  Anniversary Fair

A cool wind sifted through the trees that surrounded Leene Square, the smells of food captured by the breeze and transported through the area. Jonas sat near the tree line, leaning against the tied taught side of a bazaar tent. The sounds of raucous sounds of laughter ebbed and flowed through the square, it was a fine day. Jonas looked upwards, the deep blue of the sky was dotted with puffy clouds, the sun was warm. Shifting his weight as he pushed off the smooth cobble stone paved ground, Jonas stood and stepped out from beside the bazaar. He looked around, surveying the crowd, opening himself to adventure, hoping that he would meet others that shared his love of the unknown.
” Come on, the race is about to start! ” TA young boy shouted as he ran past, grasping the hand of a young girl and tugging her along. ” I'm coming already!!! ” The young girl replied as she was pulled along, laughter and joy present in her tone.
Jonas followed, the thought of the race sounded fun to him. He had remembered tales of the last fair held in Leene Square, the great adventure that had started in this place. He had also remembered hearing of the races around the square. passing a food vendor Jonas paused, looking over the goodies, making a note to come back after the race and purchase a snack, he had not eaten. In the distance a crowd gathered around the square's central fountain, he could see the four racers lining up, it would soon start.

It had been a long time since Lena had ever ventured into Leene Square. Her parents had told her how her given name was inspired by this place because it was always so joyful and pleasant, traits they recognised in their baby daughters eyes. It pained her to think of them. Just months ago they were living a happy life in Guardia, enjoying the excitement of inventing new tools and never worrying about such trivial now important concerns such as where the next meal will come from or how they will spend the night in safety. Lena just about had enough money to purchase some fruit. The stalls in the market were all so inviting that it was difficult for her not to explore thoroughly first. Fruits, vegetable and other delicacies were all on offer. Eventually, she settled on a small stall with a dome shaped canopy, coloured in white and purple stripes. The merchant was welcoming with a large smile, the kind that favoured money over pleasantries.
”I'll take three apples, please.” Lena pointed to the largest and pulled the money from her purse, exchanging the small, silver coins for what could be the only food she would enjoy that day. Thanking him, she began to eat one, placing the rest in her satchel. As she walked away from the stall, she overheard talk of a race of some kind. Unsure of what this meant, Lena followed the crowds, intrigued by what she would find.

Peter walked through Leena Square, looking at all the people having fun. He was a frequent visitor of the square, setting up his shop to help those who needed use of his magic, but today he was just someone enjoying the fair. His stand usually only got referrals and repeat customers, his tattered clothes and rabbit ears turned most people away. He could buy new clothes. He made decent money here, but he felt that his clothes represented his status of magic. After going from the grand wizard of Guardia Castle to a mutated apprentice level mage, Peter felt only shame. His own greed at following in the footsteps of Chrono got him here and he would not allow himself to present himself as something he would not. His attire and appearance would represent his skill in magic and thats the way it would be.

Most people at the fair looked at Peter and moved away, those who knew him waved and he waved back. Over time he had come to terms with his appearance and accepted it. The fair was a stark reminder of how he was so foolish. Here was where they started their journey 10 years ago, but since they travelled through time whos knows how long that was to them. The sounds of a race started reached Peter's ears, his human ears, his rabbit ears could not hear. He loved races, even though he wasn't that fast. The irony of his rabbit ears weren't lost on him and he laughed to himself when the rabbit lost the race. Most people couldn't tell the difference of his ears. Rabbit, bunny, hare was all the same to people. Most said bunny and unless it was a kid Peter hated it. It degraded his disgrace even further, but sometimes he had fun with it so he ran towards the race to watch, waiting for someone to ask the rabbit to give it a shot. There was always someone that had to make to joke.

Soren was content to walk at a snail's pace, if only to take in the subtle changes in the village since he had left all those years ago. A light wind passed on by, and with it came the enticing smells of various foods for sale at the festival. As he took in the delicious scents a feeling of nostalgia came over him, and he suddenly felt the desire to once more taste his mother's home-cooked meals. Yet he wasn't certain his parents would be glad to see him, let alone serve him a warm meal. Soren couldn't help but to think they might not even recognize the man he had become, a thought that left him feeling rather apprehensive on the entire matter. It had been a long time after all, and he certainly wasn't the naive child he once was.

'It does not matter,'
Soren began to muse as he started forward once more. 'he was right that I cannot leave this matter alone in good conscience.' It wasn't too long before his feet lead him to the square, the heart of the festival. A pair of children passed by him, a boy dragging a young girl behind him while exclaiming that the race would soon start. A smile was drawn across his face at the sight, and he found his worries felt a bit lighter. Even if nothing else were to end happily, this place would always serve as a pleasant reminder of his childhood. 'I suppose there's no harm in enjoying the festivities before visiting my parents.' Soren decided as he set off toward the races, the thought of reconciling with his parents put aside for the time being.

The excitement in the crowd had grown to a feverish level, many young children literally jumping and shouting for joy at the sight of the racers who were finishing up their stretches. Jonas surveyed the course for a moment, it had been taped off while he was resting in the shade and encircled the entire cobble stone paved area which rounded the central fountain. It was not a long course, it would be a quick race, a full on sprint. Eyeing others in the crowd he passed a crimson haired man, his eyes were serious, he seemed preoccupied, but was still there for the race.
” Excuse me. ” Jonas said in passing as he squeezed past a young woman, purchasing a few aples from a nearby produce stand, his eyes drifted for a moment to an odd sight in the distance, a man with large rabbit ears. Jonas thought it odd, but recalling the principles of magic brought back on the last great adventure through time it wasn't a completely out of place sight.
” On your mark! Get set! Go!!! ” A voice interrupted his thoughts, the race had begun and the crowd of people was going berserk. Jonas swiftly turned round to watch the four racers fly by in a full sprint, a lanky teenager was out front, but it was a close race and the other three were still in striking position. The race was over fast, the lanky teen holding out for a victory, as the crossed the finish line the people erupted even louder, Jonas was enjoying himself.

Lena smiled as a young man brushed past her, also heading in the direction of the race. People had crowded around the track, jeering anc shouting as the excitement built up. Lena felt nothing but confusion. What was this race and why was it attracting so much attention? Finally finding a spot to see the race, Lena watched as the race began and the runners sprinted down the track. They were remarkably fast and it was over almost as soon as it started. The victor was clearly the favourite to win, sporting s typical tall, slender, athletic body. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a man with rabbit ears on top of his head. For a moment she felt herself staring, unsure of what to make of them. Were they just an accessory? She had never seen anybody like it before.
After the race, people began to disperse back around the square. Lena adjusted her hood, pulling it slightly further forward, shading her face just a little bit more. She liked to hide, longing to be invisible. With no family or friends to support her, she had managed to find a way to look after herself without the help of others, thus creating trust issues with new people that she met. She finished off the last of her apple and through the core to the floor before heading back into the main square to find out more about the race.

  Anniversary Fair
Peter cheered as the race got under way. His body jolted slightly on its own as if it wanted to run after them, show them how to really run.The was the rabbit talking, Peter could only show them how to really run slow. The impulses of the rabbit came from time to time, but Peter has been able to control those better as time went on. Thankfully, he no longer ran at loud noises Whether it was the rabbit or Peter acting, Peter waved his hands, cheering on one racer he thought may win before the race started. A guess, he'd probably be wrong, but Peter did love to gamble.

Peter's eyes came off the race for a moment as he looked around him. He didn't want the rabbit to get too strong a hold on him. As Peter looked around the crowd, most of the people seemed to be into the rest, but not all. A man with red hair seemed to be watching the race, but there was something off. Another man with a bandana over his head seemed to be looking over something. A young lady caught sight of him as he was looking around. Her expression was obvious, she didn't know what to think of his ears, but at least she didn't run. Peter smiled and waved, making his ears stand straight up as he did so. Being a once great wizard, Peter had a keen eye for observation. It was the tinest thing that could make magic aweful. Peter knew that better than most people and he didn't want the rabbit to take that from him, but that didn't mean he enjoy a good contest so he went back to watching the race.

With the race over and the crowd starting to wander back around the openness of Leene Square Jonas decided to seek out the company of others, feeling that an adventure wouldn't just make itself available, he would have to search for it, prove that he wanted it. Eyeing the young lady he had passed by, he watched as the odd man who sported ears like a giant rabbit waved towards her, perhaps she had stared to long. Jonas waved himself, motioning towards the stairs that led upwards at the back of the square, knowing that there were games and food to be had. Walking towards the two, curious about each, he kept his eyes sharp for the crimson haired man he had spotted earlier, they all seemed to be out of place with the normal citizens of Truce Village.
” I'm Jonas, you look like adventurers like myself. ” Jonas said loud enough for both the young woman and the rabbit man to hear. ” I saw some others too, all likely dreaming of an adventure like the one that started here before. Speaking of which, I heard Chrono and Marle will be here today. ” He continued as he reached the stairs and started to climb, turning to the right as he reached the top. The smell of food and drink was strong here, a long table came into view and near it a large tented stall where all sorts of food was being cooked and drinks being made, Jonas headed that way.

  The Anniversary Fair

Soren soon found he was joining into the crowd as they awaited the start of the race, though he couldn’t shake the thought that he didn’t quite fit in with his current garb. Clearly he was well-prepared for a fight, with the massive katana that he had sheathed upon his back. Nor did it help that his natural expression had a strange rigidity to it, as if he were perpetually angry. On more than one occasion he had been mistaken for an outlaw, or a former soldier, and it always made things rather awkward for him. Yet despite these things Soren was happy, especially now with such excitement all around him.
As their fervor grew ever more the children in the crowd began to jump about and cry out in joy, which brought a genuine smile to his lips once again. In all of his travels Soren had never managed to find anything more astounding than the simplicity of an innocent mind. In the next few moments the race began, with a somewhat spindly teenager in the lead. Somehow the teen managed to hold out until the end, claiming the victory. Soren was glad to clap his hands to congratulate the winner, but was quick to disperse from the crowd once everything was over, making his way up a nearby staircase and toward a large tented stall where they were selling food.
While he walked a rather brilliantly-designed festival decoration caught his eye, distracting him as he continued to move forward. Only a moment later he felt himself crash into someone. In a reflexive motion he adjusted his posture, slid a foot back as support, and adjusted his hands in order to maintain his balance. “My apologies,” Soren began to say, but as he stared at the person before him a sense of familiarity struck him. It was a man just a few years younger than he, with light brown hair, and a bandanna about his head. “wait—do I know you, sir?”

Peter smiled slightly bigger as he saw his was wave misinterpreted by the man with the bandana. He was one of the ones ne noticed when he looked around, could this be a coincidence or time putting him where he needed to be. Albeit, with added rabbit ears. He had no real attachments in this time and wondered why this time, he had only wanted to go a few hours and ask the people when he got back how long he was gone to confirm, but the time portal sent him here. Even the same location it had all started, quick odd.

Peter followed the man, Jonas apparently, down from the race.
“Hey, name's Peter. Yea, there journey through time must have been something.” Peter laughed to himself, showing a slightly knowing smile. His eyes stood upright at the news of Chrono, “Are they really? I'd love to have to a chance to talk to them. Ya know? Pick their brains about the journey.” Peter immediately jumped back as the man pushed Jonas, rabbit reflexes help sometimes. Peter gave Jonas a helping hand if he needed it and simply smiled at the new comer.

As Jonas moved towards the food vendor he felt someone push into him, causing him to lose balance and stumble into the edge of a table himself. Recomposing himself Jonas turned to see a famaliar face, a man with crimson hair and a large katana, he had seen him in passing before, a resident of Truce like himself. Shaking off the jitters from the unseen push Jonas calmed himself, his eyes moving rapidly around the area, from the young woman to the man with rabbit ears, Peter, and finally back to Soren.
” I think we live around the same street, I've seen you around. ” Jonas spoke, re-adjusting his bandanna. ” We were just going to grab a quick snack from the stand here and head up to wait and see if Chrono and Marle are going to arrive today, just being close to them you could get thrust into an adventure, you know? ” Jonas finished speaking, motioning towards the food vendor with a wave of his hand.
The smells arising from the vendor's stall were amazing, seared meat, steaming vegetables, all kinds of aromas which excited Jonas. Pointing he instructed the vendor that he would like a large piece of meat and some of the vegetables as well as a flask of whatever the drink they were serving was.

Lena adjusted her hood somewhat awkwardly, ashamed at her reaction to the man's rabbit ears. She was raised to appreciate people's differences. She smiled intently as she lowered her hands to her waist and then turned to the man in the bandana. His voice and demeanour was so endearing she felt a natural warmth to him. He seemed somewhat naive and playful, like a child trapped in a man's body. The rabbit-eared man seemed far wiser, this clearly displayed through the tone of his voice and laidback approach in his posture. He did not seem phased by Lena's staring.
For a moment, Lena just stood amongst the small group of people, listening intently but unsure of how to intervene. They talked of adventure, something she had longed for in such a length of time. Her life was once like white rapids, flowing ferociously and bending in all directions, constantly on the move and full of excitmenet. Now, it was as still as the puddles beneath her feet. Chrono and Marle were well known time travellers and the mention of their names piqued her interest. Just then, a third man joined them, his hair a dark crimson. At this point, she chose to introduce herself. “My name is Lena. It's nice to meet you all.” Her voice came out far gentler than anticipated, perhaps exposing a timid side to her.

  Event: Anniversary Fair

The more time that passed between the young man's accidental transportation through time and his current situation, the more the event seemed to become fuzzy in his head. At this point it seemed little more than a fuzzy dream, having left him somewhat tired, remniscent of the fatigue you'd have after a night of extremely intense dreaming. It occured to him that perhaps that was some sort of side effect of time travel, but he couldn't be sure. After all, it wasn't as if he'd had any real experience with time travel until then, since it was a rarely used thing anymore even in his time.

But in any case, what luck! Ever since he had learned of the legendary Chrono as a child, he'd always wanted to somehow go back and see the hero's home firsthand. Not only would he get to see a place of historical (relative to his time) significance, but perhaps he'd even be able to meet the hero himself! The thought excited Demitri, and he couldn't help but wear a grin as he entered the town of Truce.

It was amazing to see the differences between the Truce of this time and the Truce of his time. Whereas he had become accustomed to a proverbial technological wonderland, everything in this Truce was different. While some people from his time may describe such a place as primitive, Demitri was uneasy about using such a label because of it's negative connotations. In fact, he found himself drawn in by the relative antiquity of it all. No matter where he looked he found some apsect of it to be quaint and homely. It reminded him of the many places described in the old fashioned children's stories he heard as a child, except it had suddenly jumped off the pages and had sprung to life around him. There was nothing in his time that could compare to a place like this, and he quickly found himself wandering aimlessly in a happy daze.

Demitri was drawn back to reality by a laughing child running past him. The small boy bumped into him as he ran by, shouting an apology as he ran away from three pursuing friends. The young man simply smiled, and continued to look around at the town and it's festives in awe as if he was at some sort of museum. Any time he came across anything mechanical or resembling technology, he'd hurry over and examine it and make mental notes about whatever it was. Even the food stalls weren't immune to his inquisitive nature.

It wasn't long before Demitri found himself in Leene Square, chomping happily on a kabob of various meats as he continued to take in the sights around him. He was very impressed by the creativity of the locals. All of the decorations were brilliantly and colorfully designed, and it really played up the merry nature of the festivities. The young man continued through the crowds, taking note of the various games taking place and making a mental note to try some of them later. Thanks to a chatty local when he'd arrived earlier, he was well aware of what this festival was about, and he realized there was a possibility of him meeting the heroes themselves.

As luck would have it, once again, he overheard a man speak of Chrono … and that he was to be here!

“Hey! Uhh, exuse me, friend! Did you just say that Chrono is going to be here?” Demitri suddenly asked, a mixture of excitement and disbelief apparent in his tone. Could it really be possible that has luck was going to be *that* good? Not only had he found himself in the Truce of 1010 by mere fluke, but now he was apparently about to be given the honor of seeing his hero in person!

“Could my luck possibly get any better!?” He still wore a wide grin as his eyes caught the sight of a man with large rabbit ears. “Whoa. Hey, nice ears, chief. Where can I get a pair of those?” Demitri asked, completely oblivious to the fact that they were *actual* ears, and just how offensive that question probably was.

NADIA DURREN

The horns resounded in a tumultuous fanfare, signaling their arrival long before they reached the village. By the time they actually reached the outskirts of the town, a swarm of citizens had already congregated before them, hoping to catch an early glimpse of their beloved queen. What a crowd, Nadia thought as she glanced over them.

“Make way! Make way for the King and Queen!” the crier in front yelled as he neared the mass of townsfolk. Following his instruction, they began to part to either side, allowing the parade to enter the village. To her right, Nadia noticed a young man — perhaps in his mid-teens — lift his younger brother onto his shoulders so he could better see the procession. The boy’s eyes glittered in delight as he watched on, but no more so than his brother, who would have been a child when the Queen and her company defeated Lavos.

Nadia herself had been too old to sit on shoulders when Marle’s victory parade had come to Porre, but she could relate all the same. Back then, her heart had cried out for adventure — to travel the world, to be a hero. She had even cast away a guaranteed future to follow that crying heart. And for what? To watch castle hallways in an era of peace? Life is cruel.

After surveying the entire town, the cavalcade circled back to its center. Much of the crowd had followed them the entire way, going out of their way to prove their devotion to their liege. The line rattled to a stop at the village monument, a massive fountain, crystal-clear water flowing through its many spouts. In front of the fountain, a tall stage had been erected for the occasion.

Nadia looked around the forming crowd, hoping to eye any suspicious persons before they stirred up trouble. She saw no one of interest. But why would she? These people love their Queen more than they love their mothers. Regardless, the guards began to make a perimeter around the caravan to ward off all but the most zealous of the Queen’s devotees. And even those would think twice when they saw Nadia and her knighted brothers take their places alongside the caravan.

When everything and everyone had settled, the Queen stepped down from her hoodless carriage into the streets of Truce, followed by her quiet King. As Nadia and her fellow knights formed around them, they began to make their way to the stage.

  The Anniversary Fair

The raucous sound of excitement flowed through the ground like a wave, reaching the small meat vendor's stand which Jonas and the others were becoming introduced to each other. Standing on his tip-toes in order to get a view over the planter and lattice rail which served as a barrier for the upper level Jonas could see that a large parade of people were entering Leene Square from Truce just south, it could only be Queen Marle and Crono, along with their assortment of guards and friends.
” I did say Crono! By the looks of it they are arriving now, if we're lucky we can move to the upper most level now that way we have the best vantage point for the Queen's speech! ” Jonas said, excitement bellowing from the young man, his heroes having arrived on the scene. ” Come on, follow me everyone. ” He finished speaking as he started past the group of people, moving towards the uppermost level of the square.
The stone stairs leading up were already starting to crowd with people from the lower two levels of the structure. Jonas rushed, knowing that if he did not secure a spot that he might have trouble seeing Marle and Crono. In the back of his mind he wondered who would also be arriving with the caravan, hoping that Lucca and Robo who had chosen to remain with Lucca would also be present. The upper area of Leene Square was large and flat, cut stone paved and open unlike the lower areas, clearly reserved for large crowds to watch a speech or show. In the far back a stage had been constructed some two feet off the ground, large enough for the shows that would surely take place after Marle's speech.

  The Anniversary Fair

Soren was pleasantly surprised when he heard that both Crono and Marle might arrive today. It wasn’t the most anticipated of events from his perspective, but he did have a certain curiosity as to what the heroes who had ventured through would be like. They had seen things that he could only begin to imagine; ancient ruins while they were whole, creatures that now only existed in myth, and the people who had lived in those times. Soren couldn’t help but to feel a hint of jealousy for the adventures they must have had.
Soon they all began to introduce themselves to one another, with Soren waiting until last to introduce himself. “I am Soren, and it’s an honor to make your acquaintances.” Soren introduced himself with a curt bow of his head. Only a brief moment later they were joined by yet another, a blonde-haired man who was especially ecstatic that Crono would be here. Soren chuckled light-heartedly and began to speak. “It would seem that the group continues to grow.” Soren genuinely smiled following the declaration, glad to have the company of others.
It was then that Jonas broke away from the group to fetch a meal from the food vendor. Soren quietly moved to do the same, purchasing a piece of grilled meat which he immediately bit into. It had been quite a while since he had such a delicious meal, and he found himself devouring it rather quickly. As Soren returned to the group the long bellow of horns could be heard, which he could only assume was meant to signal the arrival of royal procession. When he heard a crier shouting for people to make way for the King and Queen his assumptions were confirmed. Soren was quick to follow suit, making sure to keep pace with Jonas in order to find the best view possible. They made their way to the uppermost level of the square, until they finally came to a stop with an almost ideal view of the area below. “You’ve found quite the spot,” Soren remarked with a firm expression before focusing his attentions on the event taking place below.
Soren was quick to take notice of the cadre of Knights that had taken their places. It was difficult for him not to feel rather disheartened at the sight of true knights. Much as he might try to play the role of a knight he didn’t truly possess such a title. ‘I shouldn’t let such things eat away at me.’ He thought bitterly, disappointed in himself for allowing something so petty to ruin his good mood.

  The Anniversary Fair

Lena was amazed by how many people had suddenly become a group, all wanting the same thing – adventure. Perhaps it was destiny that they were all drawn so closely together at such a time. Whatever it was, Lena had no complaints. She was happy to be a part of something for it had been too long that she had been without company of any real kind.
It appeared that something new was going on as the crowds began to head towards the raised area of Leene Square. Jonas clocked on first and suggested everybody else follow. Lena felt a surge of exciement as she headed up the large, stone steps towards the open expanse where the excitmenet was occurring. That's when she spotted the knights, all lined up to keep away any trouble. They reminded her of the kind she saw at Guardia castle on an almost daily basis. Shaking her head, she tried hard not to think about that difficult time, and instead looked on at what was happening. Their spot in the crowd was quite remarkable and it suddenly became clear why everybody was so happy.

Demitri hadn't been in Truce very long, but he had already found himself among some very interesting people. He recognized the young lady – Lena, he believed her name was – from the forests. “Ah, Lena! It's good to see you again!” He'd met her while exploring the area and subsequently fought off a beast that had decided to attack them. It was nice to know someone else here, even if it wasn't all that well. He couldn't say the same for the others he'd found himself in a group with – he didn't know any of them – but they all seemed to be pleasant people and would certainly make for good company.

It didn't take long for the assembled group to exchange pleasantries and introductions, and before any of them knew it the main event had begun! Demitri may have been able to visibly hide his excitement by controlling himself on the outside, on the inside he was like a child on a holiday's eve. Two of the people he had heard so much about, and admired quite a bit, were here! This day – no, this entire week – had gone his way since it had begun. That was accompanyed but a sinking feeling that something quite bad was to follow, but he buried that thought and continued along with his new aquaintances as they moved with the crowd.

When they reached the upper level, Demitri found himself lagging behind the rest of the group. As was typical of him when he was in a new place, he had lost his concentration and was absent mindedly analyzing much of the things he was seeing. This primitive technology was so interesting! But, he focused back on the task at hand and saw the rest of his group at the front of the crowds. He pushed through the increasingly dense crowd before him and made his way towards his new aquaintances. Demitri may not have been the biggest person around, but he held himself in an extremely confident manner, and that seemed to stave off much of any protest to his push to the front.

Once there. his eyes widened in excitement at the sight of the caravan, muttering under his breath. “Impressive.

Eruca Bell laughed. She had lost the race, and she was out of breath, but her merriment couldn't be contained. She hadn't had so much fun in years. Within the confounds of her parents' estate and during the long, tedious hours at school, Eruca always longed for something simple and exhilarating such as this.

The crowd cheered for the boy who won. Exhausted, Eruca congratulated him with a thumbs up and disappeared into the audience. She found herself at a vendor in the upper level of the plaza, where she purchased food and drink. The cotton candy tasted sweeter than her favorite fruits back at home, and the chilled water was revitalizing in the summer sun. Under the shade of an oak tree and against a stone wall where the grass was cool, she sat, content to nibble on the candy and watch those around her.

Everyone was excited. She knew why, of course. They wanted a glimpse of their king and queen, the time travelers whose stories of vanquishing the threat of Lavos were legendary. Eruca, however, was not particularly interested in seeing Crono, or Marle, or even the scientist Lucca, three of the heroes who hailed from the present era. She instead hoped to learn more of, and perhaps even see, the prehistoric woman who joined them in their adventure. Ayla… Eruca wondered if this woman had any connection to the visions she occasionally had of her own past, a secret she kept even from her parents.

Trumpets sounded nearby, and the crowd quickly began to converge in the plaza. A caravan surrounded by knights entered the front gates of the fair, and as it slowly progressed toward the plaza so did the cheers of the townsfolk increase. Eruca finished off her cotton candy and joined the many people gathering around. Despite being one of the first in the plaza, she still found herself in between the crowd. She struggled through the audience, her small size helping to weave to and fro, and, standing on her tiptoes, she just barely caught a glimpse of the caravan pulling up to the center of the plaza, where Leene's Bell stood tall and proud.

Eruca suddenly found herself flustered to be among so many she didn't know. Maybe she really was excited to see the king and queen? The feeling quickly subsided, however, when she looked around and saw a man beside her with rabbit ears protruding out of his head. The strange sight brought a child-like grin to her face.
