  Roly Poly Victory

After the fall of Poly, Mira knelt down by the creature. She put a hand on the fiend, and kept this posture for a silent few seconds. Then she went to the Roly and did the same. After, Mira allowed Juna to take whatever she wanted from the fiends. The barbarian felt that would make up for startling her earlier. Mira took the rest, butchering the creatures right there. She quickly packaged everything up, including a lot of meat, various organs, and bones. She did a quick wash in a near stream afterwards. Mira had no idea why, but she knew that leaving blood on your skin could lead to sickness.

When she was ready, she slapped a hand on Juna's shoulder. “Victory! Fresh meat! Celebrate!” She grinned widely.

On the way back, Mira largely kept to the path. Once in the town, Mira kept going until she found the place she wanted. “Tavern! Celebrate!”

It was near evening by this time. Most of the town was quiet, especially after the recent attack, but this tavern was loud. A crowd of mostly men was filling the room, and they were getting rowdy. Most of the women inside were waitresses, and based on how they dressed, it was clear they made more money upstairs. Drinks were cheap though, and in this crowd, it was actually hard to stand out. Even those who tried were often ignored, and Mira enjoyed that here, she could be herself, and no one cared. Someone played the music loudly in the corner. He was often drowned out by the other music, but at times, people would spontaneously join in. Of course, drunk people weren't known for their musical skills, especially those who'd start making up words to the music. By this time, many of the tables were already full, but there were still a few empty places.

“Celebrate! Drink! Dance!” Mira cheered.

Some people cheered in response, not caring about what she said, but just using it as an excuse to be loud.

Mira went to the bar and put down some of the wrappings. “Fresh meat! Juna and Mira share!”

One of the men behind the bar went up and grabbed it. He was used to people donating food to be cooked, so long as they got a portion of it. He didn't care what it was. Free food was free food.

She took a breath to calm down, wincing over the hit, but the inevitable happened and an excited whoop left her as the other creature collapsed. Juna couldn't help but do a victory dance, wiggling and bouncing around, as Mira handled the remains. It always made her happy to have new skins to sell and more money to go into her pocket. She had no idea how such skins and and horns would sell in this era, but she was happy enough to try and, if it came down to it, she could use them herself!
Looking over, the brunette saw Mira standing by and invited her to join in the butchering, letting the cavewoman know which parts she wanted and then assisting the her how she could in what else was wanted. Afterward, she washed the skins and other parts off so it would be a bit of a less murderous venture back to the town. A brief inspection of the creatures' horns showed that it could be an interesting tool at least to have and the skins, while a bit roughed up, they seemed to be good for at least some sort of mild armor, bands of some sort maybe.
“Augh, gah!” she choked a bit and nearly fell into the water as Mira declared her excitement and desire to go back to the town. Thankfully she didn't land in the water due to the calloused hand stabilizing her, but she couldn't help but feel her ire rise at the action. Seeing the grin, however, Juna couldn't help but smirk back at the other woman and shake her head, the anger dissapating. “Yeah. To town.”
The trip back was largely uneventful, Juna mostly lost in thought as she considered how much she might be able to get for the items. Some might want the horns as trophies and armor vendors might like the hides. Suddenly. Mira had another cry of victory, “Tavern! Celebrate!” Startled, Juna jumped, broken out of her thoughts, and saw Mira making a beeline for the nearest pub. … This is going to be just great. Now we get to see a drunken cavewoman! She winced at the thought, … This is probably going to be bad… She couldn't help but grin though, especially as Mira burst through the tavern door and cheered about drink, dancing, and celebration. The cavewoman's happiness was infectious and found herself cheering along with the tavern.
Following the other woman to the bar, she rested her trophies on the table, save for one of the horns which she wanted to keep as a personal trophy of the kill for at least a short while. A few people eyeballed her skins, but no one really seemed all too interested, but she knew that most people were pretty good and sloshed by now, so chances are the skins would simply walk away at some point, not that she was terribly concerned about it – the horns were a different story. … Maybe bringing in pointy objects to a room full of drunks wasn't the greatest idea after all…

Mira quickly ordered drinks for them, givine another money for multiple drinks. She grabbed one of the drinks for herself and gulped it down. Then she grabbed Juna's hand and pulled her away from the bar.

“Dance!”

She put her tankard down on a near table, where it was quickly refilled by one of the waitresses. Mira started dancing, and she didn't seem to pay much attention on whether or not Juna started dancing with her. Several others were quick to join in.

“Roly and Poly strong!” Mira had to shout to be heard over all the other noise. “Juna and Mira stronger. Juna strong with bow. Now, Juna strong with drink?” Mira drank more herself, as though to emphasize the question. It might have been an odd question, but Mira wanted to know more about Juna, and she figured that was as good as a place as any.

Realized I forgot to update the HP and MP from the battle thread…not that it really matters here. :) Just want to keep the template updated.

Anyway, let me know if Mira gets too dominating. Given her personality, I might just want to make that a general disclaimer on her bio. Lol.

Juna suddenly found herself being yanked away from the bar counter to another part of the bar. After stumbling around, not even getting hardly anything in her, Juna shook her hair out of her eyes and looked to see Mira… doing something. Did she call that dancing? Wow. Juna didn't dance much herself, and so could only stare wide-eyed at the other woman's movements. Part of her brain didn't know whether it should feel amused or horribly embarrassed, but another part of it just simply knew it wanted to do one thing: get away.
Suddenly there were more bodies near them and Juna high-stepped it away from the small crowd. She might dance from time to time, but it was only when she was alone or when she was in the shower. No in-betweens there. She definitely did not dance in public. No. Nope. No thanks. Nice of you to include me, but hell. Naw. I am not doing it. Other people could embarrass themselves or show off their moves, but she was not one to do it. “I don't know you, I am not here…” Her face pulled into one of those straight-lipped, pulled back, wide-eye'd looks as she stared down at the floor. Socially, she wasn't very adept, but she did like talking to people. As long as it wasn't really much of a crowd.
Suddenly, the cavewoman was shouting again, trying to be heard over the din of the room. “Roly and Poly strong! Juna and  Mira stronger!” There was a roar from the crowd, happy to hear a cry of victory, “Juna strong with bow!” Oh dear gods. I knew this would be a bad idea! The crossbowoman's face went red as the attention was turned to her, “Now, Juna strong with drink?” She felt the vertebrae in her neck pop as her face snapped to look at the woman, her face falling as she stared wide-eyed yet again at her. Juna could have sworn she saw a sly smirk there as the attention in the room shifted.
Shockingly enough, there was relative quiet in the bar as they looked at her. The cogs in her head ground for a few moments as she tried to figure out what to do. Suddenly, her had swiped out and grabbed a random mug from the counter. Was it hers or someone elses? The thought didn't cross her mind as she took a swig of the mystery contents; her throat constricted as the liquid burned on it's way down her throat. The bar crowed it's approval as she turned to cough at the whiskey working it's way down. Why whiskey? Why couldn't've it been ale?

It was only after asking her question that Mira realized that Juna was not next to her. She found her quickly enough as others looked at the other woman. Mira tilted her head slightly, wondering why she was way over there. It really did not occur to her that someone would not want to dance. She thought that perhaps Juna was tired from the fight. Still, as others look at her, Juna had an expression that reminded Mira of ambushed prey. People cheered as Juna drank, but Mira did not.

Mira approached Juna as she coughed, though she had to push through a large crowd of dancers to get there. She gave a smile of concern.

“Juna tired?” Mira patted Juna's shoulder. “Juna no dance. Mira no dance. Juna and Mira celebrate together.” They had, after all, won their victory together, and as far as Mira was concerned, that meant they should celebrate together. Mira could always dance later if she wanted. She did not need music or crowds.

“Drink. Talk. Mira want know Juna. Who teach Juna fight with bow? Juna have family in Juna time?” Back in 1010 A.D., Mira had heard about Juna. All she really knew though was that Juna was a good hunter. She did not know anything else about the other woman.
