Jack's true appearance is shrouded in mystery. Though it can be discerned that he is indeed a feline species of the Beast kind, his exact features are unknown even to those who are close to him. A being wrapped in secrets Jack dons a skeletal stark white mask with only black cutout holes to see and a spooky lined mouth that is capable of morphing into different expressions depending on his mood. On his body is a one piece near slightly baggy tracksuit the color gray with black stripes lining the sides. A boring brown belt wraps around his waist as white gloves and boots with smiling skull buttons adorn them. Next is his obviously feline appendages, such as his triangular white mask covered ears that peek out from his hood and his gray white tipped tail. Lastly he is swathed in a dark red tattered cloak that reaches to his upper ankles.

   + Personality: —  Jack is very much an enigma. He is a secretive person who doesn't trust many people, if at all. Unlike the other residents of Halloween Town he's not that enthusiastic about the holiday. Instead he is more interested about the worlds beyond his own. Though he does hold the love of fear it's a different from the residents of Halloween town who do it for 'fun'. Jack wishes to understand the workings of fear and how it affects others. He takes it a step farther and goes as far as intimidating a victim in order to get a better understanding of their reactions. Despite his scary appearance and questionable morals he is a bit of a softy. He enjoys the dead nonliving life of Halloween Town as much as the next monster- but he wishes to see things that his world cannot provide. Such as blooming flowers, the bright cheery sun, and other things not pointing to death and decay. At one point as a child he had the dream of becoming a guardian of children- and was really tempted to go to Christmas Town in order to meet Santa and join him and his elves.

However it wasn't meant to be as he never got the nerve to enter the tree door. Jack can be a bit of a trickster. Despite loving the thought of people fearing him, he also enjoys the looks of pure shock on their faces as well as anger. Negative emotions have always enticed him like a moth to a flame and thus he soon found out what best way to get these emotions was by pulling pranks. Getting under the person's skin was the perfect way for them to blow a gasket or stand still in shock. Sometimes a look of horror was even better as it tied to fear. Jack isn't evil, but he isn't a saint either. He enjoys chaos, thrives in it even- but apart of him enjoys life's little things as well and he is more than willing to sit down and smell the roses- so to speak. If anything Jack is on the teetering edge of both alignments. Ever so close to rising to the light or falling into the darkness. But being Jack- his future is never certain…

• H i s t o r y
   + —  Jack T. Ripp was born in Halloween Town to a pair of real monsters- literally. But despite this he was loved just like a normal parents would love their child. Growing up while every kid was more interested in preparing for Halloween alongside Jack Skeleton, Jack T Ripp was dreaming of places beyond the stars. As he grew older this desire to explore became stronger. Though his parents were to determined to get him to love the holiday, Jack's head was in the clouds. Luckily or unluckly Jack still had his liking for fear, but instead of seeing it as 'fun', he saw it as a subject to learn more of. Finally as an adult he got the courage to step outside his usual boundries only to come across a swirling black portal. Before he could react however he was sucked into it and found himself lying in the middle of Traverse Town's square. A near manical laugh bubbles from his masked lips after realization sunk in. He was free! And freedom never felt so good…
