This might have been explained somewhere, and I just missed it, but how does one put in attack stats when the enemy is weak to something?
For instance, the Zomber is weak to heals. How do you go about attacking with aura, kiss, slurp, etc? How does one attack with a tonic? It doesn't really matter for him now, since he was killed, but I would like to know in the future. It seems others figured it out, but I'm not quite sure what they are doing.
What about the elements? Using fire against an enemy weak to fire? Using fire against an enemy resistant to fire? What if they absorb fire (assuming someone wants their char to have an oops moment).
Of course, the element thing doesn't really affect me since Mira doesn't have an element. Lol. Anyway, I wanted to ask about Charm. If I understand right, I roll a standard D10, and if I roll 1 or 2, I get an item (chosen by you)? If I work with someone to do twin charm, I need to get 1, 2, 3, or 4?
To answer your questions— For determining magic damage with the calculator you simply swap Power for your spells damage (say Magic x3 for example) and Defense for your opponents M-defense. This is what was happening in the Zombor fight, with cure spells being used to do normal damage.
When Elements are concerned elemetal attacks on an elemental weakness do x2 damage (before defense is subtracked) where as an elemental attack against an elemental resistance would do .5x damage (before defense) and if an attack is absorbed that will be handled by myself, I will inform the party of such an event when it occurs. Be cause all combat with enemies is DM'd I can generally be on top of anything like this and explain how it works as it pops up. However I do think I will add some elemental infomation like this in a more easy to find way to the guide.
You're spot on with charm. If you manage to charm an enemy (some can't be obviously) through Charm or Twin Charm you will make a roll on the standard dice roller and if you succeed you will receieved an item. with odds ranging from 20% to 40% based on the technique.
