Darkness surrounded Sora completely so dark that he could have been in cloaked in the darkness or it could expand forever, Sora could not tell either way. His mind drifting between Riku who had accepted the darkness and Kairi who had disappeared before his very eyes. Trying to focus on the events that had shattered his worlds in an instant was clouded by the feeling of drifting in space. Darkness consumed Sora's consciousness causing the young boy to pass out.
The feeling of a wet tongue brushed against Sora's cheek, waking him up from his slumber. “What a dream…” The dog pounced on Sora's chest, waking up from his stupor, “This isn't a dream!” Sora found himself in an alleyway in a strange town. Standing slowly to keep his balance, Sora look around the alleyway, “Where am I?” The alleyway was surrounded by tall buildings with lights coming from the inside, but all ways quiet except for the yellow dog with a green collar and thin droppy ears. The dog looked up at Sora, panting playfully, “Do you know where we are?” Sora said looking down at the dog. Suddenly, the dog turned and ran off, out of sight, “Hey…” Sora reached out for the dog, but the dog was gone before Sora could react.
The strange town that Sora found himself in was erriely quiet. The dog was no where to be seen. “Is this…a new…world?” Sora scratched his head, trying to remember exactly what happened before he arrived here, “Kairi! Riku!” Sora yelled, hoping his friends were somewhere nearby. It seemed as if besides that dog, the entire town was deserted. Walking down a flight of stairs, Sora found himself in an open courtyard with tables and chairs which seemed to be for dining, but there was no one sitting.
The shadows cast from the nearby light began to moved across the ground, surrounding Sora. The five flattened shadows materialized from the ground and took on a humanoid shape roughly half the size of Sora with bright yellow eyes and two antennas atop his head. Sora tried to back up, but found he was surrounded. As if answering his internal cry for help, a gigantic key appeared in Sora's hand, the same key that appeared in his hand on Destiny Island. Gripping the key with both hands, Sora watched the shadows, waiting to see what their first move would be.
OOC: I plan to have there be a lot of battles in this rp and to not slow things down there will be both stat and free form rps. They will all be free form unless stated to be stat.
The eternal twilight of Traverse Town greeted Laguna as he casually exited the Moogle Workshop and turned to his right, his hands feeling the weight of his firearm which he had just purchased. The thought ran through his head that it was strange how quickly he had become accustomed to this place—Traverse Town—Having only arrived a few days before. The thoughts of his own home, the darkness that had come like a wave of destruction and swept him away, still lingered—yet he had always craved adventure and that is what he was now on. ” Not much of a gun, but it'll do me for now. Until I can scrounge up some more of that.. uh. munni. ” Laguna spoke to himself, as he often did when working out new plans. Reaching the steps that lead down into the main court of District 1 as he had come to know it he stopped, thinking. Laguna had decided to pop into the small cafe and grab a bite to eat before heading back to the hotel, though at first sight it seemed closed from where he was standing. He would go check to see anyhow, he had nothing better to do. As he neared his destination he watched cautiously as a yellow dog ran by brazenly followed shortly after by a spikey headed youngster. Things like this happened often in Traverse Town, or at least that appeared to. Taking a seat in one of the wooden chairs, Laguna had turned his back on the young man and the square behind him.

Chapter One: Keyblade Master
The five shadows inched towards Sora as if testing out Sora, wary of the keyblade. Sora constantly moved his head around in order keep an eye on all five that had surrounded him. Looking past the heartless, Sora noticed another human, completely unaware of the situation he was now in. “You need to get out of here.” Yelled Sora as one of the heartless jumped towards. Spinning to increase the force of his attack, Sora's keyblade hit the shadow full force and sent it flying back, “These guys are dangerous.” Sora remember trying to fight them with just his wooden sword and had no luck until this giant key appeared in his hand.
Noticing Sora's warning, two shadows flattened onto the ground and made their way towards Laguna. Moving onto the table in front of Laguna, the shadows materializing from their shadow form and looked at Laguna, head cocked to the side as if confused by the ignorance of the man.
Exhaling as he leaned back in the wooden chair, Laguna was ready to relax for the night. It came as quite a surprise when a voice seemed to call at him moments later, the distress of the young boy's tone enough to catch Laguna's attention and pull him from his thoughts. Turning in slow motion to meet the boy's gaze he was suddenly aware of what was going on around them. The shadow's had returned, his mind had lurched back to his first encounter with the creatures, the night that he was lost into the void and awoke marooned in this very town. It was all happening again. ” Impossible, everyone said this place was safe from their influence. ” Laguna muttered, mostly to himself in denial. Feeling the weight of the small gun in his hands Laguna looked down at the weapon he had just purchased, as if by design. Without hesitation he grasped the weapon and pointing it forward towards the nearby wooden table he squeezed the trigger, hoping to destroy at least one of the two nearby Heartless.

Chapter One: Keyblade Master
The shadow sent flying by Sora burst into dark particles and vanished if it was never there. Too worries about the stranger, Sora didn't notice the shadow coming up behind him. The shadow jumped and slashed Sora with its claws. “Ahh!” Sora stumbled forward and turned around, glowering at the shadow that hit him. Catching the movement of the other shadow out of the corner of his eye, Sora noticed the shadow that didn't attack flattened into the ground while the one that attack cocked its head at Sora.
Charging forward, Sora slashed with his keyblade, once, twice, then spun sending the shadow flying like the last one that dissolved like the first, “Take this!” After countless battle with Riku, Sora had learned to not let his guard down and scanned the area watching as a shadow moved across the ground, waiting to reappear and attack.
Laguna's bullets pierced through the shadow, causing it to dissolve, leaving nothing of it behind. Without any worry for it's ally, the other shadow jumped forward, claw held back, around to slash Laguna.

The action around Laguna was quickly growing in intensity as he managed to catch a quick glimpse of the young spikey haired boy making quick work of the shadows. Turning his attention back to his own situation he quickly adjusted the aim of his small pistol, lining up his sights instinctively on the second shadow that was quickly sliding towards him. Sensing he needed to act quickly Laguna squeezed the trigger once more and with a flash and bang he watched the second shadow stuck back from his shot. Letting out a deep sigh of relief he slowly let the gravity of the situation seep into his mind, if the heartless where here he knew that meant this world was in danger much like his own had been. For the briefest of moments he felt the despair, the sense that defeat would come and he would be lost in the void once again, but shoving the thoughts aside he decided he would fight to prevent such a thing from happening. ” Kid, we've got to warn everyone. These things, they swallow up entire worlds! ” Laguna shouted out, feeling emotion overtaking him as he spoke. In his mind he thought of Kiros and Ward, what would they think of him now?

Chapter One: Keyblade Master
Losing sight of the shadow as it crawled across the ground, Sora was distracted for a moment as he heard Laguna's words, “My island…” Feeling despair, Sora loosened his grip on the keyblade for a moment as the shadow Laguna shot vanished due to the bullet. A single shadow remained, though out of sight as it crawled across the ground.
Materializing from the ground behind Sora, the shadow pulled back his claw to attack when a fireball soared past Sora and hit the shadow which disappeared with the flame. “They'll come at you out of no where.” A stern voice came from behind Sora, the voice snapping Sora out of his despair, hand held tighter on his keyblade, “Who are you?” Left palm extended drop to the side of the new comer, right hand holding a sword that had a crooked handle like a revolver, “And they'll keep coming at you as long as you continue to wield the keyblade.”
The new comer had a large scar across his face, shoulder length brown hair, white shirt with a black jacket, and a necklace with a large pendant. Leon pointed towards the keyblade in Sora's hand. “But why? Why would it choose a kid like you?” Leon raised his hand to his face in thought. “Now, let's see that keyblade.” Leon moved towards Sora left hand extended, “What? There's no way your getting this.” Sora tightened his grip on the keyblade and bent hit knees. Sighing, Leon rested his pistol sword over his shoulder, preparing to attack. “All right, then have it your way. Laguna, help me retrieve the keyblade.”

Laguna felt the searing heat of the fireball as the scorched past he and Sora, striking the final heartless with an eruption of flame that sent it back to the void it had come from. His head twisting round, Laguna turned behind him, searching for the source of the attack which had saved them, his eyes stopping on the figure that had approached. His stature was familiar, something reminded Laguna of himself as a young man, the way the man carried himself, his stoic posture. ” Hold on now, what's happening here? ” Laguna questioned, sensing the aggression from the new comer's tone and positioning, only then recognizing him as a young man he had met before somewhere, perhaps in the days prior here in Traverse Town, perhaps from his own home world, a thought that became more possible as he noticed the symbol which he wore around his neck, that of the Guardian Force Griever. ” There is no reason to fight, we must all be against the same evil, can't we discuss this?! ” Laguna was pleading now, knowing that if he was forced to take a side he could not let someone attack this young man who had fought beside him just moments before in the battle for righteousness.

Chapter One: Keyblade Master
Extending his right palm forward, a fireball appeared in Leon's hand. The flame rotated within itself a few inches from Leon's hand. The fireball moved forward slight on its way to Sora when a large shuriken flew through the sky, dissipating the fireball, before piercing the ground. “Hey, you found him! Great job, Squall.” A skinny young girl with a metal headband, short black hair, and a green top stood ontop of the accessory shop with a wide smile. The girl jumped off the roof with a flip and landed beside Leon. Leon glared at the girl, “That's Leon.”
Leon lowered his left hand and put his gunblade on his waist. “The heartless won't discuss anything while they continue to destroy more and more planets.” Yuffie patted Leon's chest with a smile then moved forward to greet Sora, “Don't worry about Leon.” Yuffie covered a side of her mouth and whispered to Sora, “He's a lot nicer than he lets on.” Yuffie laughed softly and extended her hand, “Welcome to Traverse Town.” After greeting Sora, Yuffie looked over at Laguna and waved, “Not sure we've met yet. I'm the great ninja Yuffie and this is Leon.”
Brooding, Leon turned from the group, “Now that the keyblade master is here, the heartless will be coming in full force.” Leon walked towards the the accessory shop and opened the door, “The keyblade chose you…I wonder why.” Leon walked into the accessory shop with Yuffie right behind, “Come on, we'll explain what's going on.” Yuffie smiled and walked Sora and Laguna towards the accessory shop.

Chapter One: Keyblade Master
Sora scowled at Leon as he raised his keyblade to defend the fireball he thought was heading right towards him. Bracing himself against the attack, Sora sighed deeply as Yuffie stopped the attack. The stress of the last few hours began to to get to Sora. His entire world had been turned upside down in the matter of minutes. Kairi. Riku. They were gone. Sora released a hand from the keyblade and it disappeared. Looking down at his hand, Sora wondered for a moment if it was ever there.
Yuffie's smiled brought hope back to Sora who smiled back, “I'm Sora.” Looking over at Laguna, Sora waved, “Thank you for your help.” Sora's thoughts were so scattered that he couldn't keep them straight, “But…what were those things?” Sora followed behind Yuffie and looked down at the ground in solemn thought, “I made it Kairi…Riku.”
A quietness settled in on the square as the three seemed to find themselves at an impasse, the new coming going so far as to summon and hold yet another flaming ball of magic. Laguna was at a loss, his mind doing the best it could to connect the dots and figure out exactly what was going on and how he fit into it. All he knew for sure was that the shadows spelled a bad omen and the stoic young man seemed to want the boys weapon. As the pot began to boil over movement caught Laguna's attention, his eyes straying from the two towards it, from which he gazed upon a young woman, short in stature but carrying herself with a great deal of confidence. The exchange between the young boy, Sora his name seemed to be, and the other two who had identified themselves as Leon and Yuffie had moved quick but it was becoming clear that this boys weapon was special. ” So.. this. What did you call it, Keyblade? It's important somehow? ” Laguna tried to gather as much information as he could, sensing that all of this was somehow connected with the arrival of the shadows and perhaps even the destruction of his home world. ” Thank the heavens. ” Laguna exclaimed upon being beckoned to follow, with the promise of more information stated.

The accessory shop was a singly room, light by soft light and heated by the large fireplace. Leon moved to the far end of the shop, standing against a glass display and looking back at the entrance. Yuffie stopped at the green “L” counter, jumped, and sat ontop of the counter, legs swinging slightly. Behind the counter, a blonde man wearing googles of his head, a whte shirt, and a piece of straw in his mouth. “We've found him, Cid. We've found the key.” Yuffie looked over at Cid with a smile and a nod.
As Sora walked into the accessory shop, Cid looked puzzled and look at Leon and Yuffie until Laguna walked in. A lodk of relief briefly crossed his face,“Glad we were finally able to fine you, but haven't I see you around here before. Name's Cid” Yuffie giggled to herself and Leon shook his head, “Not him. The kid.” Cid scratched the back of his head, “Sorry, kid.”
Seeing Sora's angry look, Leon continued past the confusion, “Those creatures are known as the heartless, those without hearts. They are attracted to the darkness in people's hearts, and every heart has darkness.” Wanting to lighten the heavy mood from Leon talking, Yuffie butted in, “And they are looking for the keyblade and you. That's why we've been looking for you.”

Chapter One: Keyblade Master
Sora followed behind Leon and Yuffie in utter confusion. This world was nothing like his islands. Sora looked in wonder around the accessory shop, trying to process everything that was happening. Why had he been chosen? Why did it have to be him and where were Riku and Kairi? These questions spun around Sora's head as he waited for any answers.
Looking angrily at Cid, Sora clenched his fist, “Hey, I'm not a kid. The name's Sora.” As if in response to Sora's agression, the keyblade appeared out of thin air and in Sora's hand, causing Cid to jump back slightly in shook. Sora wore his own shooked expression as he looked at the keyblade. Taking a deep breath, Sora calmed down and watched the keyblade disappear like it appeared. “But why are they after the keyblade? Why is it so important?” While Sora had just claimed he wasn't a kid, Sora knew deep down that he was a kid and this was a lot to be put on his shoulders, “If I appeared here after the…heartless?…came to my islands, does that mean my friends Riku and Kairi are here too?” Sora felt he could take on this if he had his friends Riku.
Laguna followed the unusual group of youngsters as they departed the cafe, trekking across the stone paved square, and back up the steps he had only descended moments before. Entering through a heavy wood door Laguna found himself back in the accessory shop, which he had recently browsed through during his search to find some sort of weapon. The shop was cozy, it's parquet flooring creating a nice contrast between the plastered walls and stone fireplace. Everyone but himself and the boy from before, Sora he believed, seemed at home her, comfortable. ” Uh.. Laguna? ” Laguna said with a wave of his hand in response to Cid, still confused but not wanting to be rude, as the young girl cut him off and directed their attention to the boy. Laguna listened as they all spoke to one another, settling back near the fireplace, between it and a cushioned ottoman. The boy seemed to be anxious, and had again referred to his friends. Laguna could empathize with Sora, he too had lost two friends, Kiros and Ward. He however was not as optimistic about finding them, sensing somehow that they might be lost to the darkness forever. ” If you don't mind me asking. ” Laguna spoke up, giving the others time to quiet down before continuing. ” How exactly do I fit into this? I mean, I found myself here in this place just a few days ago myself. ” He asked, hoping for something, anything.

The room grew quiet at Laguna and Sora's question caused Cid, Yuffie, and Leon to all look at each other. Leon shook his head, “There is no one here by those names, unless they have just arrived.” Cid through his arms up in defeat and Yuffie shrugged with a smile to Laguna, “Guess your just like us.” Yuffie giggled to herself as Leon put his hand to his face and shook his head, “Your planet was destroyed by the heartless just like ours. Now we fight against the heartless, but without the keyblade there is no way to prevent them from destorying more planets.” Yuffie jumped up from the counter and stood behing Sora, placing her hands on his shoulders, showing him off to the rest of them, “But now we stand a chance!”
Cid grunted towards Yuffie, “There are more worlds out there too and the heartless seem to becoming stronger and stronger.” Scowling towards Cid, Yuffie pulled down one eyelid and stuck out her tongue in a childish taunt. Leon looked towards Laguna, his look seemed to pierce through Laguna as if to take him all in. “You decided where you 'fit' in. Your pretty good with that gun. You can team up with us and fight the heartless or try to make a new life for yourself here.” The more Leon talked, he couldn't help, but have a feeling of deja vu. “I won't force you to fight with us.” Leon's eyes dart over to Sora, his voice tense, “But if you want to see your friends again, you'll have to help us. We can't do it without you.”
Yuffie moved away from Sora and did two backflips to stand next to Leon. Yuffie spread her arms and smile wide, “So come on. Join us! I'm sure we'll find your friends if we try real hard.”

Chapter One: Keyblade Master
Sora looked towards Laguna for a while. Even though it seemed he had been here for some time, Sora could see they were both at a lost. If Laguna wasnt here, Sora may have been in big trouble with those…what are they called…heartless. Those without hearts. Had Riku and Kairi been attacked by them too. Kairi disappeared in front of Sora, but Riku seemed to accepted the darkness, welcome it in. Had Riku been engulfed by the heartless.
Shaking off the thoughts, Sora smiled towards Yuffie with her arms on his shoulder. Her touch felt reassuring and her personality reminding Sora of Kairi. “Alright let's do this. Those heartless don't stand a chance against us.” Gripping both hands and pumping himself up, Sora smiled ear to ear, “We'll destroy the heartless, save the other worlds, and find Kairi and Riku.” Sora looked over at Laguna, “With your skills, I'm sure we'll find a way to defeat them.”
A sense of dispare rushed over Laguna as the fate of not only his own world, but the worlds over everyone else in the room came up the same, gone, destroyed. Feeling his body sinking, Laguna slid over to the couch, slowly settling into it. Leaning forward he put his face into his hands, a position which he stayed in for several moments as he listened to the others speak. ” Wait, is there actually a way for us to travel to these other worlds?! ” He spoke up, cutting into the conversation at hand. It hadn't dawned on him till this moment that they could possible prevent the same thing that happened to their worlds from happening to someone elses. A sense of duty had now replaced his sense of dread as he lifted himself back from the couch, looking around the room at the others. ” If that's the case then I have to fight! ” Laguna said, his eyes gravitating towards the boy Sora, the one at the center of this entire situation. He wondered if the fate of the worlds would be in this boyy's hands, and if that was the case could he handle it?

Chapter One: Keyblade Master
Cid smiled at Laguna's question, sticking his thumb out and pointing at himself, “Of course. That's where I come in-” Cid was abruptly cut short by the sound of a large crash followed by screams. Leon, who has seem apathetic through this whole interaction, jumped towards the door in a hurry without a word, worrying about the residents that he protects. “That sounds like it's from the 2nd district.” As Yuffie reached the door another crash was heard followed by screams coming from a second direction, “That sounds like the 3rd district.”
Outside the accessory shop, Yuffie could see that Leon has already riushed off towards the 2ndy district. Yuffie looked back at the pair, “Could you two check out the 3rd district?” Yuffie pointed towards a large door that was one a level below the accessory shop, “The 2nd district is mainly our residential area.” Without waiting for a response, Yuffie and Cid ran off knowing that keeping the 2nd district safe was a top priority.

Chapter One: Keyblade Master
The silence that seemed to prevail over the entire world was shattered by a large crashed and cut by the screams of those in trouble. Instinctively, Sora's keyblade appeared in his right hand. Sora was right behind Yuffie without being asked to, but nodded in response to taking over the defense of the 3rd district. Sora looked towards Laguna, his own sense of justice taking over him, his smile now gone, “Come on. We have to save these people.” Sora knew that his duty now was the save other worlds, but for now he had to save the people in front of him. Thinking about how he was unable to save Kairi or Riku pushed his legs faster and faster. Without even thinking about how he got there, Sora now stood in front large door to the 3rd district, his hands reaching out to push one of the doors open.
The 3rd district was eerily silent. There was no sign of what had caused the crash and there no sign of any residents except for a single figure who stood in the middle of the courtyard looking towards the door that led to the 1st district. The figure wore a well worn brown robe that covered his whole body down to his feet. Atop of his head was a matching brown wizard's head, just as worn as the robe. The tip of the hat drooped due to wear. White straggly flowed from under the brown hat and a long white beard that came to a point at the middle of his chest. The figure said nothing, simply looked towards the 1st district, his facial features showed no signs of what he thought, but his eyes showed deep curiosity. “Hey, who are you?”
Laguna was quite interested in the direction of the conversation, eagerly anticipating finding out more above traveling between worlds when the concussive vibrations of some unknown force reverberated through the shop. Everyone around him quickly jumped to their feet, fully alert. Banter between the new found allies seemed worried, Laguna simply keeping quiet as they determined what was happening, eventually determining that both the second and third districts of Traverse Town could be under attack or in some kind of danger. Laguna nodded to the young girl, his eyes drifting to Sora who was already moving towards the door, his weapon in hand. Sensing he should follow, Laguna moved quickly through the door, dashing behind Sora as they made their way the massive doors that lead into District 3. Sora had leaned in, opening the door and Laguna followed, narrowly sliding between the towering door into the third district, an area of Traverse Town he had yet to explore sense his arrival some days before. ” Kid be careful, there could be more of those creatures here. ” Laguna said as he followed Sora towards the central area of District three when he caught sight of the robed man. His garment was a deep brown, covering much of his body, making it hard for Laguna to judge the character of the figure from a distance. He instinctively found himself reaching for his weapon, feeling the weight of it in he hand as he allowed the boy to inch forward, ready to attack if the need arose.
