ADVANCED COMBAT
There are some things that you can do in battle that aren’t required but can really give a character the advantage in combat. These things are known as advance combat techniques which are all listed and explained below. Also listed here is the speed to actions table which is very important for battle.

CHARACTER RAGE
When a character becomes blinded by their own rage they loose the ability to guard, flee battle, or use any defensive techniques. However rage can also help a character as it boosts the characters strength and ki by 10% for the duration of the effect, which depends on the action that caused the rage. Rage can be caused by a number of things which will be listed at the bottom of this paragraph.
+ [ character death ]: if a character listed as an ally dies you can become enraged for 10 rounds.
+ [ city destruction ]: if a good character witnesses the destruction of a city they will be come enraged for 5 rounds.
+ [ planet destruction ] :if a good character witnesses the destruction of a planet they will be come enraged for 10 rounds.
+ [ defeat ]: if a character was defeated or killed by a character who they are currently battling they can rage for 6 rounds.



CHARGING KI
If time allows you, every character who has learned the ability harness ki can charge their ki up for as many actions as they see fit before they launch a ki based attack. The effect of this is a one action boost of the ki stat. For each action that you use this ability it boosts your characters ki stat by +5% but at the same time it drains your characters stamina by 1% so using this ability can either make or break a warrior.
  
STATUS EFFECTS
Some attacks will cause a "status" effect on the fighter that it is performed on. These status effects temporarily effect how you can play your character. An example of this would be the blind effect which can be caused by attacks like solar flare and make it impossible for a character to perform physical techniques for the duration of the effect. Below you can find some info on the effects of all the status effects here on RF.
+ [ blind ]: when blinded it is impossible to uses physical attacks. However energy based ones are still effective.
+ [ stun ]: when your character is stunned it is impossible to preform any action until the effect wears off.

  
GRAPPLE
It is possible to grapple your opponent in close combat. Doing so can keep your opponent from attacking until they break the grapple, giving another character in the battle a chance to perform a unguarded attack. While grappled a character cannot perform any action until they become free. To break a grapple the grappler must roll a d10, the the character being grappled must exceed the roll to break the grapple. The only action that the character grappling can perform while holding that character is a squeeze attack which does str x1.25 dmg to the character being grappled.


CITY DESTRUCTION
It is possible to destroy a city in or out of combat. To do so the character must be in that city, and use a Ki based attack which exceeds 3000 damage on the city itself. Cities can also be destroyed on accident if a character uses an attack that exceeds 4000 damage and misses thier target. ( only if they don’t have the control ki tech ). If a city is destroyed by a good or neutral character on purpose that characters alignment will switch to evil.
  
PLANET DESTRUCTION
Planet destruction, like city destruction, is possible here on RF. To destroy a planet you must either be on that planet or close enough in space to launch such an attack. To purposely destroy a planet takes a massive amount of energy and can only be done with a ki attack whoes damage exceeds 100,000. Planets like cities can be destroyed on accident if a ki attack above 100,000 damage misses its target. This can be prevented by learning the control ki technique. If a good or neutral character willfully destroys a planet they will become evil. The only way to bring a destroyed planet back is by collecting the dragon balls and wishing for the planet to be restored.
  
CAUGHT IN THE STORM
Any characters caught on a planet that has been struck by an attack powerful enough to destroy it will have exactly 24 hours to find a way off of that planet or they will be caught in the planet’s destruction and the result will be death for the character. to escape such an event without the means of your own space travel takes a 1500 word RP about how you escaped the destruction of the planet, posted before the 24 hour period is up.

HIDING IN COMBAT
It is possible to hide from your opponent in combat to buy yourself some time and to try to give yourself a better chance of escaping. Hiding takes one action to preform and you character stays hidden until an opponent searching for you rolls a 10 or better on a 20 sided dice (in chat `roll 20), or until you make yourself known again. By attacking when hidden you make yourself known. If a character has sense powerlevel ability, and you cannot hide your powerlevel, then you cannot hide.
