  Paranormal Activity
The fall down the hall was rough on Peter's legs, thankfully the aura was immediately went to his legs and heal him. Nodding to Jonas, Peter moved to the hole to help Lena down and looked out across the room. The beds and tables made this area to be a living area, but it was below ground and they had to go through a hole to get here. Peter thought it was possible that there was a normal way to get to this area and may just be a room for help. Peter felt disappointed thinking about how much mystery he put in this place to find it quite normal.

Peter ran his hands across the table as he examined the room,
“So much for the tales of this place. It seems quite normal so far. Creepy, but not dangerous.” Peter looked over to the group, “I wonder what happened to all those that came here.” Peter shrugged, staying in one place here could be bad. He moved towards the one passageway, moving his aura to his hand and see as far down as he could and looked back to the group and shrugged, “Gotta find another way out.”

Lena allowed Jonas to help her down into the hole, the grip around her waist securing her confidence that he was not going to let her fall. The room they were in was strangely furnished. “I don't understand where this hole has come from.”  With very little to search, Lena stayed where she was and allowed Jonas and Peter to explore further. “Well don't speak too soon, Peter. There is something very unusual about this room.” She looked up at the open hole they had came through. There was no way of climbing back up. She had a sudden thought and sighed, before turning to the others. “Well, if you can't find another way out, perhaps you can boost me back up and I'll find another route. Or maybe some rope.” It was not the option she wanted to go through with but it could be the only way they would all get out safely.

Paranormal Activity
The rattling grew, it's eerie jangle dancing through the stone corridors that lead back to the lone room. The light from the lanterns and Peter's aura illuminated part of the lone passage way from which the sound was emerging. Shadows of movement slowly swept through the visual plain of the stone wall, diving into the rough crevasses as they moved from stone to stone. Anticipated the figure finally entered the light, revealing it's skeletal body. In it's hands it grasped a spear as it dragged itself towards the room and the intruders.

Battle time.

Jonas was startled as the figure entered the light, unready for the situation at hand and still not use to the sight of the undead walking. It was moving slow but their backs were literally against the wall, they would have no place to run. Jonas stepped back, roughly knocking into the standing remains of the table. He looked down, his mind racing, placing the lantern atop the table. Reaching he unclasped his scabbard and drew his shimmering iron blade. A feeling a deja vu overcame him, the memories of their fight with Zombor rushing though his mind.
” Yeah Peter.. so much for the tales of this place. And really what's with all these animated skeletons in your time? ” He managed to joke as he looked at Peter, who could no longer doubt there was a presence in this place that was unusual. ” I guess we better deal with this then. ” His tone had changed.
Jonas moved quick, far quicker than the animated skeleton, closing the distance between them quickly. He jumped to his right, narrowly missing the moving top of the skeleton's spear. Raising his blade he swiftly brought it down, the metal of his blade unable to cut the hard bone but the force of the strike still enough to cause damage.

Peter jumped back to see the tales were actually true. Peter had hoped there was living bandits who took over this place and killed any who came, but it really was the undead. He owed his buddy back at Guardian 100g if he ever saw him again. Disengaging his aura to conserve mana, Peter looked over to Jonas, “It just so much better in my time that even the dead can't help, but enjoy themselves.” Peter smiled then gave his attention to the skeleton. He could feel his magic coming back to him and wanted to give a new spell a try.

“Great Ymir, father of the ice giants. Let this creature feel your might.”
Peter closed his fist and the air above the skeleton formed into a small icicles. He released his fist and the icicles rained down on the skeleton. The tingling sensation of using powerful magic shot through Peter like he hadn't felt in some time. To Peter, it felt like a lover he had meet again after nothing seeing her for some time and it was invirgorating, even if the attack didn't hit the target.

The shambling, skeleton corpse ran a shiver down her spine as it came into view. Luckily, it was nowhere near as large as the one they had encountered outside by the bridge. “Three of us, one of them. I like those odds.” Lena said, keeping her distance at the back where she could use her ranged weapons to attack. Peter suddenly called forth a barrage of icy shards, which unfortunately missed their target. It was impressive to see and she felt a tingle throughout her body as the magic left Peter, almost like she was in tune with magic herself. She paused for a moment, embracing the sensation, and then snapped back to reality. Pulling out another of her usual flaming devices, she launched it at the tiny skeleton and watched as the embers burst out beneath its feet.

The Deceased seemed unable to fathom that it was outnumbered, and likely did not have a thought in it's head. It was simply an animated corpse doing the bidding of whoever had animated it, and it's bidding seemed to attack on sight anyone or thing. The creature shifted to Lena, the gleam from it's spear time twinkling in the lantern light. Movie quickly it launched it's spear forward striking her in the shoulder.

Jonas did not find Peter's humor has really answered his question, he honestly wondered why there was so much necromancing in the past. As the skeleton lunged it's spear into Lena he thought perhaps it would be better to worry about that question later. Jonas moved into action quickly, using the force of his momentum as he ran to smash shoulder first into the creature sending it flying backwards in a haphazard tumble. The push, he knew, would jerk the spear from Lena's shoulder but he needed the distance.
” Sorry Lena! I know that probably hurt. ” He said as he stood by her side, watching the skeletal creatures rickety legs lift it back to a standing position. ” It will be worth it. ” He finished with a grin.
Jonas raised his arms over his head, and the already dim room seemed to get darker. A unseen force lifted him slowly from the stone floor, hovering a few inches as the tingling force of electricity started to surge through him. Suddenly a bolt of lightning illuminated the room in a blast of white light as it arced across the gap striking the Deceased with immense power.

After his first use of ice magic after so long missed, Peter's ears flopped to his after the feeling of magic left him. Though slightly discouraged, he made sure he kept his mind on the battle, “I'll patch that up after we take care of this guy.” Peter smiled towards Lena as his pointed his right palm towards the deceased. “Oh Nootaikok, friendly god of icebergs. Show this skeleton how to go with the floe.” Slamming his hand shut, the air once again solidified over the deceased and ice rained down on it, he couldn't let Jonas show him up when it came to magic.

The sharp edge of the spear pierced through her cloak and embedded itself deep into her flesh. Shrieking out in pain, Lena winced and fell back just as Jonas pushed the skeleton away from her. The spear left her shoulder at an angle, slicing up further towads her neck as it went. She clutched at it tightty with her hand, holding back tears of pain. Reaching into her back, she threw another flame toss at the monster, the worry of her wound turning to anger as she clenched her teeth. She leaned against the wall for support and fell down to the ground, waiting for Peter to help her.

The final attack put an end to the unnatural animation of the skeleton, it's bones collapsing as the magic that bound them dispersed in a burst of flame. The rattle of bones echoed through the chamber like a wave, coming and going in varying levels of volume for several moments. The dark corridor was now silent, the mysteries of the ruins laying in wait for the three adventurers to continue theur pursuit of treasure.

The sudden collapse of the skeleton came as a shock to the young adventurer, having expected more of a challenge from the creature. His attention however was quickly draw away from the scattered pile of bones and to Lena who had been injured in the melee. Jonas had not wanted here nearby when his lightning attack had struck, but now he feared that he had caused unneeded damage in trying to prevent her from being electrocuted.
” Are you alright? ” Jonas said as he rushed towards Lena, now leaning against a nearby wall near the edge of the sphere of illumination their combined lights had created in the chamber. He knelled by her side, his eyes lifting towards Peter, who he could could heal her. ” Peter, you're going to want to do something about the wound. ” Jonas said as he noted the amount of blood present.
Stepping aside to allow Peter room to work Jonas approached the center of the room, leaning for a moment on the remains of the once stout table on which his lantern sat. Jonas lifted the small brass instrument, knowing Peter's aura would be more than enough light for him to work ir. Moving forward he neared the corridor, the light from the lantern penetrating the darkness. It was a long passage, he thought, as he tapped his foot at it's mouth, listening to the echoes.

With the skeleton dead, Peter rush to Lena's side. From the position Peter as in, the attack didn't seem that bad, but the position of the attack seemed to have caused some shock which could be bad. Peter's right hand was covered in a green aura and he smiled at Lena as he put his hand over the wound after softly pushing hers off to the side. “Don't worry, Lena. The wounds not too bad just this healing will be enough. Stay calm and know your alright.” Peter waited for the heal to wound completely and winked at Lena, “And not just cause I'm here.” Peter helped her to stand on strong legs and looked towards Jonas then down the passage, “Lena will be fine, but I can see why some of the adventures didn't make it out of here.” Peter looked over at Lena and leaned his left shoulder towards it, “If you need help walking till it's fully set it, grab on.”

Lena could see the skeleton had crumpled to the ground, dead. A wave of relief rushed over her and then she was immediately reminded of the immense searing pain she felt in her shoulder. Jonas and Peter both rushed over, showing their concern. It was overwhelming to feel that sense of comfort in the fact that others actually cared about her. Peter moved her hand to allow himself access to the wound, which quickly healed up and the pain instantly evaporated. She laughed a little as he winked at her and then stood up onto her feet. After rolling her shoulder around a little she felt completely fine. “Thanks, I feel much better now.” Blood had stained the corners of her cape but the wound had completely healed over. “I should be fine to walk now.” She noticed Jonas was looking down a corridor ahead, tapping his foot to perhaps see how long the corridor was. “Can you see what is down there at all? I hope we don't see anymore of those skeleton things.” She picked up her home made torch and provided a little more light for Jonas, standing beside him and peering down into the darkness.

The added light sent a flickering wave of shadows down the corridor walls, revealing intricate stonework which was the foundation for the castle above. The light traveled far enough to dimly illuminate the next room, giving enough impression that the room was large, larger than the one they currently occupied. The room was rectangular in shape, roughly ten meters by six meters in size and was devoid of any furniture. Standing in the center was a three foot high pillar on which a rhythmic drip of water struck from a jagged crack in the ceiling above. Around it's base the shards of a ornate purple vase were scattered, long broken. The walls were bare, the stonework so precise that no cracks could be seen between stones. No exits were present. In the far right corner the skeletons of two were laying in a heap, their tattered clothes and possessions like that of a tomb robber, long dead. The bones were motionless.

Peter nodded to Lena as she decided to walk on her own and took up the back, down the corridor. He kept his aura going slightly as he walking, allowing the other lights to guide him down. He wondered what exactly this would lead them as the secret here seemed to want to be left as secrets. As they entered the new room, the skeletons on the other side reaffirmed what he had been thinking. They had thought to discover what was here, but failed.

Glancing around the room, Peter tried to make sense of the room. He ran his hand across the walls, feeling for any differences, as he looked around,
“What was this place?” The water dripping down could have just happened from age, but it came from down right on the pedastal. Peter made his way towards the pedastal and examined the broken vase. Did this use to catch the water, just rest on the pedastal, or did the tomb robbers bring it here with them? Peter looked up at Jonas and Lena, “Any ideas what this place use to be.” Peter began picking up any pieces of the vase he could find and place them on the pedastal, hoping doing something would help him understand.

Jonas moved down the corridor, reaching the large room. The room was eerie, almost bare, but clearly there was something more to it. He glanced towards the bodies, their clothes tattered with age. Feeling compelled he moved across the room to the two skeletons. Jonas looked down on them for a moment, their weapons were dropped by their sides, two blades.
” At the very least these two swords probably have some resale value. ” Jonas chimed as he turned to Peter who was collecting the broken shards that were scattered about the floor around the pillar. ” I don't think we'll get anything for that though Peter. ” He joked as he squatted and pulled the swords away from the two remains.
Swords in hand Jonas moved back across the large room to the pillar, placing his hand on it's damp top. It was smooth, worn from years of steady erosion. Looking up the crack seemed natural enough, he wondered what was above them.
” We may not even by under the main structure anymore. ” Jonas commented as he wiped the moistness from his hand on his tunic, completely stumped.

Lena used her torch to scan the area around them. Something was not right and they would need to figure out what that was. “I guess we should try and find all of the pieces to the vase.” Being an inventor, she was excited by the idea of fixing the broken pieces together. Inside her satchel she had all kinds of binding materials, from glues to tapes and threads. It's worth a shot, at least.”
She began to pick up more of the pieces and added them to the pile Peter had created. She pulled out one of the glue like substances from her bag and started sticking the vase back together.
“Guys, see if you can find anything else around here. I'm not sure what we can do with this vase but perhaps it is needed to catch the water coming down from that crack.” By this point, she had managed to already stick the base together and was managing quite well to place the rest together, having mapped it out in her head.

There was a sense of bewilderment about the room, at least Jonas felt that way. He had watched the others begin to pick up the shards of the broken vase one by one, attempting to put it back together using some sort of adhesive that Lena had with her. Jonas was surprised at the progress being made, but was unsure if it was the right approach to solving out the puzzle at hand. The deceased robbers swords in hand he made his way along the walks, feeling along the with his free hand.
” These walls are incredibly smooth, I can't foresee there being any sort of passage— ” Jonas started speaking. ” Though I guess a master mason could do something like that. ” He finished, second guessing his original idea.
Unable to break the riddle of the room himself he decided it was best to follow the others, they at least had a plan of action. Joining them he sat the old blades to the side and began to gather pieces of the broken vase, handing them over to Lena at a regular pace, wondering if they could put it back together.

Watching as Lena glued the vase back together, he shook his head and looked around the room, “Jonas is probably right about the vase, but maybe it's design has a clue.” Stopping from working on the vase, he examined the crack in the ceiling, “All the walls seem perfectly smooth and crafted, but there's one crack right over a pedastal. Why?” Scratching his head, he climbed on to the pedalstal and examined the crack with his hand and eye, puzzled.

As he touched the crack, the robber's bodies caught his eyes,
“And why did they both die in here?” Peter looked over at his party, “Let's assume they came in the same way we did. They probably couldn't find a way back out, but why are they so close and in this room.” Climbing down from the pedastal and whipped his hand to dry it, Peter went over to the skeletons and throughly look over the body. Looking for any objects or signs of how they died, such as damaged bones, “It's more like someone put them there. For two people to die of starvation or anything else at the same time, isn't likely. And the last guy to die probably wouldn't lie with the already dead body.” Peter looked back to Lena and Jonas, “Something's really odd here. This room is too perfect with a few imperfection, look for more.”
