He turned away from her towards the cabinet that housed his liquor as she mentioned being tempted to return. He didn't want her to see how happy it made him to hear her say that. She was beautiful, there was no doubt about that… and something told him that she was very 'talented' as well… but there was something else about this woman that he found truly intriguing and he had hoped that the feeling wasn't unrequited. Now it seemed that at least she enjoyed his company. From the cabinet he took two tumblers and a decanter of whiskey. He filled the two low glasses halfway full of the aged alcohol and replaced the decanter in the cabinet. A moment later he returned to Syn and handed her the glass.

"Well the mineral rights are why I bought it. But it turns out that I found some peace and quiet here which turned out to be immensely more valuable to me in the long run." He took a long sip of the whiskey as he held her gaze for a moment. The way she looked around the cabin he could tell that she might have some misgivings about her life as a wanderer.

"Let me show you something." He said softly before leading her back out of the cabin and across to his workshop. Once they were inside he closed the door behind her and turned on the lights. She would see the personal workshop of a master weaponsmith. The furnace was cold now, but when he got the time to spend here on Haven, it usually ran hot so he could work with the different metals throughout the shop. She would see sheets of different metals as well as strips of leather in varying shades and states of tanning. The most prominent feature of the workshop though was a table along the far wall which held his current project. Spread out across the table were the bits and pieces going into what appeared to be an ornate armor breast plate. Metal that had been shaped into the form of the plate lay at one end, while on the other end were pieces of leather that were engraved in such a way as to resemble the scales of a dragon.

"I spend a lot of my free time here. It's really quite liberating. The more modern ways of producing weapons and armor lose the intimacy of the craft…"

On her best days Syn could drink most men under the table, a high tolerance she inherited from her father that had nothing to do with being a Jedi, though she could make effects fade if need be. She took in the rich scent savoring it as much as the flavor, he had good taste. She saw the look in his eyes and inwardly was embarrassed, she hadn’t meant to let that little bit of her inward thoughts slip, oh well. She was happy that the little moon wouldn’t get torn to shreds for the making of weapons, it would have been a waste. When he led her into his most private place in his home the passion he had was very clear. She eyed the armor with appreciation, he really had talent, she wondered what some of the smith’s back at the temple would say. “You’d like a few of the smiths at the temple, they like the old ways better too. Zeke, the head smith, told me once when I was learning to craft my sabers that the modernization of the craft took the soul out of the work one was making.”

She remembered what it had been like to make her two only stable companions. The satisfaction she had when at last they hissed to life in her hands, though she had no real drive to create others. “Its not uncommon for us to carry other weapons than just our Lightsabers. Zeke made me a set of knives that I wear, he’s the best at his craft. Aerolan, our bowyer is of like mind too, the bows he makes for the hunters never fail. Archaic a bow may be, but with our skills behind them they are more deadly than a blaster, more reliable too. You should come by sometime to my neck of the woods” A pun she couldn’t resist “you might find a place for the wares you make at our market. You’ll also find willing critics and teachers too, your armor is very beautiful so far. I thank you…for showing me this, for allowing me to see something of you that’s very personal.”

As she turned to face him now, he felt drawn to her even more. She could never know that he wouldn't bring his weaponry and armor to the Jedi temple, lest someone recognize some of the ancient techniques… but her approval was reassuring nonetheless. He stepped into her now so that there was only a breath of daylight between the two. He didn't speak, because it was almost as if they were beyond words at that moments. His left hand came up slowly and moved gently across her skin, starting at her forehead and guiding a few loose pieces of hair behind her right ear before continuing softly along her jaw line to her chin which he elevated slightly so that he could look into her eyes.

Then Azrael leaned in and gently pressed his lips to hers.

During the kiss Syn led them backwards so that she could lean against the table, after that any other thoughts fled her mind.

As always she awoke just as the sun touched the horizon, it took a moment for her to remember where she was and why, but once she did she relaxed. It also reminded her that she would soon have to leave, she ignored that thought for now, it was too early. She carefully got out of bed so as not to disturb Azrael, she looked about the room and spotted a shirt, she put it on quietly smirking when she realized it was his. Walking into the kitchen she went about getting things for breakfast, she was starving and she was sure so would he be, he had a well stocked kitchen. She figured he must either hire someone to keep the contents of his fridge fresh or live here, either way it worked out well for her as she made omelets. While she wasn’t an extravagant cook, she could cook simple things and pretty well she thought.

Usually she wasn’t near a kitchen and just made due with whatever food she had on her. Making food wasn’t a noiseless event, even as she tried to be quiet she was sure he’d wake up to the sounds of what she was doing. She found the coffee container and had to fight the lid off, it popped off suddenly and a quick catch with her powers kept the brown stuff from flying and making a mess on the floor. She breathed a sigh of relief willing it all back in, Gods what a mess that would have been, coffee grounds are the worst to try and clean. I’d have had to find the vacuum. Just call me a djinni, I make all messes float and poof back where they belong! That train of thought made her grin as she set to making the stuff into something drinkable.

She leaned back and he lifted her onto the table. He took her there in his workshop and he would take her several more times throughout the night back in the cabin. When they finally finished he fell soundly asleep holding her tightly in his arms.

Azrael wouldn't notice as she got out of bed, Syn didn't know him well enough to know it yet but the man slept like the dead and he wasn't easily awakened. Despite all of her commotion downstairs he still wouldn't have woken up. If and when she finally came looking for him, Syn would find that he had simply rolled over and pulled the covers back tight around him.

Syn couldn’t believe that even after all that noise the man was curled up like a caterpillar in a cocoon of blankets. It would take a lot of effort to get most of that off so she stood there looking to see what part was not as tightly wrapped. The grin that spread on her face was a wicked one as she saw it was mostly the lower half. She’d set the food on the table and it would be warm for a bit so she got under the covers and neatly nipped him on his behind scampering out from under lest he thrash. It was gunna be a beautiful morning and she wanted to see what he thought of her cooking, but he had to get out of bed first!

Feeling her teeth clinch on his buttcheek, cause Azrael to roll in her direction. His eyes opened very slightly taking a moment for things to sink in. The first thing he saw was Absynia standing there in his shirt which reached the tops of her thighs. The way she was standing, the quad of her left leg was flexed… dear gods he loved when a woman's leg had just the right amount of tone to it… His eyes slowly worked up her tight body to her beautiful face which was full of mischief at the moment. Smiling he pushed up onto his right elbow and looked at her.

"Did you really just bite my ass?" He asked groggily.

It was now that the scent of food hit his nostrils. "That smells really good. What's for breakfast?"

The grin only got more mischievous “I’d have bitten your ear, but a certain cocooned man had the blankets too tight near his face to bother with, your ass just happened to be more accessible. Good morning by the way mister slug-a-bed and yeah, made omelets, coffee too. Now hurry else I’ll lift you from that bed and drag you with me…”

She crossed her arms her blue eyes glittering, oh yes she’d do it and probably find other ways to torture the man awake.

Slowly the man pushed the covers off and felt goose bumps form on his skin as the cool air touched his bare flesh. He got out of bed padding lightly over to the woman and kissed her deeply before his right hand smacked her ass cheek firmly enough that there might be a slight handprint. He then padded to the dresser and pulled out a pair of loose fitting pants and slipped them on. Azrael then returned to Syn and took her in his arms once again kissing her. Normally he would have liked for a woman to be gone the next morning, but Syn was different he actually enjoyed her company… she was good in bed too, but at least that wasn’t all she was good for.

“I’m starving. Let’s go eat shall we?”

She gave a surprised yelp when he swatted her, she swatted his arm scrunching her nose at him in a mock scowl, then shook her head with a chuckle. She fished in her bag for her Comm and saw the light blinking, she stared at it and then turned it on to listen to the message

Synnie, looks like the storms started early this year, I got the go-ahead from the rest of the council. You can officially be on vacation for a month, but barring any further delays I want you to return to the temple when its over. Have fun and take care.

She turned it off with a mischievous smirk, it was pretty perfect timing and she certainly wasn’t going to argue. She followed after Azrael sitting down and grinned at him “I’ve got some good news.”
