CHARACTER RACES
The world of Final Fantasy vii is full of many different races that have come to live together over the years. The dominate race of the planet, as it always has been, is the human race, but many years ago a race of ‘ancients’ arrived on the planet and came to live among those human beings as equals. Then some two thousand years ago the being known as jenova fell from the sky during the time that has since been called ‘the calamity’. These races and many other small ones make up the population of the world, but there are some rules, so please continue below.

THE RACES
	HUMANS The human race is the most dominate race of the planet, and has been for most of its existence. Human beings are known for their ability to adapt and learn, and over time those abilities took the human race from many small tribes into the civilized race that they are today. Human beings are the most common race on the planet and because of that many, if not most of the characters on FFvii Fortress will be human.
	MAKO-HUMANS Mako Humans, are really more of a sub-race of the human race, then a race of their own, however due to the growing number of them, you will encounter many in the world. The race of mako-human beings are created when a normal human being is subjected to injection of mako, usually to make them stronger as mako is refined from the planet’s life stream. Mako-Human’s are usually SOLDIER’s but can also be ex-SOLDIER’s as well.
	THE CETRA The cetra race, or ancients, as they are known now arrived on the planet many thousands of years ago. The cetra had traveled the universe in search of their ‘promise land’ and upon arriving on the planet had discovered it. The Cetra are very rare in the world today, as the majority of the Cetra were killed trying to stop the being known as Jenova from destroying their promise land. Today only a few Cetra remain, and are very rare.
	COSMO LIONS The Cosmo Lions are a very rare race of cat like beings. These Cosmo Lion’s are named from the region of the planet which they call home (the cosmo canyon region) and in the past few hundred years have become very rare, however a small number of the race still populates the cosmo region. Cosmo Lion’s are known for their speed, and intelligence, as well as their long life span (some believed to be over 600 years old).
	JENOVA The original being known as Jenova fell from the sky riding some smaller planetary object some two thousand years ago. This being ravaged the planet, causing massive amounts of destruction but was eventually sealed away by the Cetra. Some 50 years ago, Jenova was found and soon was in the hands of the SHINRA electric power company which injected test subjects with Jenova’s cells created this race. Jenova tend to be evil, and extremely powerful beings
