What happened with Merle happened in the way (the person) I expected, but not in the *way* (the event) it happened.

Finale is going to be pretty awesome. As for Merle I saw that coming, whenever minor characters start getting story fleshed out, that's usually what happens. The writers have that tell, lol. The way it happened was pretty awesome though.

In other news.. apparently ABC greenlit a Zombieland TV series. I hated that movie.

Yeah, Merle going was pretty sad, mostly for Daryl's reaction.

As for Zombieland, I like the movie, but the TV show looks bad. They're using some of the characters from the movie, but they recasted them, so…I don't know what they're thinking. What I read though was that Amazon is doing it.

Maybe it was amazon. That makes more sense.

Whoever pays to stream that from Amazon is pretty dumb.

I wouldn't that's for sure. I found the movie, with big stars in it, to be really stupid and not funny at all. I can only imagine how bad a TV series will be.

I was able to watch every episode while I was over there and I must say I enjoyed the series for the most part and I can't wait for Season 4. When the Governor went crazy in the finale, I didn't see that coming. It was some crazy stuff.

It won't be that much longer until the hype for Season 4 starts.

The trailer for season 4 actually has me pumped and I'm a TWD comic nerd.

I usually don't watch trailers, I expect season 4 will be pretty awesome though, it will be interesting to see how the whole end of season 3 thing pans out.

They're gonna have the prune the cast off this season, so probably a lot of people lol. In related news, I get to meet Tony Moore (the original artist/co-creator of the comic) this weekend at a Comic Con. I'm stoked!

So, the newest season of TWD came on nearly 3 weeks ago. I for one have not been sold thusfar. Episode 1 was pretty “meh” for me. *SPOILERS MAYBE* The inclusion of new characters was fairly abrupt, at least in my eyes — not to mention Rick's preoccupation with farming and committment to non-violence. There were some good parts about it, but the dialogue also felt…off. I dunno. Episode 2 was better, in my opinion, but something still feels off. It feels…cartoony. I know that's strange to say given it's an adaptation of a comic book, but the comic series is fairly visceral despite its medium. I suppose it may be the effects of a new showrunner on the writing/overall production. But who knows? We'll see.

I haven't really gotten into it either, that first episode was kinda lovey dovey, everybody had a new beau. I'm anticipating the return of the Governer.

Yeah, it'll be interesting with him back in the fray. I'm sort of already ready for “the flu” arc to be done with. I don't see it staying interesting for very long.

Yeah me too, also it seems like things might start getting more interesting next week, as so far things haven't really developed into much. So here's hoping that's the case. Also I read today that it was renewed for a 5th season (big surprise, it was also annouced recently that including DVR and On Demand viewings over the week after the debut episode this season that it was the most watched program in cable TV history.)

Yeah, I heard that too. It also already held that record with last year's debut if I do recall.

The second half of season 4 aired last Sunday and continues tonight at 9 P.M. EST. Thoughts?

For me, the new episode was good, but not great. In a way, I feel it was an attempt to re-align with the comic, but it wasn't super interesting. I am, however, excited to see how this progresses. I know of a few new cast members/characters that come from the comics, so we'll see.
