gun combat is a key part of what trigun is, and it is impossible to represent every gun that would be avalilable in the world of gunsmoke. this is where then gunsmith comes into play. this section will brief you on how to step by step create your own custom weapon from a list of options. please read through the following tables and explanitory paragraphs that will list what each aspect of the gun does and what it costs. if you have questions feel free to post them on the questions board. there is a base charge for materials for each type of gun, this charge is standard and does not change from the following set prices; handguns cost 100$$ base, rifles and shotguns 200$$ base. this is where you start with gun creation, you then add the price of each addition to the base price to get the final cost of your weapon.

the ammunition that your weapon uses is the most important step in creating your gun. each different size of ammunition cartrage does a set amount of damage, so choosing the type of ammunition you want your gun to fire is important. please remember we only support the kinds of ammunition listed in the table below, and that your gun may only fire one size ammunition.

the next step in creating your custom weapon is to choose how much ammunition the base magazine or revolver can hold. remember that the more ammunition the weapon holds, the longer you will have to go without reloading which could give you an advantage while in combat. also remember that the max ammunition for a revolver is 8, anything higher then 8 in a handgun will have to use a magazine to hold its ammunition. below is the capacity table, apply cost to your base.

one of the best ways to gain an advantage in combat is to have a weapon with a higher firing speed then your opponent, the base firing speed for any gun is one shot per round, however with improvements, or the use of a semi-automatic or fully automatic weapon can cause that base firing speed to rise. the max firing speed per round for a weapon is 5 shots. revolvers have a max firing speed of two, while semi-automatic hand guns range from 1-5. sniper rifles are limited to 1 always, and shotguns cannot exceed two.
