It's a pretty good show, though at times I think it suffers from poor writing and pacing. Compared to Breaking Bad or Sons of Anarchy though, it's just alright.

You have to expect them to move away from the source material. Being one of the highest rated shows on cable is going to push more people towards the comics and thus in the end take away from the core principle of the show, the suspense. One thing about being taken from a comic though is a lot of times parts of the show come of 'comical' in essense, and kinda take away from some of the realism.

It's a good show, I follow it, but it's not among the best on TV. AMC has canceled better shows (See.. The Killing, Rubicon)

I'm not sure about it being the #1 rated show on cable, for it's night and time slot yes, not sure overall (there is a lot to compare there). As for 'comical' areas. Just a few things off the top of my head. Herschell should be dead, you don't just hack a leg off without tying off his arteries and not bleed to death, he should be dead. Nobody there had the medical know how to stop him from going into shock and dying after like 5 minutes. That's a lack of realism (Merle is a similar situation) and the ole blade/hand thing, come on… really?

I have heard so many good things about this show. I do plan on eventually getting around to watching it on Netflix.

One more month until it comes back, I'm sure the second half of the season is going to be pretty awesome.

Oh yeah, they left us with a major cliffhanger to resolve, it's going to be a pretty action packed second half of the season I think.

Yeah, so two episodes later, I'm not sure what all's going to happen in the rest of this season. They've been so crazy with how things from the comics are brought in/used that all bets are off.

Anything's possible.

Just looking at the finales of seasons past, there were a lot of deaths. lol.

So, this finale is probably going to be pretty crazy.
