limit ]: you can only RP one character here, if you are caught RPing more, you will be banned.
› [ don't power game ]: power gaming is defined as when a RPer does things in character that his character would not have
      the ability to do or know, so please be realistic.

RP YOUR HEART OUT
Some RPGs limit the amount of battles and role-playing posts you can make on their site each day, to try to keep people grouped together statistically, this is something that can work we don’t like to see, so by all means role-play as much as you want here on fortress. The only exception to this is the bestiary here one fortress, we allow you to battle a total of five beasts a day here, no more then that, however member battles, normal RP threads, quests, etc are all unlimited so go wild and have fun.

MULTI PERSON ROLEPLAYING
Multi-person role-playing is something we really want to promote here on fortress, to make member interaction as high as possible. To make this more beneficial to all members we have decided to reward a bonus to role-playing experience when you role-play with one or more other members. The bonus rewarded will be in the form of extra exp. how much will be based on how much you RP but its a great way to really get a ton of exp quick.
› [ bonus exp ]: for every post you make in these RPs you gain your current level in exp.

QUESTS EXPLAINED
Quests have always been a huge part of FFvii Fortress, ever since they were first added over three years ago. You may ask yourself what exactly is a quest? The answer to that question is simple, Quests are Pre-Set RP ideas that reward a certain item, piece of equipment, or ever gil for completing them. Going about doing a quest is very simple but there are a few rules that you will need to read and remember when doing them to make sure you get everything right and get your reward.
›  [ rule.one ]: you can only do each quest once, unless otherwise stated, so make sure you keep track.
›  [ rule.two ]: you can only do quests in the location that your character is currently in, keep track of this as well.
›  [ rule.three ]: make sure the first post in each quest is the quest info itself, this is for the updaters.
›  [ rule.four ]: make sure you complete all the requirements of the quest, or else you wont receive the reward.
›  [ rule.five ]: make sure before you start a quest you meet all the prerequisites, or else you can do that quest.

MULTI PERSON QUESTS
Quests are always more fun when you have two or more people doing them together, this also strengthens member communication on the site so its something we really like to encourage. Because of this doing a quest with another member or even more then two members will get you a 25% deduction from the word requirements. Please remember the post requirements still remain the same, but all in all this is the best way to do quests.
