Some rumors leaked out today that Verse 13 and KH3 are both going to be PS4 titles. It doesn't surprise me that Verses 13 got the push to PS4, it's been in development hell for awhile, that's a pretty good marketing idea, if they can have it ready early on it will be a must have title for a new console for a lot of RPG fans. The fact that KH3 might be in development is a pretty big deal too, since nobody has said anything about it, at all, so far.

Oh yeah, rumor is they are both locked as PS4 exclusives, which would be pretty major for Sony, who seem intent on giving Microsoft hell this go around.

Going multiplatform at the time seemed like the move to make for Square-Enix, and I think in doing so it probably did help move more copies of 13 even though it sold something like 4-1 on PS3 to 360. It should be noted that I would expect FF to stay multiplatform at this point (the main series games) since Playstation has lost it's hold on North America, which makes up a hefty portion of FF sales. (The series is not doing so well in Japan these days)

I dunno, Square insists they are still working on it. The company has been a mess the past year or two though., who knows what's going on over there. They need to right that ship soon.

I could see that having happened, XV was annouced, so who knows right?

Who knows what's going on over there. They're finally getting around to releasing FFXIV again as well.

I don't think it's wise to try to understand their current marketing strategies. You'll just end up with a headache lol.

If SE has any sense left in that hallow head of theirs, they'd drop the 13 from Versus' name and just rebrand it as Final Fantasty 15.

13 was a big steaming pile of shit and the fact that it got two sequels is an abomination to all logic. They'd do well to try to seperate themselves from that dumpster fire as soon as possible.

All in all, this game is ridiculously hyped for what was slightly more than a subpar trailer back in 2011.

I have to facepalm and wave my head for how awful it affects a “serious” atmosphere — it's trying too hard to be grim and edgy. Not to mention the crude battle system shown off; a vapid version of KHII's as it appeared. The presentation and setting might be worth sticking around for though.

Amazon no longer has Versus XIII available for pre-order, though I'm not sure why some are already concluding it's FFXV as a result. It could be a mistake, it could be a name change other than FFXV.
