The world of Chrono Trigger is one that is made to change, as the story exists in many different timelines as much as a 65 million years apart. As characters you will not just explore the world but the world in different eras, effecting the history and future as you proceed on your adventure. Below you will find portals to many of these eras where you will find more detailed information about the world during that time.
» Traveling from location to location must be done in your RP threads with traveling requiring 150 words each time, because of that it’s best to include your traveling in your RPs to make it more realistic.

Prehistory, the land before time in a sense, these are the best ways to describe this time where life is a struggle every day. Humans exist in this time, though they are not the planets dominate force as dinosaurs and their masters the Reptites make daily life a struggle for humanity. Much of the world is dense forest or barren land, violent storms and volcanoes devastate the earth frequently, it’s a hostile place to be. This time is notable for bringing the arrival of Lavos, the destroyer of worlds, who still exists in this timeline. |

The Dark Ages, a time when all of the planet is covered in snow and ice causing much of civilization to falter. Lavos exists in this time, his power being used by those in the Kingdom of Zeal, located on four floating land masses high enough in the atmosphere that they have escaped the lower cold. Events will eventually lead Zeal to fall from the clouds flooding much of the planet and rendering natural magic users almost extinct, a fate that was unchanged and allow the world to once again come of age and progress in technology. |

The Middle Ages, in the many millennia that have passed since the fall of the Kingdom of Zeal and great flood that restored the balance to the world’s climate civilization has once again taken hold, with the cities of today mostly founded and thriving in this time. The Middle Ages are significant in that world relations are in a time of flux with many of the kingdoms warring on and off with each other as well as with the wild beasts which in this time are more dangerous and prevalent then they are in modern times. |

The Present, ten calm years have passed since the events that were set in motion in 1000 AD in Chrono Trigger. The Kingdom of Guardia as well as the rest of the world is in peace, knowing that Lavos is defeated in the year 1999 and that the future will not end in apocalypse, though new dangers will soon present themselves to the people of this time, a direct result of the future being freed from Lavos allowing the events of the alternate timeline to take hold and thrust the future of the world into jeopardy once again. |

The Future, a year after the world was suppose to end at the will of Lavos the world is thriving with the threat of a world ending apocalypse in the year 1999 A.D. having past. The world itself has changed greatly in the 990 years since the present with the small cities and towns replaced by domed metropolises. Humans have advanced greatly in this near millennia, with air flight and synthetic mecha beings being created over the course as well as many other advanced technologies including a time machine. |
