  Scenario IV ~ The Crisis

Jonas casually crossed the downstairs sitting room finding the bottom of the stairs Alucard had ascended just minutes before. The faint odor of a firecracker drifted to the foot of the stairs as Jonas began to climb, his legs bent, crouching to stay as low as possible as the headed to the upper level. As he reached the top of the stairs he entered the peripheral of the mist cloud. Jonas sank low as he saw a swift movement dash to his left and then out of sight. He held his gun close, holding his position, waiting for something to occur.

  The Crisis
Alucard looked around the luxurious bathrom and shook his head. How some lived while others lived in poverty. It was part of the reason they had been attacked most likely. Alucard knew he didn't make it right, but it did explain it and why an innocent is dead. 'That was your fault.' On queue, morality came in, but was ignored. Sometimes he loved to not be helpful.

Calculating about how much longer the mist would last in the room, Alucard began checking out the room to give something to do. He had practiced with the pellets many times and knew in a room that size it would still be extremely hard to see. Opening the door within the bathroom, Alucard hoped he could find something of use here since going out may cause more harm than good.

  Scenario IV ~ The Crisis

An eerie silence permeated the upper parlor, drifting along with the dissipating mist. Streaks of sunlight cut through the haze, dancing along the far wall, the room appeared void of life. Jonas held is position, knowing that moving into the mist would only make his survival more complicated, he would wait at it's edge, keeping an eye on the parlor and for movement on the stairs below him, his gun drawn, ready to fire on any movement in the haze if his presence being uncovered was nigh.

Meanwhile the nearby lavatory was quiet, the small linen closet door opening without a sound revealing build in shelving which housed towels of the finest quality. A stack of bath robes, fluffy and white, was also present inside of the closet, though nothing else of any importance could be found.

OOC Talk:
The mist has now dissipated enough to follow movement easily.

After going through the bathroom and finding nothing of use, Alucard began to think of how long it had been since he used the mist pellet. By hs calculations, it should be gone. Opening the door slowly with his gun pointed through the crack, he examined the room to see if his target was still there. Through the crack he spotted the guy from outside. They didn't have time to introduce themselves, so unsure of how to announce it was him, Alucard did his best, “Hey it's the guy from outside. Never exchanged names, I'm Alucard.” Alucard wasn't sure what the man would do. He may e with them, but hadn't shot so far, so gave him the benefit of the doubt. The door remained cracked till he saw what he would do.

  Scenario IV ~ The Crisis

Jonas was watchful as the mist evaporated, the furnishings of the upstairs parlor becoming more visible with each passing second. An eerie quietness persisted, Jonas felt uneasy, sure that somewhere just out of sight one of the bandits was in wait, ready to take a crack shot at him as soon as the mist completely cleared. His eyes moved around the room, first spotting a paisley embroidered sofa, it's arching backs a beautiful dark ebony. As the mist cleared more he saw the buckshot tears that hit the sofa's edge, then the fine table with it's silver set in the middle. As he gazed movement stirred. his reaction was swift, his .45 raising towards the movement only checked when he recognized the figure in the slightly ajar doorway. Jonas' eyes widened as Alucard began to speak, his free hand frantically waving off the sound by cutting at his throat, his presence still unknown by the bandits.

A creaking floorboard sprang in the distance drawing Jonas' head first down the stairs then to the right of the parlor where he knew a doorway must lie, even though he could not physically see it from his position. His eyes shot back to Alucard who could surely make out movement in the doorway.

Someone passed across the doorway the bandit escaped into, the mist has now cleared.

Shutting his mouth as he didn't shoot. Opening the door a little more, Jackal leading the sight of someone crossing the doorway caught his eye. He wasn't sure if it was the guy before, Alucard held up one finger as he opened the door, trying to prevent any creaking, he moved behind the couch he had hid under before. Looking over at Jonas, held out his arms and pumped one back then back his hands shake, hoping he would understand it was a shotgun. Peeking through a gun shot hole, Alucard bidding his time instead of rush.

  Scenario IV ~ The Crisis

Jonas nodded in understandment as Alucard moved across the room silently, motioning with his hands when he reached the sofa that the attacker had a shotgun. Jonas had heard the blast moments ago and knew exactly what Alucard was attempting to convey. The parlor was quiet for several moments, both invaders to the crime waiting for the bandits to make their move from the same doorway. A creak suddenly echoed through the large room. Jonas looked to his left where the door near him was had slowly began to open and then with a crackling kick was thrust open with a crash. The bandit stepped through the doorway, his eyes set on Alucard across the room, completely prone, not noticing Jonas who was squatting low, his back against the wall in which the attacker had entered from. The click of the pump action gun followed as the bandit racked a round, the barrel of the gun drifting towards Alucard.

Jonas acted fast, realizing that the bandit had failed to recognize his presence. Quickly and quietly he slid behind the gunman, his left hand reaching into his coat to retrieve his second Grader as he stood, bringing both guns upwards just a foot behind the bandit's head. The room fell more silent as the bandit must have clearly realized from Alucard's facial expression what was happening behind him. Before he could act Jonas let out a deep breath and effortlessly pulled the triggers of both Graders in rhythm releasing a burst of fire at the back of the bandit's head. As the gunfire roared through the mansion Jonas watched the bandit's head explode in a shower of crimson. He cringed, never getting use to the sight. The bandit fell forward with a thud and Jonas moved quickly through the door he had entered, motioning for Alucard to follow.

Watching as the gunman drew his shotgun on him, Alucard looked unscared. He trusted this man for some reason, instinct born from living here so long. Alucard knew to trust this instinct and he didn't fail his now as the shotgunner fell, dead.

Alucard followed Jonas into the room the gunner had come out up. Looking over the hallway, Alucard could tell the south door led to the balcony area, but he wasn't sure of where the west door would lead. Alucard moved close to Jonas so he could hear his whisper,
“Stay out of sight for a moment.” Alucard then moved to the west and and opened it a crack trying to look south to see if it connected with the bottom area.

  Scenario IV ~ The Crisis

Rays of sunlight illuminated the guest bedroom as Alucard cracked open the doorway. The room was furnished in a lavish fashion, the bed sporting a full canopy and what appeared to be red silk sheets, located against the far western wall to the left of the doorway. To the right of the door a ebony tall dresser set perpendicular to a matching vanity and stool at the L-shape wall. A single armchair was positioned looking out the northern most window, empty as was the entire room.
” Shut your bitch mouth! ” A deep grizzled voice suddenly shouted, followed by a muffled scream from the southern most door. Vibrations of movement from the room could be felt though the floorboards as sounds of chair legs clacking as they were rocking back in a hurried movement followed.

Jonas nodded and ducked low to the left side of the doorway as Alucard tugged at the handle, pulling the door slightly ajar to reveal the empty guest bedroom. He let out a sigh of relief and turned his attention back to the most southern door, knowing from his position outside earlier that the murdered woman had fallen from a window of that room. The shouting, movement, and screams took Jonas off guard he knew they had to act fast. Jonas moved stealthily towards the door which was shut tightly, doing his best to send no sign of their presence outside of the room. Looking to his left Jonas still squatting low touched the hallway window's glass, then the idean dawning on him he turned to face Alucard in a haste.

Motioning to remain silent he pulled his arm across his body as if to mimic opening the window. Jonas pointed to himself the out, then thrusting his arm as if banging on a door he pointed at Alucard and then the door behind him. Inquisitively he gestured with two thumbs up, as if to ask if he understood before unlatching the window and sliding it open silently, readying himself to climb out onto the balcony.

Alucard nodded, understand it. Putthing his jackal away, Alucard slide his dual katars out of his coat. He moved towards the door and nodded for Jonas to go out the window. Pulling his right arm back, he thrusted the katar right through the upper part of the door, “Coffin Delivery”. Alucard chuckled as he pulled out his right katar and thrusted the left one parallel. He then backed up from the door and leaned again the inner wall, waiting for bullet to come through.

  Scenario IV ~ The Crisis

The plan racing through his mind Jonas had slunked over the window sill as quiet as possible, planting his feet soundly on the slanted copper roofed balcony. He cringed as he attempted to move, having overlooked the fact that each footstep could possibly clank with a heaviness that would put the entire plan in jeopardy. Moving at almost a crawl he heard a commotion from inside, having not yet reached the window he assumed that Alucard has commenced his pounding upon the door. Reaching Jonas grasped the bedroom window sill and peeking ever so slightly he attempted to see into the room.

The room, like the adjoining guest bedroom was lavishly adorned, sporting a similar canopy bed and furniture though the center of this room was occupied by two full sized sofas facing each other. Along the western wall near the closet door a young maid was tied to a armchair, squirming and moving, doing all she could to come free. The bandit had moved towards the door, though he had stopped far short of where Jonas had hoped. Looking past he saw two massive long holes, perhaps an inch wide and four to five inches high has be put through the oaken door. The bandit didn't move, his hands clasping a 12-gauge shotgun.

The splintering sound of wood drew the bandit's attention in a frenzy as his head shot round towards the doorway which now sported two tall slit like holes. He moved his lumbering body past the bed, grasping the 12-gauge that had rested there as passed, coming to a stop several feet from the door. He listened for movement, hearing nothing and seeing nothing against the streaming light from the holes he simply waited, his trigger finger itching.

Alucard continued laughing as it got a crazy edge to it while he thought of his next plan. Now gun shots meant he was waiting, but with what he didn't know. Putting a few more holes into the door while staying at the edge of the wall, Alucard continued to taunt him, “Is no one home?”.

Abruptly Alucard stopped laughing or making any noise. He took out his jackal and walked back to the room he and Jonas came from. Putting two hands onto the dead thug, he hoisted him up and walked back to the wall way. The laughter continued,
“I'm going to need a SIGNATURE!” Alucard threw the dead body through the weakened door and prepared the follow into the room with his jackal in hand.

  Scenario IV ~ The Crisis

The noise of the katar splintering the oaken door in repetition reverberated through the hallway and into the upstairs parlor, drifting aimlessly downstairs as it traveled. From behind the door the Bandit simply watched, not willing to attempt a blind shot through what was hard enough wood to negate much of the force of his buckshot, even at close range. Stepping back he continued to simply wait and watch, knowing that all the noise being made and spoken would alert the intruder's presence to the other bandits. Glancing to his right the band searched through the window, looking across the courtyard to the eastern wing of the house where through the windows he could see the boss' movements as he was pointing and talking to another of the bandits, their exact motions shielded by sunlight's reflection of the far glass. A heavy thud brought his attention back as the body crashed through the door, landing heepishly on the splintered mass of oak. Ahead revealing Alucard who was pushing through the doorway towards him.
” Crazy son of a… ” The bandit began to exclaim in his deep, dusty voice, as he squeezed the trigger of his 12-gauge firing the buckshot at torso height at Alucard.

OOC Talk:
At this range the shotgun is automatic.
location roll was a 65 so Torso shot, which will do 12 damage to Alucard unless he dodges.

  Scenario IV ~ The Crisis

Jonas watched in as sly of a manner as possible as Alucard ignored his suggestions and haphazardly began an assault on the door between himself and the 12-gauge packing bandit. The man's mind was racing, knowing that Alucard was making far too much noise and even if they did somehow manage to thwart this one bandit, the one that had passed him minutes before on the lower levels would surely hear the raucous stranger and come in haste. Jonas was feeling torn, he had no ill will towards Alucard an respected the man's guts and morals, however at the same time he wasn't about to risk his own life if he could remain unseen and do the same job.

As the thoughts continued he watched the subtle movements of the bandit whose attention was suddenly drawn to the window. Jonas reacted fast dipping low out of sight, turning his back to the wall and sitting on the copper awning. Gazing across the courtyard he witnessed the movements of two bandits in the far room, one appeared to be the man who had murdered the poor woman and cast her from the window, no doubt the leader of this crew. He had not seen Jonas yet, but a simple turn could change all of that in an instant. 'Shit' he thought to himself, realizing that with all the noise Alucard was making that the bandit leader was sure to acknowledge it sooner rather than later, meaning only one thing. Jonas would have to go in through the window as planned if he had any chance or keeping his stealth.

Jonas moved quickly now, abandoning worry about alerting the nearby bandit to his presence. Grasping the window he lunged it opened, sliding it to the side with a click and kicking with his boots with a metallic thud against the awning, he heaved himself in a roll into the master suite. As he landed the blast of the shotgun blared, the smoke silhouetting Alucard. Jonas slid back, resting on the the floor as he pulled both Grader's free and with a rapid squeeze of the trigger began to unleash hell.

The shotgun tore through Alucards side, but left little than a few trails of blood. Looking at the man with his head sideways, he laughter stopped, “Your not on the reciept.” Drawing his grader into his left hand quickly, Alucard release a barrage of bullets at the imposter. Hearing bullets that weren't his, Alucard smiled knowing the stranger had gone with the plan. He had potential he thought with his ear to ear smile.

  Scenario IV ~ The Crisis

The bandit moved as fast as he could, reaching the stairs and thrust himself up them at full speed, taking two at a time until he reached the landing in the upper parlor. A puddle of dark carmine red caught his attention, he noticed it was scattered with pieces of skull and tissue, and bloody crimson footprints led through the open door to his left. The bandit moved to the apex of the doorway, peeking in just as Alucard caught a blast to the chest and returned it with a death nail of a shot to his friends head. The grizzly bandit watched his friend stagger and fall to the ground, his eyes grew wide.
” NO! ” Were the only words he mustered, yelling at the top of his lungs as he turned the corner, his hands grasping his sub-machine gun. The bandit lifted the muzzle of his weapon, taking a step through the doorway before he squeezed the trigger firing a burst of rounds towards Alucard.

Jonas clenched his muscles as the gunfire began, the rounds flying around the large master suite, some ricocheting before finding their home in the walls or furniture. He felt the warm splatter of blood hit his face and hands and opened his eyes to see the bandit topple to the ground in front of him. His eyes met Alucard, bleeding badly from buckshot across his side, but were pulled away by the movement of shadows between his ally's legs. He tried to call out but the sub-machine gun pop reverberated through the western wing of the mansion before he could speak.
” Shit, we have to move now! ” Jonas shouted out, unsure if the gunshots had hit Alucard or not.
Jonas slid across the hardwood floor quickly, pulling himself out of sight of the door before he got to his feet and made a b-line for the tied up maid. Jonas holstered his right gun quickly, pulling free a small knife from his boot in a swift motion. He turned, looking behind, noticing that the figures in the window across the courtyard had moved, out of sight. He made a mental note as he cut the maid free, releasing her from bondage.
” Are there more hostages? ” He asked quickly, she simply nodded yes in response. His heart sank, they would have to see this through to the end.

The sounds of another voice caused Alucard to immediately spin to his left and leane against the wall. Just as he thought, another bandit. Bullets flew right past him as he watched Jonas talk to the tied up maid. Alucard pointed to Jonas and said protect without any sound coming out. Running towards the window he kept his shoulder against the wall and swung out of the wind and held onto it the outside, waiting to see what the bandit would do.
