Hollow Bastion.
A world infested with heartless. This was the first world corrupted by the heartless and has become their base of operations in the Realm of Light. Hollow Bastion is made up of a single castle with machinery scattered all around. It is swarming with heartless and is the home of Leon, Cid, Aerith, and Yuffie. The princesses of heart captured by the heartless are said to be here, but none have been able to penetrate it and get out alive.
Sub-Locations
Hollow Bastion.
The stronghold of the heartless in the Realm of Light. Hollow Bastion was once a beautiful castle ruled over by Ansem until the heartless took over and corrupted the planet’s keyhole. Since then the place has become a feeding pool for darkness and said to be a link directly into the Realm of Darkness.
Entrance Hall.
This room is one of the last beauties the heartless has not corrupted. With high ceilings, two staircases leading to the high level, and a fountain in between, the entrance hall in a normal castle would put a person’s mind at ease. In Hollow Bastion, it is a reminder of how beautiful this world must have been before the heartless got their grips on it. All most go through this room to go deeper into the castle. Directly off the entrance hall is a grand library that has two stories with wall to wall books.
Lift Shop.
The hub of transportation around Hollow Bastion, the lift shop controls the lifts that allow visitors to reach higher levels of the castle. The lifts are highly guarded by the heartless so only those they wish to seek higher levels will do so. Using these lifts almost any room or level can be reached with ease.
