The forest that surrounded the remains of Laruba Village was alive with the sounds of life. Prehistoric birds and mammals vocalized that they were alive, the sounds a constant drone of life. Along the forest floor the sounds of leaves an branches cracking as the three Reptites moved through the jungle drifted a short ways. They were lost, seeking the edge of the forest which would allow them to trace their way back to their lair. The Reptites were humanoid in figure, though they possessed features of the dinosaurs that called this time home as well, powerful broad tails and armory scaled skin. ” We must locate the edge of this forest or else we may find ourselves ambushed just like those fools in Laruba. ” one of the Reptites spoke to the others, a sense of frustration in his reptilian voice.

Being in this time was emotional for Mira. Events that she already lived through once were happening again. The attack on Laruba Village emotionally affected Mira now as it did before. She had lost family that day. Now she had the chance to avenge them.
As she traveled to the forest, her usual carefree attitude was gone. Her expression held one of anger. She also looked different. Mira realized that she could not be recognized. She wore more clothes than usual, which fully covered her chest, stomach, back, and legs. Her hair was down, though it was not that long to begin with. Her face and arms were covered in warpaint. It wouldn't fool anyone who really knew her, but she knew those closest to her, and her younger self, were miles away at the moment.
She was quiet as she traveled with her companion, listening to the world around them. She stopped briefly, sniffing the air, then change directions a bit. Soon, she heard the voice of the Reptite. She felt angry, but she stayed calm. She quietly headed in the direction of the voice. She gestured to Peter as she saw the three. Then she went up the nearest tree. She watched the lizards for a moment. They were clearly unaware that anyone else was there. Mira waited until they were closer before she launched herself from the tree, landing on the nearest lizard. She punched at the lizard before jumping away.
“Fight!” Mira yelled at the Reptites as she raised her fists up and took a fighting stance. If they thought she was attacking alone, Peter would have a better chance to make his own ambush.

Peter had gone with Mira once they had reached this time. She had seemed out of place in his time, but here she seemed home. Peter understand that better than most people and wanted to get to know her and help the transition back as best he could. Plus, he wondered how he had gotten to his time in the first place. His had come with advance magic and years of study, but Mira didn't seem to be able to use magic at all.
Peter paused as he noticed a change in Mira. She seemed to pick up on something he couldn't, but had a feeling trusting her senses was a good bet. He followed close behind, trying to keep up with her. Peter nodded back to her and ran around the other side of the Reptites. He paused, gathering magical energy, “Feel the wrath of Lady Skadi.” Peter shouted after Mira attacked and clenched his fist. The air around the reptite Mira attacked solidified into ice and rained down onto the creature, catching the reptites in a pincer formation.

” What isss thisss?! ” One of the uninjured repitites spoke at the sight of human magic, inflecting his speech like a hissing snake. A sense of shock had come over the lizard men, having never encountered a human like Peter before. The materialization of ice was a jarring sense to the creatures, and they seemed to react accordingly. ” We must destroy it! ” Spoke the second uninjured Repitie in reply, it's snarling tone affected by the sight of one of it's own left already near death, badly hurt. The Repities were smart, or at least smarter than most foes. The saw the danger, and singled out Peter quickly. Moving back towards the edge of the forest the two uninjured Reptites never took their cold yellow eyes from him, leaving only the injured to deal with Mira, it was not in their nature to aide on another if help would do no good. The lone Reptite knew the score, and pulling it's beaten body from the ground it moved towards Mira with menace, swiping with it's sharp claws to no avail. Using the movement of their forgotten ally the two Reptites moved in unison, darting quickly at Peter, their sharp claws both angling towards him both striking, one with more force than the other.
Mira was impressed as she watched ice formed around the reptile. She had never seen such a impressive display of magic. Watching the reaction of the Reptites was also amusing. It didn't surprise her to see the two healthy Reptites turn on Peter.
The abandoned one made a pitiful attempt to attack her. She stayed alert. He might suddenly find strength to attack. Mira moved around and attacked again, punching the lizard. Maybe she could put him out of his misery.

Peter fell back, rolling a little from the strength of the attack, releasing a grunt of pain as he did so. The beasts here were pretty powerful, but when he was back on his feet a smile crossed his face, “I can see why you're so tough, Mira.” Peter put both of his hands together in front of his body, “Rider Apollo, bring down your light and heal me from this blight.” Peter's hands glowed green then it spread over his body, healing all his wounds.
The wounded Reptite was utterly sent to his grave by the power of Mira's attack, slumping over in a heap of scales and limbs as he fell where he had stood. The others ignored this act, their target having summoned some aura which seemingly had cured the substantial wounds that had just inflicted upon him. ” Ho..how can we defeat this human? “ ” Spoke one of the Reptites, the gravity of their situation slowly setting in. Pride however was still a core driving force in the un-evolved brain of the Reptites and they would not simply roll over and die, or worse flee such an encounter. Working in unison once more the creatures again singled out Peter for his ability and launched a series of attacks with sweeping swipes of their sharp claws and heavy tails.

Mira felt a concern, and a bit of guilt, as she saw his pain, and that he immediately healed himself. At least, he was still in a good mood, and still in control. Responding in anger could destroy their chances of winning.
One lizard was down. Two more to worry about, and they were working together now. She watched in worry as they went after Peter. They didn't work well together though, as one got in the way of the other, and the quicker one was the only one to do damage. Still, neither Peter nor Mira might be so lucky next time.
To heal or fight? Peter could heal himself a lot better than she could. Maybe the next round, depending on how things went. She went after the Reptite that had managed to attack Peter. He seemed like he might be slightly more of a threat. She jumped on the lizard, landing on his shoulders. She attacked his face with fists before jumping off him.
She looked to Peter, concerned about the latest attack on him. Even if one Reptite had missed, that was still a lot to take.

Watching as the Reptites attacked him again, Peter jumped out of the side of one and took the claws of another to his arm. The damage was minimul and no healing was needed, but he smiled as he saw Mira right on them with an attack, “There you go Mira, keep attacking them.” Peter began gathering his magical energy, “O, Jack Frost, don't just nip their toes, but hit their nose.” The air above the reptite that Mira attack solidified into ice then came crashing down onto it's head.

The Reptite let out a lizard curse as it stumbled after Mira's physical pounding, stumbling for a moment only to be struck almost instantly after by a shard of ice which pierced it's scaled body. The Reptite tumbled to the ground, coughing and gagging as it attempted to right itself. ” Thisss isss no good.“ ” The remaining healthy Reptite hissed to itself, reason persisting over the deepest reptilian rage, though the will to fight remained. Feeling no requirement to aide it's fellow Reptite the creature launched itself across the short distance between Mira and itself, twisting it's body to build up force. The Reptite's tail swirled around and smacked with force into her legs.

Mira saw that he was handling the attack well. However, the healthy reptile will soon running at her. She braced for the attack, but its tail was too quick for her. The force on her legs knocker her down, but she rolled with the fall and was back up on her feet. She jumped away from the Reptite. The landing hurt, but put some distance between her and the healthy one, and she still wanted to concentrate on the injured one.
She focused on the injured one before charging, needing to put a little more effort into her job due to her now sore legs. Because of the nature of Peter's attacks, the lizard felt colder each time she attacked. She attacked where the ice had pierced it's body.

For a split second, Peter worried about the safety of Mira as they turn the attack on her, but then he remembered she survived in these dangerous time. All he could do was take these guys out as quickly as possible, “O Marzanna, let your chill be their nightmare.” The air above the healthy reptite formed into a solid icicle and crashed down ontop of it.
