GOLD SAUCER INTRODUCTION
The gold saucer is a massive theme park complex that is designed to appear to sprout from the ground. The complex was built by Dio not long ago, on the ruins of what was the town of corel. The gold saucer is operated by Shin-Ra, but is a fun place for anyone to come spend some time and have some fun. The park is filled with games, rides, and many other types of attractions that keep people coming back, even though prices are steep. To get into the gold saucer you will have to have a pass which you can by at the gate.
? [ passes ]: one day pass costs 3,000 gil. lifetime pass costs 30,000 gil.
THE DIFFERENT SQUARES
The gold saucer is split up into different sections, or squares. These squares hold all the different types of attractions, games, and events that are located at the gold saucer. Below is a brief description of each of the major squares.
› [ the.station ]: The station is not really a square, but the arrival point and entrance to the theme park, from here you can
travel to all the other squares.
› [ battle.square ]: The battle square is a massive complex where players can go up against captured beasts for prizes
and other awards, this square also is home to the trophy room.
› [ chocobo.square ]: Chocobo racing is one of the more popular events that goes on at the gold saucer, from here you
can race your chocobos or bet on other races for prizes and GP.
› [ wonder.square ]: The wonder square should be thought of as the game room of the park, here there are many great
video games and prizes that you can attempt to win..
› [ events.square ]: The event square is where the gold saucer puts on its plays as well as hosts other very large and
popular events like tournaments.
THE GOLD SAUCER PRISON
As stated above the gold saucer is built on the ruins of the town of corel which was destroyed by Shin-Ra some years ago. Dio, the owner of the gold saucer now uses the site as a prison for any who break the rules at the gold saucer. The corel prision is almost unescapible, due to the massive desert that surrounds it. If you happen to end up in the corel prison you will be in the company of some of the worst thieves and crooks in the entire would, so be on guard.
GOLD PIECES EXPLAINED
The gold saucer is an interesting place, like most theme parks it has its own currency rather then using the standard gil. When at the gold saucer all things will be bought with gold pieces or "GP". You can win GP from the games and events at the gold saucer or buy your own GP from a man who waits outside of the entrance to the gold saucer. If you wish to buy some GP it will cost you 100 gil for each GP. |
