Order had seemed to be restored to the world after SeeD’s defeat over the sorceress Ultimecia. Esthar finally opened itself to the west, it’s new found alliance with SeeD a strong bond which pushed reform upon the remains of the short lived Galbadian Empire whose council of elected officials seemed poised to instate a true democratic leader, all of this however was an illusion. The empire had fallen into disorder, the military power seemingly crushed and disorganized, from this chaos came general Stanton Brose who had served under President Deling during the military campaign that overtook the western continent. His vision had always been one with Deling and the military’s loyalty to him instantly caused problems for the reformers. Influencing the councel of leaders, insisting his own loyalty was to Galbadia and not Deling, Brose was instated as temporary head of state, his task to return Galbadia to the people. Two years have passed since Stanton Brose was handed command of Galbadia, at first things seemed to be going as planned but it soon became obvious Galbadia had fallen into the wrong hands again, the military was completely loyal to their general and soon had retaken Winhill and Dollet, with Timber still standing strong against the advances of the Galbadian Army. The people have been turned against SeeD and Esthar, they government using their new found alliance as propaganda through fear tactics. With Timber close to falling it is clear the world is on brink of war again, the true motives of each alliance under close scrutiny.

With Timber on the edge of falling and Galbadia Garden’s decision to cut ties with SeeD the Esthar Alliance has been left extremely under manned. With no other alternative SeeD Commander Squall Leonheart has issued orders to all instructors to send their best cadets in for the SeeD exam immediately. All SeeD cadets have been ordered to report to classroom B2 where Instructor Trepe will personally oversee the selection of those who will take the SeeD exam.

Fearing retaliation from Esthar, General Stanton Brose has begun preperations for a special fighting force made up of ex-Galbadian SeeD and military specialists. This military operation unit has been picked for an as yet unknown mission which is completely classified but is said to be of the utmost importance. Word has been sent to the recruits to travel to Dollet where they will undergo special training as well as take part in a complete mission overview before being deployed.
